i agree with that work thing. it was definatly a theme of my first acid trip. and perminately ingrained in my mind.
the thing with technology is that it opens opertunity. opertunity is intert, technology is inert, matter, is an inert thing in the world of karma, which relies on intent, initiative, thought, and action; the ways our spirits interface with reality.
when given the opertunity and choice (free will made even freer via limitless, or seemingly limitless as americans see things) an ill willed individual will degrade and neglect the natural things that reality has to make us stronger, take our minds off of things, balance us, excersize our bodies and minds, like work and problem solving.
the laws of our humanity will still exist; the spirit will still exist, and we cannot escape through physical or technological means no matter how advanced.
BLAMING technology for the neglect and weakness and lack of direction and motivation is of the same mind which is of the described state; much similar to blaming drugs for killing people.
throughout history a majority of people will live one way, using the physical world to the advantage of their own distruction. but the word of God will still be under every rock, speaking from the leaf of every tree, and seeping from the pores or existance.
i agree, be the change you wish to see in the world.
karma, its not like people dont have the opertunity to be self sufficient and DIY. we dont need cars, the scale is only for people that want to "keep up" with the rest of the world.
i say if technology erks you, and especially if it doesnt, get a garden, shit you could even just grow plants in forest. live in the woods. become a sustinance farmer and continue on with your life locally. design mass transit systems. DO WHAT YOU WANT TO SEE.

not becoming what you want is the same no matter what kind of technology is introduced to the world. it is the way people use it, their intents, and actions that fuck things up.
i mean, imagine being a scientist living in the woods. a problem arises. you need societys help, had you been a regular member of society it would not be given; you would be ignored. however your story is diferent; you are living a concept, living the dream, becoming what you really are, and living to your full potential. not only are the people now eager to help you in any way, but you have their attention, and the ability to influence their lives. they want to change and you are offering a living example. this is how things work... apply this concept to anything. it is magic; a gift of knowledge from understanding and becoming one with the source and nature of our design. this is the hand of karma.
