I've seen that movie at least two or three times and never noticed any NOFX or Rancid in the movie. Or Bad Religion. I'll have to watch it again I guess. :)

hmmm - some really good ones have been mentioned but how can you forget Clueless? the movie is funny kind of but the soundtrack is actually pretty damn good

lock, stock and two smoking barrels has a great soundtrack.

alasdair
which reminds me, as does snatch. and trainspotting.

one of them has iggy pop's "i wanna be your dog" which makes me looove it.

others, that i believe have been mentioned, but deserve to be noted again:
garden state (!!!!!)
pulp fiction
belly (it wins from the opening track)
romeo & juliet

additions:
vanilla sky
the life aquatic
did someone mention the crow?
i know what you did last summer (it has hooverphonic on it!)
scream (red right hand... duh)

and.. i know its sort of off topic... but the last scene in the movie "veronica guerin"... there is a song by massive attack playing that made me want to buy the movie. its not on the soundtrack, unfortunately, but fit the particular scene SO WELL. (for those keeping score at home, the song was blue lines /// safe from harm)

2001: A Space Odyssey
The Big Lebowski
The Royal Tenenbaums
O Brother, Where Art Thou?
The Star Wars films (especially The Empire Strikes Back)
Superman
For All Mankind
The Last Temptation of Christ

Thats surprising.

That was the first thing I noticed. Remember when Flea and Anthony Kiedis from Red Hot Chili peppers are driving in their bronco? They were playing warm by NOFX in their stereo. There's some other parts in the movie where they play some of the other tracks from the soundtrack but I can't remember them right now.

Car Wash - my all time favorite!
The Color Purple
Saturday Night Live
Boogie Nights
Breakfast At Tiffany's
Zoolander
American Graffiti
The Graduate
The Wall
Purple Rain
Easy Rider
The Big Chill
Rocky Horror Picture Show

that's all i can think of for now...

My soundtrack of the week is, oddly enough, the Spun soundtrack. You can't go wrong with acoustic versions of "Number of the Beast" by Iron Maiden and "Love To Love" by UFO. Weird, but cool!

28 Days Later
Saturday Night Fever
Love song for Bobby Long
REPO MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ghost Dog
