^ I also thought that. A friend just told me he was sure that there's only the one. I'm not so sure.

They said on JJJ this arvo that there were extra tickets. Not sure about the release date though. Download todays Top Shelf (Robbie Buck) podcast if you're desperate to know. :)
 
2nd release of tix for Sydney starts 9am monday morning. 10,000 extra tix on sale. Not sure where from (BDO website of ticketmaster)....

I missed out this morn as well, shouldn't have, was there putting details in and clicked buy and it came up and said sold out....must have missed out by like 4 tickets or something... :(

So, we're off to the Melb one, not a bad thing :) See all you Sydney rejects there!

I might try and pick up a ticket on monday. Chances are I'll be on the other side of the country (in which case I'll head off to perth's bdo), but it'd be nice to have the ticket just in case. There's some acts I'd really like to see this year!
 
Why am I not surprised. I'm sure last year sold out within weeks, not a day. I think Field Day sold out faster than it did last year too. Lousy scalpers.

There's always jumping the fence or doing volunteer work there.

i think the "fuck you's" should be directed at the promoters for not creating a system to fuck the scalpers. bottom line they don't care, just look at the line ups for the past few years for example
 
^ Yeah, my neighbours did that a few years ago too.

If you show up on the day, you're likely to be able to get a cheaper ticket anyway. I had to sell my sister's on the day last year and lost $15 on it. Nobody I spoke to was intending on paying cost price and most of the scalpers seemed to be selling them for less than cost too.

I'm very skeptical with this. Maybe due to past BDO's where it has sold out completely and they have released more tickets, then you get there and it's so packed that your constantly breathing down someones back where ever you go.


Fuck sydney bdo if they're releasing an EXTRA 10,000 ontop of what they're already intentially meant to sell. Then saying some bullshit that they stopped selling the tickets to cover their arses.


Well, another thing was due to not having a bdo on Australia day i thought that they would have a 2nd sydney bdo on that day. But according to the site that hypothesis is blown out the window



P.S. Damn Australian Open finals in Melb, making it very hard money wise to book decent accomodation on that weekend

Well here's the information for the release of the last 10 000 Big Day Out tickets. If I tried to fully express my thoughts on the matter I would just say fuck and cunt a lot. I think I might try jumping the fence this year just on principle.

Final 10,000 Sydney Big Day Out ticket sales information.

With 45,000 tickets for the Sydney Big Day Out snapped up in a few hours we have held back the final 10,000 for sale over the next ten weeks in ballot form.

The first 5,000 will be sold at $125 + bf and the final 5,000 will be at $150 +bf.

Here’s how it will work.

Each week 1000 tickets for the 2007 Sydney BDO will be made available on our website via an online randomly drawn ballot.

The ballot will be drawn at 9pm EST Thursday each week, beginning Thursday 26th October and finishing Thursday 28th December.

The weekly ballot ticket limit is 2 tickets per person.

As the Big Day Out overall has a strict limit of 4 tickets per person, if you have previously bought Big Day Out tickets and if upon entering into the ballot you surpass the 4 ticket limit, no tickets will be allocated to you. This will be strictly adhered to.

Registering for the ballot

Registrations will open at 9am EST Friday 20th October.

You will need to complete and submit the ballot registration page on this website.

Your registration will only need to be completed once and will last for the duration of the balloting weeks.

If you are successful in the ballot

An email will be sent to you within 30 minutes of the ballot draw. This will provide details of how to complete the order, ie, pay for your tickets.

You will be given 5 days to pay for your ticket order (until 9pm EST Tuesday following the ballot). If in this time you have not paid for your order, these tickets will be forfeited and put back into the next week's ballot.

Tickets for other cities are still available so why not consider Auckland or Adelaide BDO instead of paying a scalper for their holiday.

Selling tickets for higher than the face value is a breach of the conditions of sale. Tickets sold on auction sites will be declared invalid and the ticket holder will be refused entry. You have been warned.

ie: we can make extra $$$ on the tickets, but everyone else can't.
 
^ Yeah and I'm sure scalpers won't go in the ballot either. If they really cared they would have done the same thing as Splendour did.

Hmmm... Maybe I should go in the ballot and if I win make up for the extra price by breaking an equivalent amount of BDO property. Or go in a different city. Or not go. So many options...
 
(OH) Btw - I got my ticket last friday :)

Number 1271. Pretty good considering i had uni that morning.

And mine was 112$. I cant wait, I've put it in a special container with my passport and a vintage 5 dollar note (my emergency money).

Absolute bullshit. They're going to get so many fence jumpers this year. Won't be surprised if there's razor wire or something.
 
^^ Agreed on the thoughts stated above re: bullshit etc...gonna go in the ballots for friends who missed out on sydney tix, i have melbs already.

Still lookin forward to it tho :)
