I really liked you video PW...
I also liked the song a lot. What are some more good songs by them? I may just go on a downloading spree....
ummm...lol honestly I don't know! I tend approach music more on a song by song basis. I don't often like to listen to a whole album, as I get tired of hearing the same artist over and over, unless it is someone who I am really in to. I'm more of a "mix" kind of guy.
Anyway, I just heard that song somewhere, liked it, and downloaded it. The I remembered it and thought it would go well with the video. As I recall, they came out with an album in 2007 called "pocket symphony" that had a few good tracks on it. I still have it. Maybe check that one out, or google up some reviews of their work and see what people recommend as their best stuff.
Thanks all for the nice comments. I'm glad you liked the video.
Thanks for the critique too, L2R. I had wanted to edit it a bit more tightly, and thought about trying to sync it up with the music more, but it was late, and after spending some time on the first few clips, I just sort of tossed it together and edited out the crap parts of the individuals clips.
It was also my first time working with Adobe Premier. I don't know what it is about Adobe products, but they seem to be anything but user-friendly. I mean, I know they are really powerful, and people can do some incredible stuff with them, but I think that in order to get all the complexity and depth to the program, they sacrifice the user-friendliness and simplicity that could make them easy to use. I still barely comprehend photoshop. The learning curve is so steep. It's not like you can just pick up the basics from playing around with it, and then naturally learn the rest as you go along. You have to read huge manuals and book after book to really be able to use it, sometimes even for simple stuff that shouldn't really be hard. For instance, I could not for the life of me, figure out how to make a simple title screen with words on a black background, or fade in or fade out to black. There doesn't seem to be an obvious option for it. The only way I could work out to do that, was to create a totally black jpeg, and then transition into and then out of that. It is like a 10 step process to do something that simple. Couldn't they just have an option like "fade in" or "fade out"? I just don't get it and it is frustrating as hell.
