Doesn't look like the most ideal festival to go to if you don't like post-dubstep. About 70% of the artists playing/djing there come under that category.
 
Just at a quick glance through the lineup I can see loads of folk that I really want to see.

Snoop Dogg, Richie Hawtin, Flying Lotus, Ricardo Villalobos, DOOM, Jamie Jones, Carl Craig, Nicolas Jaar, Apparat, Four Tet, Hud Mo, Surgeon, Art Department, Sandwell District, Nathan Fake.

I'm not totally against a bit of dubsteppish type stuff, I just really don't like Joy Orbison yet really do like Jackmaster so I don't want Joy Orbison ruining his set.
 
Joy Orbison or Joy O as he calls himself these days mostly makes techy/funky/house mash ups now. He's moved away from the standard dubsteppy sound. Have you heard Ellipsis with a sample from the legendary Source Direct? Pretty good tune I think.

Saw this on my mate's facebook earlier. I never even clicked on to the fact that there's nothing on till 5. That's a bit strange. I reckon we'll just tan a cargo & head in about 5ish then (edit - I'll be realistic in fact, we'll tan a cargo with the intention of heading in at 5, in reality we'll probably get more booze & not go till about 10 lol). All I really care about is Snoop at midnight & Ricardo at 4am. The rest of the time I'm probably just going to sneak about trying to steal that Stubnitz boat. (Edit - Fuck! Jamie Jones & Villalobos are on at the same time :()

There's not much that I want to see before midnight actually. Just Nicolas Jaar & DOOM. I would probably have went to see Spencer on the boat but he's on the same time as Nicolas Jaar.

I thought we'd fucked it big time by still not having booked anywhere to stay with only a week to go. Turns out my mate's sister has a flat in Camden & is away for the week at least (she's the manager of some semi-big band, cannae mind the name though) so as long as he can manage to acquire the keys then we're fucking sorted %)

What your plans bud? When you heading down n that? We're flying down Thursday night.

bah - I badly wanted to go to this but i'm starting a contract on the 2nd and won't be ding any drugs but ganja for 10 weeks :|

Fairly risky putting Villalobos on at 4am!! Especially with his buddy Hawtin playing next door at 2. Villalobos will be fucking monged by time he figures out where the decks are and how his bag of ket has been raped by his own nostrils.

Out of the many times I have heard Ricardo, I have come to understand that you have to have taken the same amount of ket as him sometimes to understand his set :)

Yeah well probally end up doing the same, dont usually head in till a bit later on, erm catching the train down from manchester on thursday morning then going out and about somewhere thursday night probally just a few local boozers or something then up bright and early on friday to get back on it, getting the train back on monday, my mate who lives down there says theres a fair few afterpartys on the sunday ha will get more info later, saturday ;

I reckon I'll need to miss Flying Lotus in favour of Four Tet on Saturday as he's most likely who my mates will want to see (bad one, as I really didn't rate Four Tet at all when I saw him in Subby).

If anycunt even suggests going to Jeff Mills instead of A.T.O.L. they're getting slapped. Last time I saw Mills was in Tresor, he was the reason we went to that particular club on that night, saw 10 minutes of him then fucked off downstairs & listened to, what I assume was, the residents playing for the rest of the night. Mills was boring as fuck & from what I heard from people who listened to more of his set than me he didn't improve much after I fucked off.

Surgeon to close it is a winner %)
 
Spoilt for choice there on the Saturday. I'm looking most forward to ATOL, never seen Shed before. Plus, the entire night in the Dome is very much my cup of tea as well! :D
