Benzo Discussion Vol. 3 (I think? Last night's a blur..)

Xanax - Alprazolam = short acting benzo which is why people like it for panic attacks I think, comes on quick and hard but does last to long. But it's addiction potential is generally considered to be higher, I assume due to the short effects and the likelihood of re dosing. I've heard it called the crack of benzos. Personally I wasn't that blown away by it, but then I have a horrible benzo tolerance.
In the US they still heavily prescribe benzos to all and sundry in the same way we hand out SSRIs, in the UK your lucky if you can get a benzo script for more than a few weeks and if you have spilled any kind of addiction issue probably not at all.
Addiction and tolerance aside, if you can really do that, benzos are, without doubt great for anxiety and panic attacks in almost all sufferers and if used only occasionally can be a very effective tool. But the danger of becoming addicted is quite high and if you use them daily for more than a few weeks it's a given. I do think though that doctors should use a bit more common sense, my father in law suffers from anxiety and panic attacks and diaz really helped him after I basically told him to ask for some, but they cut him off after 2 weeks. He would never take them in any other way than the doctor prescribed so if they had said say twice a weeks max or you need to come back and see us straight away he would have done and I think he would be much better today if that had been done, instead they give him Amitriptyline which doesn't seem to be helping at all.

These are stamped with STADA on them. Best avoided I guess if you can get other makes.

Yeah, we actually do have alprazolam scripted here in the U.K afaik.
As for the "onex" xanax/alprazolam bars my first & last experience with that benzo was with onex bars; i had about 5 & tried 1 or two here & there over the next week & got next to nothing from them, felt like placebo- I did get a slight effect but it was nothing like i expected what with the whole 'xanax is like a brick in the face' type stories.
These days I dont really get much recreation out of benzos. I mean, last night i took 10mg of temazepam to help sleep & it worked well, but i woke up 2 hours later & took the other half of the 20 mg pill & smoked a roll up while it kicked in & when i got back in bed i felt really peaceful, so that was a pleasure i suppose. Also earlier i took 10 mg temaz after i skulled 35 mg methadone (held half my juice in my mouth earlier at the clinic so i can drink the rest later ; ) & it was a little noddy.
As for diazepam i get no recreational effect from these them days, unless combined with alcohol, but they work fine for stress/anxiety. Grrreeat for hangovers of course that's when i dose high on diazepam.
As for sleep with valium i dont like to exceed 5 mg these days maaybe 10 if i have enough since i only get the 2mg pills scripted now. That said i actually do have a high tolerance to diazepam - i could easily take 30mg & not feel anything but muscle relaxation, but i refuse to start taking doses above 30/40 mg whatsoever as i wish for doses like 5/10mg to remain effective. When i'm like 60+ i dont care i'm gonna get like a tub of oxazepam (the best benzo for the elderly) & pop like 90 mg every night! lol

had some excellent roche stamped proper tasting blues in manchester recently, chewed good, seemed to be a lot around as well

I don't disbelieve you in the least, I think someone else said the same recently, but why would anyone press pills with Roche on them, I'd avoid them like the fekin plague as I've seen and been burned with so many fakes or badly under dosed ones.
You got to think they must be coming from Lahore, may be someone over there has wised up and decided to start pressing something decent for a bit to get some kind of reputation back but with Roche not manufacturing anymore it does seem odd, you would have though blanks would be a better bet from a sales point of view.

I quite like vals, but I always feel so groggy the next day and I become so off balance. Broken a lot of things.

currently pakistani mogadons, sure they are underdosed but 10mg doing the trick right now. focussing hard on typing properly, always a good sign
don't like the hang over or heaviness really but i need to sleep.

With your tolerance... That sounds a bit funny to me.
Maybe my tolerance is still a bit too beyond normal to judge, but 10mg of nitrazepam (pharmaceutical grade... not paki...) seems a very low dose considering your tolerance.

Yeah this is true. I doubt I'd feel 10mg diazepam much. But nitrazepam heaviness etc seems stronger than the benzo equivalency chart suggests. Maybe they are overdosed then who knows.. they didn't do the trick anyway, 4 hrs sleep

Excuse me while I light my spliff, but Roche STILL makes Valium, in blister packs. At least in France, so even if it's not made in England anymore, it's so much everywhere that it could well cross the Channel en masse.

I find when it comes to benzos and sleep, valium was really the only good one for it due to it's long duration. I found Xanax is a bit dodgy, you need to try and get sleep quickly after dosing and if you miss that point you will struggle afterwards. If you do get knocked out by the Xanax I wouldn't get as good and definitely not as long a sleep as valium. But with that you get grogginess the next day. This Nitrazepam sounds interesting though! These sort've benzos never appear round here, it's all valium and xanax (the odd time, most people wouldn't even know what the stuff was!) which is why it's basically all I can comment on. Had Temazapam a few times but it was straight off the script. That stuff went great with a few ciders, zombied!
Nitrazepam is shit for everything except sleep.. and it didn't work for me the other night ha but I didn't have much. It's worked before. Long duration is good for sleep but nitraz gives you a hangover the next day like no other benzo.. full on grogginess. I think I have returned to diazepam being my favourite. Got some Roche pakistani tings at the mo and they are better than most I've had lately.. blisterpacked, little underdosed but far better than a lot of the stuff doing the rounds in my circle..

Just about everything in here is subjective and whoever thinks that benzo equivalancey charts are anything near correct really needs help no offence like it's a fact that those charts are bollox as they don't take in to account many factors .

Roche do indeed still make valium. All over Europe apparently. They do not make it in Pakistan though, which is where pretty much everyone's black-market Roche blues tend to claim to be from.
