Christianity working out for anyone else?

They wanted a messiah on their terms. God don't play that. It is his way or else.
Besides many believed but we're scared of The Pharisses and losing their social standing. The pharisees were the main obstacles. The temple was the center of Jewish Life and they didn't want to lose there place their.

Besides this is God's Universe. I love how God hit a statue of Saint Peter( who was a teacher of the Jews and never was in Rome or long enough to do anything. It was the Apostle Paul who taught the Gentiles. He was a Roman citizen and Was the one to really spread Christianity to Rome along with others but not Peter) with a bolt of lightning on the pope's birthday at his home cathedral in Argentina knocking off the halo( sign of Holiness and the keys to heaven that Christ alone has). A day before blessing same sex couples, refer to 1 Corinthians 6 9-11 you might wanna try KJV, NKJV, NASB,ESV or if you have to NIV which is close but even I caught an error in the NIV study Bible.
Oh and it missed all the strategically placed lightning rods. Hmm, a bolt of lightning hit St.Peters Basilica, twice
when pope benedict xvi, resigned.🤔

You were right about Jesuits. ( you mentioned that in here, as if it was not to good, at least that is what I took of it.

Catholicism is a separate religion with an incorrect translation of Bible. The Vigin Mary wasn't a Vigin after Jesus was born. Joseph made sweet love to his wife many times. Jesus had half Brothers and Sisters; I guess that is what you would call them.
. And you guys screwed with the ten commandments. Where is the idolatry one. Yes there is a second commandment. Oh that's right they omitted the 2nd commandment and spilt the 10th into two and that was eliminated because Catholics are into idolatry. Praying to dead people and angels is forbidden, it is idolatry. God ( Father ,Son and Holy Spirit)shares his glory with no one . Catholics deliberately translated wrong. Just like they make up their tradition and the Popes mindless musings and put them on the same level as their faulty translation of the Bible they never read. God shares his glory with no one.

Read I Corinthians 6 9-11. So every unrepentant idolater is going to Hell. Keep praying to mary and dead people, angels and crosses and statues and it is The Highway to Hell
Sola Scriptura.

There is no purgatory just Hades, Then the Lake of Fire. No nuns or monks. Priests were eliminated after Jesus Christ was sacrificed. One time sacrifice. And we are not suppose to be cannibals. That wafer and wine don't really turn into anything other than urine and poop.
Sola scriptura

The Bible says don't call anyone father
Matthew 23:9
That is in terms of religious leaders and not your earthly father.( children obey your father and mother)
But of course the Catholics have to disobey this. They call priests father

I could go on, but I am done killing time.
Please Cheshire Kat get a real Bible and find a decent Protestant Church, that preaches The Gospel. I would like to meet you in Heaven someday.
Could we please stop with the Catholic vs Protesting arguments?

All English Bibles are different, and most have errors in translations. There is no right Bible, nor is there a wrong one. I use my own translations taken from Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek and cross check them against the Latin and English translations. I had to become proficient in them when I was in formation in the Seminary.

Sola Scriptura is exactly the kind of thinking Christ was talking about when he turned over the money changers tables and condemned the Pharisees
I try to explain different religions from their own perspectives, traditions and doctrines. I try very hard not to put any religion as the correct one, nor condemn another. I would appreciate if you would frame your posts in a similar way. This is a discussion, not an argument. There will be no prevailing idea at the end of it, we all are just expressing our ideas and concepts.

Thank you

Judging by what criteria?
I will finish that for you. ;) Jesus said judge not. He didn't judge the prostitute or any of the people pointed out to him. So I am not sure how the word judge is still in Christianity. We can never know another's heart fully. We can follow our intuition and steer clear of people but can never talk of that person's journey.

I am so glad I have a few of you telling me I am going to hell. I would never say that about you. (just an example)

Not much of a response: I dare you, to listen. I searched and found a great Sermon. Easy to find just type in his name and the title:
John MacArthur :The pope and catholicism

Will be 1hour and 17 minutes and 4 seconds. It fully lays it out the details and most from catholic sources. Give it time it really builds and shows the truth.

