Bloc Roll Call!!!

My plans for a place to stay have spectacularly fell through at the last minute haha. My mate's sister appears to have changed her mind about letting us stay in her flat, can't really say that I blame her tbh but it would have been nice if she didn't wait till the last fucking minute.

It's gonna be £90 each out of the booze/drugs fund for a hostel. Bad times. My mate's booking one the now, I just hope he gets one reasonably near the venue.

Anyone got any experience with London travel hostel type places? I know the ones round here are fucking shite.
 
In answer to your first query, don't get the tube or train to the nearest stop to the venue as I wouldn't put it past the OB to have sniffy out on patrol there, at least for a while, when so many guaranteed drug takers will be passing through the area. Bus would probably be better.

Don't ride on the Tube at all if your carrying. Stations have random sniffers. Club together and get a taxi.
 
Aye taxi seems like the best plan.

Just been in a pure blind panic there trying to book somewhere. Saturday night was booked to fuck everywhere, even watched one place become fully booked while I was looking at it.

Dunno if my mates will be chuffed as they were wanting a cheap as possible hostel but I've booked a 2 bedroom apartment haha. Fuck it, I'm not too keen on some manky backpacker hostel with 12 cunts in 1 room so I've taken an executive decision & booked a topper %)

Sound advice. Although, in all my nights out clubbing in London I've never seen sniffer dogs by the tube (TOUCH WOOD HERE). But you're right, this is an opportunity they probably won't pass on. :sus:
 
I don't really want to take the chance copper wise. Taxi whenever I've got drugs on me is the plan. We're not far from the venue anyway. Staying in Canary Wharf - apparently got banging views from our 16th floor apartment %)

I fucked up though, I've booked an apartment with two double beds. Not that it really matters, there's about 3 couches as well & cunts will just pass out wherever. We're gonna look like a right sqad of bummers when we rock up to get the keys though haha.

Canary Wharf is strange place at night.
 
It's deathly quiet compared with central london I found.

It's weird in the day too imo

I've stayed in the new travel lodge near to the new london airport a coupla times because I'm poor and can't afford a swanky apartment. It's near to CW. there's a decent cinema there though, open til fairly late and usually fairly empty .. and the DLR is way nicer than the other tubes

Just packed the Begbie Bag. Fucking RARING to go!!!! Some cunt better mind & bring the fuckin' cairds!

Aye man, my rooms like spaghetti junction with cables but they all lie on the floor, it was purely because that cable I was banging on about runs from where my laptop is sitting in that picture to my bed (on the right). It's probably quite obvious why I quickly decided not to bother when it was going to cost more than 20 quid.

hahaha very nice head bag had one of them for years its seen a few sights, gonna get up early tommorow I think and start packing, cant seem what I really need for 5 days though. Its still pissing it down but every single stage is indoors and its all concrete so cant really complain !
 
Glad to hear it's all concrete. I thought I was gonna get muddy as fuck. It's meant to rain all weekend I think. I'm not arsed about getting wet, just gonna be wearing jeans & a tracky top.


All that's in my bag is a load of boxers/socks, about 6 or 7 t-shirts, a pair of shorts & toiletries (toothpaste & ish).


That's me finally woke up. Need to get down the shop for some Buckfast pronto.

Was up till 4am this morning "packing" (drinking, smoking and occasionally putting something in the bag) then up at 7.30 to finish off and get train. On train to London now, was going to have a few hours waiting for my pal to finish work but he's phoned in sick - good man!

Got a job application to get sent in for tomorrow morning deadline so can't quite get into the appropriate frame of mind yet.

I was reading about this year's Bloc for the first time last night, never bothered looking before. Can't believe they've got a fucking VIP entry for £25, bit elitist, and looking at the forum (which has been dead since March) there are a lot of regulars who aren't going to be coming to this one because of the big change in style - i.e. not in Butlins or whatever. So atmosphere might well be different to previous Blocs. Will still be good I'm sure but different to previous ones.

Have you been before, PTCH? I was at Hemsby a few years ago, battling through the fog on ketamine.
