Anyone seen methamphetamine in the UK/Europe?

As noted above, it's not smokable and it's too wet and sticky to be practical to snort, although some people leave it to dry out and try to snort it.

So I guess the paste is powder that hasn't had the solvent completely evaporated off as opposed to the oil base that hasn't been completely crystallized
because insufficient acid was added. Is this reasoning on the right track?
 
Amphetamine hydrochloride apparently absorbs so much water from the atmosphere that it's enough for uit to dissolve - not good if the drug is being sold in wraps or any type of non-waterproof container - hence you only see the sulphate salt produced illicitly. The rang of salts that have been used medicinally though is much, much larger; as well as those mentioned, I believe the tartrate salt has been used medicinally.

The HCl component of smoked methamphetamine hydrochloride doesn't cause the sort of damage one might exoect as when it cools down, any gaseous /hCl combines with methamphetamine vapour reforming methamphetamine hydrochloride. The damage from smoking it is mainly due to the inhalation or hot gases & the physiological effects of ingested amphetamines (of which methamphetamine is the daddy! =D)
 
Some guys I used to know well but haven't crossed paths with for a few years used to have it occasionally. They used to buy both that and their coke from two or three Polish guys they hung about with. This was in Edinburgh, say 2006/7.
 
I'm sure most UK pill poppers have had a bit of meth, why put normal amphetamine into pills when meth is cheaper, easier to make and probably gets the user more drilled
 
^ No labtests confirming that at all. I very much doubt it. Its rare in the uk... only really smaller scale production going on. Nothing like the amount of sulph..

I'd like to try both crack and meth, usually enjoy rushy euphoric stims. Just not sure I'd trust myself to not like it too much. :\
 
ah fair do's.. just would have assumed its something that would get put in a lot of pills, but I guess sulph is a lot more popular and prevalent in Europe so we don't get methy pills here.. remember someone mentioning a while back that meth is coming into the UK more recently, through the people who sell crack
 
I wasn't amazingly bowled away by meth. Stimulants aren't exactly my thing though. The rushes from smoking are pretty great but the high wasn't my thing without taking other things. Better than amphet though if you're into that sort of thing. As for the comparison with mephedrone... Well, I'm not a big fan of that either, but the high of meph was a bit more interesting (I guess it's that hint of MDMAness)
 
Englands to small . In america and canada its made in the middle of nowhere where people cant find them!. In the uk and europe u cant get these places .

Just a reminder, but the uk does not equal England; in case you forget, there's wales, scotland & n. ireland and there's plenty of out of the way places in those three countries for such things (One of the worlds biggest acid labs - the one of operation Julie fame - run by Kemp was situated in Wales. They're a lot harder to hide than a meth lab)

Because the other components needed to synth meth are watched much more closely (eg methylamine) because it's also used for making MDMA or they stand out like a sore thumb (eg red phosphorus) on a chemical inventory. There are ways to do it using a synthesis that doesn't use red phosphorus or methylamine, but it doesn't seem to be very well known, hence most of what's produced is amphetamine (uses ammonia rather than methylamine, which is piss easy to get)

you woud def like crack. next time you get some decent coke wash a little bit up. good coke is to exspensive and rare for it to become a problem at the moment
 
Just to answer the threads original question, in my experience, yes, Meth is in London. Maybe not as easy to get hold of as other recreationals, but I had some at Christmas. Smoked some crystal....'twas lovely.

methamphetamine and mephedrone are not very related at all

as far as rush goes I's say crack is probably more intense (only ever sniffed methamphetamine though) but the methamphetamine high is more enjoyable and lasts longer than 5 minutes.
 
i read some comments ppl where typing about australias meth usage, heres some info to help
meth use has been in australia since the early 80s. it was on tv here in sydney the other night saying that bikie gangs working with US gangs starting cooking meth in australia in 1980/81. virtually all 'speed' in australia is meth, amp is almost unheard of in australia. meth here comes in crystal form hre and the most common form is meth in a paste form known as 'base' one type is smoked the other is snorted or consumed orally. meth is used by many aussies in every class, unlike how it is portrayed in the us as mainly the poorer class. it is the second most used drug in australia. because meth has been in australia for 20+ years i spose it made it alot harder for cocaine to take hold here when a stronger, cheaper drug was already popular.