As a side note:
The attacks and rocks thrown at him by catholics because he was a Protestant, who? My Great Great Great Grand Father who fled Ireland because of the persecution by catholics to America in the early part of the 1800's

If you are trying to engage me into yet another off your proposed arguments I am sorry to say that I do not wish to waste my time. Thanks for the offer

No arguements, just listen to the sermon all the way through, when you get a chance. I hit a nerve, usually you knock me down. I am not making anymore arguments with you. I am not attacking you ever. It is about the fact that I actually care. You did me a favor you made me realize that like the prophet, Isiah: I had a very filthy mouth.
You were right and I have been working on that. It is 80% less vulgar. Got 20% more to go. Just paying back a favor and I would never compare my self to Saul, who later changed his name to Paul. He was willing to boldly argue against, incorrect views on this topic.
But I have kept what you said in my mind and were right CK ( not Calvin Klien)

One can fill several web sites the size of BLuelight and still not have all the information on the Bible, the various translations using linguistic, historic and cultural/political considerations. It is far too big a subject to cover objectively in a forum in post or two.

When I talk about religion I never try to influence others. I have a great interest in it and have studied much, but I know others have as well. I only wish to state each religious or philosophical idea as objectively as possible and try very hard to let others come to their conclusions on their own terms. I very often include all sides of the same subject to make sure I can be as objective as I possibly can. I have zero interest in debate. If others do and they wish to I will not stop them.

Well I think the reason why is pretty simple, because Christianity is a religion built over the top of Jesus and not in tune with what Jesus actually was. It's all it has to offer, sin and condemnation, because those who promulgate it do not understand Jesus at all.. so they can only try to intimidate a person into following their way of being instead. Believe or die!
I am so glad I have a few of you telling me I am going to hell. I would never say that about you. (just an example)
Only the cool cats get on the highway to hell

is "i don't care what you think but listen to what i have to say" arrogance? lack of circumspection? insecurity? narcissism? or maybe it's just vanilla internet hypocrisy?

Don't even try that; don't is about hipocrisy. As in don't attack someone who is doing something sinful, if you are doing it also. That is the a mistake that only someone who has no idea of the truth of scriptures makes ask Cheshire Kat we can at least agree on that.

A Christian might turn the other cheek as exemplified by Christ.

Matthew 5:38-40
“You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth. But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also.
And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well.

Luke 10:10
Whatever town you enter and they do not receive you, go out into the streets and shake the dust off and leave.

Then they will know you are Christian by your love.
But that's just my humble opinion.

What about the 10 commandments being turned into 9. Don't try me. I will Go all John MacArthur on you. Shall I start quoting scripture about Idolatry and then go all Martin Luther with the 95 Theses's on you back me up that is about judging others when you are guilty your self, it is about hypocrisy.

And my memory may be shot but I have read almost all the books of the Protestant Bible, don't try I will will go all Martin Luther on you. OK I haven't read the lesser prophets. But I can know where to look and go all historical aka the Crusades, The forced conversions of Jews and Yeah Martin Luther had his faults but didn't he get mad at indulgences, what about all the corrupt Popes. Borgia? Forgive me? Which one was his old man, I mean evil corrupt pope? That doesn't narrow it down Forgive me? You want a battle? Oh I don't wanna argue nice try. I can really go all Biblical on you. You try a sneak attack and and not back me up? I wanted peace you only bring War.

That's right King David one of God's Favorites was a warrior King and the Joseph that was in his blood line married the Mary who gave birth to Christ.

You want to go? Or peace? Hehe heh🤣🤣

You have the right to believe whatever you want. No one here will stop you.
Have a great day 🩷

What About King David he Busted a stone in Goliath's head but he was a giant.🤔 was there a second wave of nephilim because that was long after the flood?

Man goes to his rabbi and says, "Rabbi, I need advice. I raised my son in the Jewish faith and now that he is grown, he wants to be a Christian. What should I do?"
Rabbi say, "Funny you should ask me that."
"I also raised my son to be a jew and when he was grown he also wanted to be a Christian."
Man says, "What did you do?"
Rabbi says, "I asked God about it"
"What did God Say?"
"God said, "Funny you should ask me that.""
