I said to someone the other day that I wanted someone to simply tell me who my 100% perfect person was so I wouldn't have to deal with all this mucking around ... but I think I've changed my mind. For the first time in... well... ever, I'm enjoying being single. I've met some pretty fucking cool people and every night is so much more of an adventure. =D

The one thing I am noticing however is there can be such a difference in lifestyle between couples and singles. When I was in a relationship I was perfectly happy hanging around at someone's house just with close friends. These days I want to go out and meet people [not necessarily with the intention of picking up] but hey... it's fun being a single girl in Sydney. ;) I've only got one single female friend and praise the Lord for her because I'm kinda in love with the girls night out. So yeah... is this my first 'happy to be single' post? Probably. ;)

lifes such a blast when you have no one else to think about but yourself (a selfish comment i know, but hey.. we all need some "me" time..)

and to be honest, i wouldnt even have the time to dedicate to a relationship at the moment....

yay for being married to work and sport!!
 
I think basically my 'problem' is unreasonable expecations. Nobody is yet to live up the theodore the teddy bear for being cuddly, neglectable and yet dependable. He and I have been going strong for 20 years, sadly, like most long term relationships, there is no sex.

Does anyone find no one is interested in a relationship anymore? and the ones who are arent the sort of people you'd be interested in?
