bluelight music production 2002

fark its 2002 already!
we're in the future. How bout we all make sum futuristic music without incorporating the past too much. theres a chalenge for u guys :) i'd luv to see what yous come up with...

Word to the music makers!
I'm stuck with the utter, UTTER basics. I have a free copy of Fruity Loops 3 that I got off a mate's FTP site, and I'm painfully learning how to use it. I have no, repeat NO musical knowledge, so anything beyond a rhythm has been a struggle. However, I've made some stuff with an old drop-and-drag program (Dance EJay 1!), and I've got an idea of what I want to make. All I really need is the musical knowledge and the time...

ookay...
How much you want for the drum station aksen ? email me...
My current gear list:
Emu E5000 Ultra sampler...few weeks old, 66 meg ram and 4 gig hard drive... YEAH BABY YEAH
Roland MC505-collecting a bit of dust at the moment...some nice drum sounds but thats about all i'm using it for anyway
Yamaha RM1X- da Barrah live sequencer
Kawai K5000s Advanced Additive Synrh - Very digital, but in a good way. Nothing sounds quite as...different. This is a fucking awesome set of key's I will NOT part with ever
Emu Emax SE sampler : Old fucked up crunch 12 bit sampler with analogue ssm filter chips...mmm
Sony DPSV55 quad efx: Awesome efx unit, only let down is it's delays don't sync to tempo..
Behringer Virtualizer pro: Okay, nothign special. I only paid 150 for it new, and it sounds like I've paid 150 for it...
Kawai k3m: Old skool hybrid digital analogue rack synth. not bad, sounds retroey...
Behringer mx2004A mixer: It's got me this far, but I want a mackie, something with more buses and something that will take the bashing of gig's....anyone want to buy the behringer email me!
Want List:
Access Virus Rack <- I'm sick of boxes..need more little rack thingies...and viruses are da barrah
Emu RFX32 card, plus extra input cards and output cards for the e5000.... this will give me 16 32 bit effect units inside my sampler, and i won't need any external effects (bar probably some analogue compression)...with the input cards, i can route external signals through the efx...yum!
My goal is to simplify the fuck out of the live rig....but at the same time giving it some real power and balls...

Fruity Loops 3.4
Cubase
Used Rebirth for a little bit and couldn't be bothered anymore.
SoundForge
Used to be a bit of an Impulse Tracker fiend though
Generally concentrate on melodies and breaks as my friends are absolute beat masters and I dont' want to try to compare myself to theirs.

Greetings Starfighter!
You have been recruited by the Star League to defend the frontier against Xur and the Kodan Armada!

Just thought I'd bump this a little, cause it's nowhere to be seen...
And also cause I'll have a new track up this afternoon, called "Bouncealong" ;)
Pretty cheesy, but funky... I like ;)
Just click the link down thar...

Does anyone know of a small aiff to mp3 encoder. My computer is only a p133 with 1.5gigs so it's pretty important that the program is small
I'll try get some tracks up on mp3.com and you guys can see the amazing things that can be done with a pez computer such as mine.

also, going way back in the thread, panick said:

this is a fullsick idea. everyone should get one track fully finished and polished to perfection, we all stick it onto a cd and sell it to raise money for BL (or another charity, or me...)
does anyone agree? i think we'd end up with a wicked and incredibly diverse bunch of choons!

i think everyone could be honest enough with themselves as to know if a song is good enough to be included (i know i havent done anything worthy yet but im sure i could put some effort in and russle something up). youre right it could turn into a shitfight with people saying 'nah that song is shit maaate' etc.
anyway theres only about 10 people on this thread, one track each should fill up a cd nicely.
also my mp3.com site is here but there wont be any tracks on it for 72 hours (and theyre not all finished anyway)

hmm u've inspired me to get my dnb shit up on the site!
hmm
its all too empty but..
i'll listen to ur track now!
btw...
u should be able to find a shareware mp3 encoder...check out mp3.com or mp3.com.au ....they might be able to point u in the right directi0n
