Any tips to get rid of this hemmoroid?

you shoudn't have to starve yourself , take a shit ton of immodium AD if you feel that will help...

No! Don't take Imodium - it will constipate you.
Then you will strain trying to pass that bowel movement and make things worse.

There is a lot of conflicting information here - but you need to find a healthy balance in terms of diet, exercise etc.
Not taking a crap (or taking measures to attempt to avoid passing solids) is highly likely to backfire.
Straining to take a crap will cause or exacerbate haemorrhoids.

Strain can be caused by constipation, diarrhoea as well as holding off eliminating urine/faeces.
Your best option is a healthy balance. You need to shit - it removes toxins from your body.
You need to eat - for nourishment. There is no getting around this!

A diet rich in natural fibre (fresh fruit, and vegetables; certain cereals and grains are all good sources of nutrient and fibre) and crucially - hydration.
Some people take the (sound) advice of increasing their dietary fibre, without also increasing their fluid intake.

This can have the opposite of the desired effect - hard, dry bowel movements that are rough (literally) on your body as you eliminate them.
Drink more water, and try to eat healthy foods with naturally occurring fibre (personally I think this is better than supplements or special additives, except perhaps stool softener, which I've not had experience with).
Fruit is good - lots of fruit is high in fibre, water and good nutrients. Plus most people don't find good fruit a chore to eat, depending on taste.
But yes - exercise, diet, hydration.
Definitely do not try to avoid taking a dump - and stay the hell away from opiates/opioids (including "a shit ton of loperamide" FFS!!!)

Frankly, if you've been suffering this for such a long time, it's probably wise to get it checked out by a doctor.
I don't know what sort of complications such a thing could have, but there may be a simple solution (such as a short course of cortisone ointment, perhaps) or more to the cause than you realise.
Sure sounds like a long time to put up with such discomfort. Ouch.
Don't be ashamed; unless there are some kind of extenuating circumstances, i would strongly recommend you get it checked out by a doctor.

^cheers, ye my mom actually offered me some steroid cream which she said her doc gave to her which was still unopened as she didnt use it but i refused it at the time :P. as i said i wanted to ;do it naturally'

maybe ill give it a try in a week or so if the anusol im trying again isnt helping by then.

i have all my other bases covered from what you say above, walk a cpl miles a day round the city, excellent diet, love my fruit! take fibre supplement every morning, the only thing missing form the list is drinking alot of water, i piss alot naturally already (im tlkaing once every 30 mins! -ive asked the doc about this before and he said i seem to be a nervous perosn and in constant fight or flight mode, i cant really argue with that) so ive avoided that.

^ seriously - fibre absorbs water, so if you don't compensate by increasing your liquid intake, it as going to cause you problems.
I would definitely say if you're not drinking extra water, the (increased) fibre may actually be doing you more harm than if you stuck to your standard diet.
Such is the dietary advice I've read regarding fibre, anyhow.
Every body has different responses to these things...but generally, fibre without sufficient hydration will cause constipation!

ye i know but im not that stupid that i dont notice if im taking more fibre and its making it worse, i have been trying to get the perfect stool consistency for a while now. i find if i take too much fibre then that also gives me the shits and sets my ring on fire!

so ive been trying to get it just right. i wasnt measuring my dose of fibre before and altho, just eyeballing, it may seem anal (yeye :P) im now using a digital scale to try and find the ideal daily dosage for that perfect spongy soft poop.

Yeah, sorry if that came off as patronising - just with the range of advice here (and the misconception and differing opinions that seem to abound with dietary matters) I wanted to make sure you weren't making things worse for yourself.
I hope you get it sorted soon. Sounds very unpleasant.
Another thing that may contribute is blood pressure - have you had that checked recently?

ye thanks for looking out wasnt throwing it back in your face :)

no i havent had anyhting checked for years tbh, neglected my mental and general health for a while now just becoming a workaholic and hoping that thing 'sort themselves out' on their own.

Havent had any physical health complaints other than the 'roid (mentally i havent been stable at all -crippling depression- but i was just ignoring that) hence why i havent bothered to see a doc.

