But people do so try to fit the "monogamous life long marriage" mold. Personally I don't think that humans are monogamous animals so trying to fit that mold seems a little silly to me, but whatever. I'm from a different generation with different values and even among my generation I'm fairly radical.

That's true I suppose.

That is one big reason why I wish prostitution would become legal everywhere, then regulations could be set up like in the porn industry, where the actors and actresses are required to be tested regularly. I was under the impression that most respectable escort agencies required this from their employees, but I could be wrong.

The STD issue is actually the only problem I have with prostitution, and if it weren't for that then I wouldn't shun the idea of paying money for sex even though I can easily get it for free. It's less hassle (though more expensive), and kind of exciting. I have actually fantasised a lot about hiring a hot female escort for a threesome with a partner. But, sometimes a fantasy is best when it remains just that...

OK, this one is about to run its course. The questions xtcgrlatl is getting are getting redundant. Flames are flying. Not the environment we want in SLR.

This thread got a lot of people really riled up, myself included. I stick by my view that anyone who does not get regularly tested when they have multiple partners is a potential safety hazard, and in whatever business someone is in, safety first.

Over 80% of your so called clientel as you put it, that get arrested in sting operations from escorts and "street walkers" are in a married relationship.

And nothing is to say a human cant be monogamous if he so chooses to, and you are right nothing is to say we should be. But thats where knowing about yourself and being yourself come into play. If you dont think you can be monog then dont marry or have an open relationship.

That people should be in a healthy relationship where they are open and honest with their partners. And if they arent in a healthy realtionship, then they are leading an unhealthy life and should fix it by means other than a quick fix (drugs or escorts)

I suppose degrees of it could, but I place my pride in other things. Not that it doesn't feel nice to have people fawning over you and telling you how hot you are but that's mostly luck of the genetic draw. I've had a high opinion of myself for longer then I've been escorting :)

You don't think that you might be just a teensy bit off to suggest that just because there are other escorts out there that it's still not fairly outside the norm of how people live?Having around 700 as your tally of sex partners is only maybe a little bit stigmatized but not really all that crazy?

Think about it, even here on relatively open minded bluelight I've got people crawling out of the woodwork to insult me and this is a drug forum. I mean when you've got some heavy duty druggies coming on a thread to tell you that the world hates you that says just a little something about how far outside the norm your lifestyle really is.

Having seen the piss and venom and vitriol hurled my way by a few people who are hardly in a position to judge my personal merit...lets imagine if this wasn't bluelight. Imagine I was completely open with everyone around me about what I did out in the real world. Taking that into account I think that puts me in a position of "fairly radical".

this is a harm reduction website and here in SLR we promote people practicing safe sex and healhy relations.
