Good call on The Big Chill- that is a quality soundtrack.

as far as hip hop, no soundtrack was better than Belly all the way through.

Above The RIm was good, but had some really terrible songs on it.

not sure if anyone has mentioned BLADE either........
Who ever posted Higher learning is spot on as well........ when RATM's YEAR OF THE BOOMERANG comes on near the end it rocks!

FIGHT CLUB!!!

The Chemical Brothers (under Dust Bros. former name) did the entire soundtrack/score for fight club and it fucken ruled up on screen, n i bought it when i found it for like $15 at myer ages ago, and without the movie around its great as ambient trip-scene songs, my lingo isnt good atm but yknow, they mention them on the DVD commentary, with a joke from brad pitt bout 'em bein smashed hah.

^ SLC Punk! soundtrack is awesome...

I'm quite partial to the Team America sound track at the moment. It cracks me up...

It has extended versions of some of the songs in the movie....

actually, it was the real Dust Brothers that did the album. they have also produced Beck, the Beastie Boys, and White Zombie. the Chemical Brothers had nothing to do with the soundtrack but did indeed have to drop their old name which also happened to be the Dust Brothers.
