Basic HEROIN Culture Questions

Baltimore:
High Quality "Raw": Glass capsules with soft plastic cap, usually orange or red-orange, but is sometimes black, purple, or another color. Mostly orange though.
Low Quality "Scramble": Gel-capsules, pretty big ones though. Could melt in your mouf.

Dealers will differentiate between raw and scramble, raw is for snorting and scramble to shoot since it's cut to shit with quinine.

DC: Small wax ziplock bags.

Richmond, VA: You ask for "Train" when you pull up. The packages are called 'eggs' sometimes, they are basically the ends of plastic sandwhich bags filled with a small amount of dope, enough to fit like [-----] and then wrapped tight, and then the loose end is cut off.

The every odd shitty dealer will sometimes put it in a lottery paper though.

Most of the Northeast does NOT go with stampbags, just a couple of the real big cities do in the North.

Lolque TR? All of conneticut, jersey, NY, etc they all be gettin those stamps. AFAIK mass does too and new england got the jacked up price jersey stamps but from wat ive seen in my own travels n talkin to my fellow dope feens, the stamps is the main name of the game in the NE. It aint "just a couple of the real big cities." I can name you 20 cities off the top of my head right now large and small that have....Stamp bags! u guessed it!

Want me to back that up or is it gonna bore everybody else lol.

Idk where you are gettin this information from or if you just tryna post some kind of contradictory shit or wat, but on the real, that aint correct. I wouldnt consider virginia or DC to be the northeast, so while bmore is a good exception that your 'rule' applies to, in general, up in the north east YES it is a majority of stamp bags.

I call my hook up and I'm all like "Yo bro, you got any chocolate cheesecake, youknowwhatI'msayin?"
And he'd be like "yeah dawg, how many slices (.1 gram) you need, youknowwhatI'msaying?"

So it usually comes on a plate (tiny ziplock baggy) with a fork (dealers stamp).

YouknowwhatI'msayin

just curious... if a middle aged white guy who didn't exactly look like a bro from the hood went in and tried to score.... would they think I was a cop and fill me full of holes? Or would they just rob me? Or would they give me what I wanted and hope I'd end up a steady customer? I grew up in a city where we did lots of weed, coke, acid, shrooms... but I only saw H once and the guy was scary.

^^thats a tough one. i would think they would think you were a cop maybe, and (possibly) harass you and not sell you shit, maybe rob you, or just sell it to you. if someone would offer to sell you something, i would ask for a number and hope that its good shit.

its hard to say. i dont think they would shoot you though.

i would get familiar w/ this thread: Safely obtaining drugs in a dangerous area. hope this helps man. good luck if you decide to venture out.

^ya thats a pretty good thread.

Dont go with more money than you intend on spending, and if you do, make sure to hide that shit really well. Also look the part. You can tell the ppl who have no business in the hood coppin dope. Around here its white kids lol.

I don't know about your area, but in Chicago, I used the get the "are you the po-po?" all the time when I went to new tips. It was usually when I wasn't dressed the part of junkie (looked presentable for normal society) and driving by myself in my 07 Nissan Versa. Plus, I'm a tiny white chick and you don't see a lot of chicks go down by themselves in this area.

I once had a guy IN my car about to hand me the dope as he told me he wanted me to hit it in front of him to make sure I wasn't a cop. I was already high at the time and wasn't going to waste a bag when I was only getting 3 or 4 so I was like, If I was, I'd be locking the doors or something by now. He said Alright and got out.

I've never once not been served though. Usually all it takes to convince them is to roll my eyes and say no. haha

Oh, and I highly doubt they would shoot you because 1) if you end up being for real, they just lost business and committed a murder 2) if you really were a cop, they just shot a COP which is a lot worse than the charges they would get. I guess they don't always think that way, but over 99% chance they won't shoot you.

Yeah, you won't get shot. When i first started buying dope many years ago, all the new dealers ALWAYS thought I was a cop. Back then I really did look like a cop. They would just ignore me and leave the area. If you ask them for dope they'd either not answer you or be like nah, what u talkin about?

If you'd try to cop, the worst thing that would happen to you most likely is you'd be sold beat shit, be shorted on the count, or you'd ask a junkie or someone who'd say, "yeah gimme the money and wait across the street" then you'd never see them or your cash again.

