Besides the actual drug...what do you enjoy about the drug game?

The music and the people.
I find that many drug users are open minded. I grew up in a small town (imagine: only white people, only Christians, only straight people, and a lot of farms lol). Needless to say, drugs were bad. So were a lot of other things. Sex was bad. Gay people were bad. All that stuff. Lots of judgmental stuff going on there.
After I moved out (to the big city) and started experimenting with drugs, I found than many (not all) drug users are really open to these kinds of things.
I would miss those people. I would miss how NICE people are sometimes (especially on MDMA).
I remember my second time on MDMA (first time at this club), I was feeling soo sick, just sitting outside with my boyfriend feeling so terrible. Some nice guy just bought me a water bottle. One of my first impressions of people on drugs and that's just how I like to think of them as :p :)

Oh yeah, and I love the feel of sniffing things. lol
 
Of course I love the feeling of scoring. Even with the long drive to get heroin, I like the drive home. i hate the drive there, and hate copping cuz I always am worried ofcourse about the cops. On the way home I feel so good cuz I got a pocket full of drugs. The drive seems quick and I'm always in a good mood.

I also am obsessed with any sort of preparation or procedures involved in ingesting drugs. I know alot of people who hate rolling blunts or js, getting perfect lines made, prepping multiple syringes before using the first (one so I can go one after the other), extracting DMT, etc.

I love drugs, but I have a love hate relationship about the culture. Of course I hate any of the violence or criminal activity with drugs, but the drug friends I have are wonderful people and the drug culture we have is awesome.

I like the thought of getting a drug that has been smuggled through various countries and finally states, before arriving at its destination where it is then cut and bagged for distribution. I also like taking the ride with some friends to go cop since we are all on the same page.

You can be more honest with another drug user you barely know then you can with a friend who doesn't use. Even though they're your friend you can't just start talking about shooting heroin or something without making them feel uncomfortable.

Agreed. I also like seeing other people from all walks of life that are doing the same thing that I am doing, many of which are living double lives just like me.

Me too!

I like learning the legitimacy of "friends." Drugs and money go hand in hand and oftentimes, you can tell how trustworthy a person is based on how their drug usage affects their treatment of you. I have ended several friendships because I had to quit smoking weed. Beyond that, I realized they wanted to do nothing besides smoke weed and it definitely separated me from them when I was no longer going with them to score bud, buying new pieces, shit like that.

One thing I like is that the game has connected me to some really forward thinking, really cool people-people I'd chill with whether or not we used drugs.
 
I would have to say the inevitable Hardcore hot sex that usually follows Hardcore Drug-Use.
 
I always loved hanging out on the corner with my "friends", drinking beers and with a north face jacket full of dope. Nowadays i just do it to support my habit *snip*

I love taking psychadelics and the few moments before knowing you are about to descend into a sea of utter insanity, voluntarily with your mates

And MDMA, for the sheer atmosphere of the nights you have on it, knowing that everyone has had to hunt down the stuff and is putting their life and liberty on the line in some cases for an utterly brilliant night.
 
It's going to sound really stupid, but, it just feels to me like an exclusive club; the group of friends that I hang out with are, for the most part, professional people with that very work-hard-play-hard mentality. It's like we go to work (admittedly I myself am not yet a professional in my field, but close!) and then, at the end of the day, we pick up some dope, head home, throw on a movie and unwind. And who knows about our little after-work get-togethers? Not very many... and so that's why I say it's kind of like being part of an exclusive club.

And I feel like because it's heroin, it's even more exciting and even more exclusive. Hell, anyone can go and pick up a bag of weed, and, in my state, possessing some small amount of weed isn't even much of a crime at all anymore; you get a ticket, pay a fine, and that's it. But bitch, this is heroin, and you need to work a little harder in order to meet the right people, meet solid connects, dealers and such. At least, that seems to be the way of it around here in my experience. So, it's sort of a good feeling to know dope dealers with good product who are reliable and who don't fuck around. It's like you have access to something that not everyone has access to, and that's kind of neat.

Thats how I felt in late 07 all the way through 08. I got deep into the psychedelic scene, was brought into the inner circle, and met the biggest psych dealers in my city (along with a few surrounding areas). Being able to see and touch all the LSD, 2C-B, Ketamine, PCP, and occasionally Mushrooms flowing into the city was just an insane feeling.

I really want to be able to know dealers, cause I get everything through my friends, who won't introduce me to their connects :( It's really frustrating.

Totally. Plus I love the thrill of the chase. Who's got it? Where do I have to go to find it? What I don't like is the price of gas being factored into the price of my drugs. If I had more money I'd buy in quantity but then I'd either a) do it all at once or b) spend even MORE.
 
i love partying, meeting new people and seeing the different types of people in the game. everyone comes from diff places but the drugs really bring everyone together and it's legit

Hey thanks everyone! There are a lot of well thought out responses.

I am a big fan of just having that something to look forward too like some of you have mentioned. Like no matter what you have to do that day...just knowing that you have the money and will be obtaining your doc soon is a high in itself.

My favorite is when i have to work in the morning and have not had anytime to cop yet. Then as it gets closer and closer for my time to leave the excitement builds. So yeah just having something to look forward to is nice.

this. lol i know exactly how you feel. even if all i have is a roach or a king can im still stoked as fuck when its close to quitting time and i know that shits at home waiting for me
 
The sense of adventure...and meeting the occasional gorgeous guy that's not too fucked up.
 
For me, everything about it is alluring and fun. Everything feels like an exclusive ritual, fun and lifechanging.
