Cocodamol - The drug of the credit crunch? plus other codeine/dihydrocodeine queries

they're not even supposed to sell you 2 boxes of paracetamol at once
one box per pharmacy has always been necessary for me
with the occasional pharmacy being nice enough to sell me a bottle of linctus heh, £1.50 for 600mg codeine and no nasties ftw
 
Diphenhydramine is prolly the best one to use if you want to add more to the sedation / nodding out.

And not too much of it or you'll be more than nodding out. Noddy-land more like.
 
linctus :) one pharmacy around st helens merseyside sells codeine linctus, pulmo bailly, gee's, AND the rare morphine/ipecacanhua (sp?) mixture- which would likely cause vomming if abused. shame it isnt more widespread.
it was on show at one Lloyds with all the other P medicines, but when i asked they said "that's for prescriptions"- i shouldnt have told them about my past CD experience/

paramol is a fiver a box of 32 so you might as well see if you like it before diving in and doing loads.
making up a g or two what would you do? just have bottles of liquid lying around and dose by the ml? not sure how stable codeine is in solution for long times either.

It wasnt just for me man, got 4 of us who were going to do it tomorrow.
I heard a good dose was about 250mg.

Nevermind one of the guys in college was nice enough to give me 2 x 30mg DHC's free when I bought 20 vallies of him earlier, all in scripts aswell. :)
 
Just got 84x30mg dhc yesterday, for me a far better high than codeine feels more narcotic as well as stronger, kicks in quicker too, now got a fridge full of grapefruit juice too. =D
 
yeah definitely dhc has got much more of a proper opiate dunt
 
It's never a good idea to combine opioids and cocaine. There has been quite a bit of coverage of the potentially severe consequences of such mixtures, and as the previous poster stated cocaine masks the effects of anything else. Also heard someone mention IV'ing codeine, which causes pulmonary edema i.e. the flooding of the lungs with fluid. Inadvisable

I've had this a few times. Once from a CWE, and once from taking three 30/500s with booze. Extreme pain in the liver area that just disappeared after a few hours. Had a read, and found that it may have been something called toxic overload.

Cetirizine isn't supposed to cross the BBB so that's good if you don't want extra sedation and just itch relief.
Promethazine is good for nausea and itching and sedation, but too much can be nasty (very nasty:().
Chlorpheniramine is really quite nice as Shammy mentioned :) Nice sedation, slight anxiolytic action and sorts out itching nicely ^_^

This was useful. Has anyone tried Loratadine as a non-sedating way of stopping the itchies? I've got stacks of it lying around as it's used for hayfever here at Fourth_Drive manor.
 
yeah i've used lortadine successfully before i think

I can never really get my head round this. As far as I know it's 100% legal for them to sell you it, 100% legal for you to buy it but some places will refuse if you look like you're going to abuse it? I'd be fucking outraged ("HOW DAAAAARE YOU!") if they tried to refuse selling it to me on the grounds that I somehow look like a smackhead. It would be like going in the shop for a 3L of White Lightning & being told "No chance, you look like an alky"
 
a lot of pharmacies refuse to stock it and some will only sell to regulars, linctus is pretty closely watch, places can get fucked for giving out too many.
 
Seems a bit of a cheek doesn't it. Everytime I've walked into a pharmacy here in Brighton and asked for it they don't even bother to check, just give an outright no. Maybe I have that crackhead look about me but i've had luck a number of times in London. I guess it really is all about the pharmacist. :|
 
I have never taken opiates before ever... I currently have the worst and most swollen sore throat I have ever had and have been given some Co-Codamol 30/500... Could anybody point me in the direction of a safe extraction method as I really am a newbie and pretty naive to all this... Want to make sure I do it right and don't end up giving myself liver failure!! Have found some extraction methods but am not sure if they are the right ones I just need to be 100% from someone who is quite familiar with this... I have used the search engine but as I say would really appreciate it if I could be pointed straight to what I need. Thanks... Brownz

Pain relief isnt going to do much. You need to see a doc as there is a reason its gotten this bad.

Tried everything from salt water, to benzocaine lozenges to honey and lemon brews nothing has worked it has been a week.

Been to the docs.. Thats where I was given the Co-Codamol and some Penicillin.. I was thinking of squeezing out anything pleasant from the tabs for the day that is all seen as though I have 100 of them :)
 
I get a sore throat to the point where its like being stabbed in the throat when i swallow - seems i have some kind of intolerance to Orange juice (vit C?). Ive always found that NO painrelief or spray helps - just have to wait till the Antibiotics kick in for some relief.
 
Is paramol and nurofen + still have the most codiene it? Nurofen has Ibuprofen 200 mg, and 12.8 mg codiene where as Paramol has 7.46mg DHC which is said to be 3times stronger than Codiene.(I personally find it just under half as potent but not as recreationally nice).