Dude, nobody gets fucking shot from just DRIVIN thru the hood. Im sorry if im comin off like a dick, but seriously, where the fuck do people get these ideas from? Who put it in your head that peeps who live in the ghetto just randomly shoot on sight as soon as a outsider appears? here is rancom, fluke, rare occurences of this but the huge majority of people shot in the hood is people FROM the hood and IN the hood that stay there and get involved in shit. aint no reason to just shoot somebody for nothing, nobody wanna get lockd up 25 to L just to bust off on some stranger with no motive. people might talk shit to you they might try and rob you if you look and act like a mark goin in there with a ton of money and jewlery on you or watever, they might try n jack your car if you REALLLLY seem like a easy target but that is rare, but nobodys gonna fuckin shoot you. wat the hell reason would anybody have to do that? This is wat i dont get when people ask these kind of questions, its like wat fuckin reason on this earth could somebody that you dont know possibly have to want to shoot you when you are just drivin along with your windows rolled up ignorin anbody else. Even when you go out the car and try and do bizness, once they see you are money then they make sure that people dont be fuckin with you. sure some people will set you up but any real biznessman makes sure that people aint fuckin with his customers. you will be looked out for. money is money yo. the more you look like a cop the harder it is to cop . if you are older dont dress all nice but dont try and dress 'cool' or watever lol. lots of contractors do dope. you see their trucks with the ladders an buckets n extension cords n sheetrock n shit in the back, all parked lined up on the side street waitin to get served. so if you look like that youre more likely to get served as wel. I want to go smoke a cigarette now so i am done postin for now but maybe i will come back later and give some more advice. :)

Call & meet vs open air street/projects?

Curious to hear whether most people call ahead to meet their dude or if they drive in "cold" and cop off whomever is at the "spot"?

When I started in the mid 90s, Newark was chock full of open-air drug markets. Once the dealers knew you, they would literally attack your car before you could even stop. You'd have 4-6 or more guys run to your window and ask you what you want. That was also before everyone in the world carried a cellphone.

Nowadays, in Newark/Irv anyway, there aren't as many dealers just hangin out in the open. Don't get me wrong there's still mad dudes out there doing their thing just a big decrease from the scene in the 90s. Part of it is the increased heat from the boys in blue but the advent of cellphones also plays a major role. Dudes are quick to hand off their #s where they used to hesitate. Guess they feel its aight since most be changin their #s every few weeks/months anyway it seems.

Wonderin' how it works in other cities and if my other Newark BL'ers see the samething I do.

I usually call ahead just because it's nice to know that someone will be there for sure and usually that means it'll be quicker.

But I've not had a phone with me or had no one answer and just gone down to cop off the street. It definitely can take awhile (especially in winter in Chicago) but you'll get hooked up eventually.

Kinda tough on me, aren't ya? I asked if I went in trying to cop, not just if I drove thru, would I get shot or assaulted or sold to. I was jus trying to get your sense of how strangers are treated by the kind of dealers I hear you talkin bout. I can tell you nobody ever sold me shit unless they knew me or somebody they knew was vouchin for me. So some white guy askin for dope that they think is a cop or an informant just might get his ass kicked or shot! I dunno! That's why I wuz askin. It don't seem too far out to me. sorry!

Kinda depends. I used to drive in "cold" before i had any numbers then once i got a number from a good business man I was always calling. Its nice to know if the boys in blue are around before you go, to not have to wait have everything all packaged up, and not worry about 6 guys mobbing your car. It was nice like that for a while cause the guy stayed around the spot then he started wanting me to pick him up from his house drive him to the spot and drive him home which is to much work when you just want some dope quickly. He didnt keep any dope on him at his house and i guess him and a few others just deal there because of the safety of the location. So i started just going and copping off of whoever was out which has worked out in my favor, getting better stuff and a new number and also worked out shitty getting shorted hard. One day i drove up in there and the only person out was my old dude and i stupidly decided to cop from him, he went inside the building to his stash knocked a whole in the wall and gave me a fat bag of drywall :(

stupid decision. its hard when your desperate or sick but sometimes you gotta know when to walk away...

im white with a southern accent and i couldnt tell ya how many times i was told i was a cop, i usually ended up getting the dope though, almost robbed in perth amboy nj not even trying to cop yet jus sitting on a park bench, and im 6' 195lbs the 2 that tried to rob me was lucky to be 5'6 and 140lbs so its not the easiest thing to do but usually if you can find a "good" spot there just wanting the money and if theres alot of shootings and robberys it messes with there cash so they dont want it either

This I would venture to say is very true. The crime and violence associated with strong arming isn't based on clientele, but on them losing money to others infringing on their business or others stealing from them. It's a business.

If we're talking about open air markets, you should be alright. Those dealers don't know most of their customers anyway. Typically just being white and walking around dealers is all that's needed to get solicited. Just act and look like you've done it a million times before. You may not believe it, but [the right amount] confidence goes a long way when copping.

Anyway, I just wanted to reply to the bundle size talk from the stamp thread. Yeah, bundles are 13 in Philly, and they're 10 in NJ/NY. Why? Tradition and location(geographic). I don't know when the 13(and up) bundle tradition started, but it was in place at least 10 years ago. It became popular and it's now the expected standard. Most of the users are local, and if they're buying bundles, they're planning everything around the 13+ count and discount associated with it.
As for location, well they're run by different people. Yeah, wholesalers may be shared, but it's extremely rare to see street level packages in different states. (Although it's not unprecedented, think Camden and Philly or Philly and other minor PA cities.) So, the markets developed differently... Call it dope market evolution if you want:D . Same reason why Baltimore has raw and scramble and why you get dope in foil/paper/lottery tickets in Chicago.

On the subject of bundles...does anyone else anywhere call them jabs?

I have no idea where that came from or why they are called that, but that is what the pack is called by most of my dealers here in Chicago.
