Television Breaking Bad

That meme made me LOL hard :D

I remember Hector's face when Gus said it was his last chance to look at him and then Gus got all freaked out when he did look at him; he knew Hector somehow had an upper hand.

I also was totally not expecting a suicide bombing on Gus by Hector. It fits perfectly though. When Tyrus left and Walt said to Hector "Let's get to work" I was confused about how he and Hector were going to brainstorm a plan to get Gus, but now I know he meant to get working on the bomb. And to have it rigged so Hector's little bell was the trigger, comedic and logical genius =D

i wonder how they can continue the show now if they even plan on it

I had the same question after this season finale. But Vince Gilligan has this idea for Walt to turn from "Mr Chips to Scarface." We're rooting for the bad guy now and I don't think the full transformation is even fully complete yet. One of the biggest story lines now is Hank getting dangerously close to exposing the late Gus' operation, and as a result Walt's role in it. And Gus was working for some German conglomerate right? Don'y they have a say in this? What about Walt's relationship with Jesse? Walt effectively killed Jane, poisoned a little boy, and even put the life of his elderly neighbor (played by the creator/writers mother lol) at risk just to save his own butt. He's got some questions to answer.

But I do share some of your concerns. Even with all that, there's still sixteen episodes left. I hope this show doesn't jump the shark.

The show could end right now and I wouldn't feel bad about it. I wish they ended it with season 4, but I guess not. How their going to continue the story in a positive manner is beyond me, but I'm damn sure gonna find out :)

Taken from wikipedia....

''On August 14, 2011, AMC announced that Breaking Bad was renewed for a fifth and final season consisting of 16 episodes that may be split over two seasons''

I hope they end up making there own lab where they are boss in the 5th season...

Oh, I already knew they were making a fifth season. My point really was I kinda wish they wouldn't.

How many times are we going to 'reveal' they renewed for another season? ;)

This is definitely the last one. At least I hope it is. With the surprise ratings this season got, AMC is probably going to pressure the fuck out of them to do another season, even though Gilligan originally only wanted 4, but moved to 5 as he felt that there were more storylines to go through. I'm sure the decision not to kill Jesse off in the first season had a lot to do with this being a 5 season show instead of a four season show. What would this show be without Pinkman?

Although this show is so fucking great that they probably could have made six seasons out of it with the way Gus and Mike came on the scene. Anyways, I'm glad they don't want to go the way of The Sopranos or Rescue Me, which both went on way longer than necessary. Dexter is beginning to fuck up now that it is apparent that no ending is in sight. There are already tons of examples of shows that went on way too long, and I can only think of one that had the balls to end it while it should have: The Wire.

I hope the next villain is even more of a badass than gus. I wish we learned a lil more about his mysterious backround too seemed like the writers f'd that up a lil but o well he died pretty awesomely.

hopefully the investigation into everything will reveal a bunch of information because im interested to see if they ever really tell use who gus truly is. since hes dead they could ID him by dental records possibly if he has been using an alias since he lleft chile. walt has the car wash so he has some money coming in, but jesse doesnt. i think hes going to try and start cooking again but i cant see walt going for it, esp considering everything he has been through.

we heard on the TV news that 3 people had died in an explosion at the hospital. earlier, we saw Gus with a face like a mangled Terminator, who fell over very quickly (somewhat like the way Peter Griffin in Family Guy always falls over ;)).

but do we actually KNOW that Gus is dead? maybe a random nurse was the third person. maybe he survived!

but we'll never know, cos that's it finished.

only joking! did you all hear that they're making a new series? next year, apparently.

I actually postulated about that in a post a few days ago. Watching the episode again, you can see that Gus has severe damage to his face, but really in the brain area it looks like only the frontal lobe on one side is damaged. He could definitely survive that, though i wouldnt want to see the result.

I just started watching Breaking Bad last weekend, when I was going through a really depressive state. It kept me really entertained, right now I'm on season 2, at the part where Jesse is trying to hunt down the junkies that robbed him. I really like this show actually. It's the perfect balance of drama, action and humor, and it leaves me on the edge of my seat after every episode. What are your guy's thoughts about it?
