Classical music and psychedelics

I have no idea why, but I find "And God Created Great Whales" hi-la-rious.
 
Anyway, some other composers and performers have definitely dabbled with psychedelics at some point, but I'd rather not give names...

Why not? Since the school of minimalism was in part founded on psychedelics. (Namedrop: La Monte Young)

ya know when I first started going to Raves in the Early 90's DJ's almost always intro ed with some kind of classical music that flowed nicely into the world of thundering house music.

Even now, you can occasionally find some examples. (John Adams "Harmonielehre" serving as an intro to Nero's "Doomsday" for instance.) Would be nice to see more.