Should i ask for a checkup? What do they do? cant even remember what the protocol is.

A checkup is a good idea. They usually check your BP, respiration, heart rate, eyes, ears, mouth and maybe your genitals. Don't forget to mention the hemorrhoid so that they check your anus. It may be embarrassing but it has to be done.

^ this.

If you just tell the doc that you would like a check-up (and specifically mention the haemorrhoid situation) you might actually find a solution and some relief after all this time.
Sorry to hear about the depression - sometimes taking control and trying to work on some of the finer elements of health + happiness can lead to a better sense of empowerment and help you tackle some of the bigger things, like depression.
All the best, keep at it - i hope you feel better soon.

I have anal fissures and although different, the result is the same; painful bowel movements kind of like shitting razor blades. I althought it was a good idea to let the area heal and didn't go to the toilet for a day or two...the result was horrible constipation which ripped another anal fissure! So do NOT attempt to hold back on bowel movements! Just eat a lot of fruit and fibre based foods, nd drink a lot of water and I mean A LOT OF WATER (3L plus). Also take an osmotic laxative, like lactulose, or movicol that helps your shit to retain water, making them super soft and toothpaste like. This should help it heal or at least help you have less painful bowel movments

thanks, havent tried osmotic laxatives yet, but dont they all just contain psyllium husks as the active ingredient? cos that holds water like a mofo and i take pure milled husks every day anyway, so would there be any point getting a seperate omsotic?

ah i see lactulose is something seperate, guess ill try it, thanks.

Have you tried docusate(colace) ? It seems to be the best choice for people with hemorrhoids. There's also glycerin (suppositories) which I have used many times in the past for immediate relief.

if i stat pissing loads more then that means i have reached saturation point with the water and the body is getting rid of excess right? cos i tried to increase water intake today and i just ended up pissing all day.

I find when I take psylium husks that my bowels don't seem to contract as much.

Is there something I can take regulalry that encourages it? I know theres OTC stimulants etc but they arent good for regular use are they so is tehre anything that i could use regualrly like some food that is harmless that i can take every day to encourage contraction? Not alot so i shit myself when im out and about :D but like to encourage gentle contraction.

Hmm I recall ginger is spose to do that right? Anything else?

I took psyllium husks until I read that they can make constipation worse since I take methadone. Never knew that. I was also on lactulose but the size of my shits was huge, so the doc switched me to polyethylene glycol and ever since my shits have been soft and normal size, so I don't have to sit there squeezing the huge turds out and block the toilet in the process.

I've had situations where I've blocked the toilet at a friends house with shit and toilet paper. There once was no toilet brush or pluger so I had to use my bare hand. Anyway I tried to use the weight of the water to force it through but I shit you not, the toilet overflowed and I got shitty water ALL over the place. I had to mop it up with the towels and dump them in the washing machine before anyone knew. Unfortunately I couldn't get the machine to work so I had to leave a mound of shitty towels there for someone to find. I was too embarrassed to admit it so I just pretended like nothing happened and nobody said anything lol. God knows what they thought, they must have thought I had sprayed shit everywhere on purpose or something because it seeped into the hallway and everything. Talk about disasters!

The mirulax seems good in terms of effect, not tried it but on paper, however i dont want to be eating sugar regularly for fear of tooth decay.

Is there any other natural kind of laxative i could take on a regular without worrying about tooth decay. prune juice would be the same peril.

Flaxseed was good for runny shits, but im paranoid about the cancer links- some say it makes it worse others say it protects it. similar to how imparanoid about ever drinking kav due to rumour mongering aobut liver damage.

Like you say above guy, psyllium husk just seems to back me up and make constipation worse. Its good for bulking up the stool but I think it needs to be in combo with something that will soften them/make them wetter.

Hmm i was reading today about the distinction between soluble and insoluble fibre and how psyllium being soluble actually SLOWS digestion and BMs.

Bought some wheat bran instead for my insoluble and that definitely seems to have got the digestion moving agian.

I see now a sign of trouble is when I get NO gas its like a wanring sign that things are blocked up in there but the wheat bran seem to have got the cogs working again.
