any news on the new oxycontin?

oxycodone->oxymorphone REAL easy, I'm surprised that someone hasn't taken a few hundred 80s, crushed,cleaned and converted them. Any naloxone (thay may or may not be in them) would be reduced to an ineffective level on a per-dose basis.
 
we lost access to crappy generic forms of the drug not the original.


as long as you have insurance that is a good thing

it does not matter at this point they are not putting naltrexone with oxy ,i dont think they will in the future ,at least i hope they dont

i aam not kidding at all generic oxy is no longer alailable, i think you can still get generic IR oxy but just not the time release forms



once again i think this is good news, why would it be badd????

Well, you would need quite a few to make the excercise worthwile (due to machanical loss) but look how morphine is seperated from the other shit in opium. The same trick will work here dropping out the naloxone/naltrexone.
 
It is good news. Actually there will be generic oxycontin but its the generic produced by purdue and distributed by watson, the agb ones. I also heard that the ones with G164 oe whatever are still gonna be around but im not really sure. I know for a fact that Endo, and Teva are completely gone soon.

You would have to find something that oxycodone is soluble in but naloxone is not or the other way around and then seperate them. Also, if its naloxone you can still crush them and take them orally because its not active orally/sublingually but if you IVed it or even snorted it in large doses it wouldnt work and youd be thrown into w/d.

yes IR generics will still be around.

why would the g164 ones be ok but the others not? i mean i can see the abg's because Purdue makes them, but who's dick did whatever company makes the other kind suck?
 
I'm really not sure, I may be wrong also. All I heard was that Endo and Teva are no longer going to be around. Maybe they didnt mention the other ones because they're not as popular as the endo and tevas.
 
the only extended release that will be available are ones made by purdue this includes the abg all others wont be, i just hope my insurance still covers the name brand

I think its great news. I was just making sure you were sure of it. Now I dont have to worry about getting shitty generics when im purchasing.

I doubt anyone will miss the Endo or especially the Tevas. I told my pharmacist to never fill anything other than the watsons when I pick up my scripts.

however, ALL the narcan balls must not dissolve, or else they would negate the oxy.
might be a way to find the right solvent to just dissolve the oxy balls and not the narcan ones, to do so, you wouldn't need to be able to tell visually.


of course they're not doing the whole narcan thing so its a moot point

Just look at how morphine is seperated from, say, codeine (compare structures). Then look at the structure of oxycodone an naloxone/naltrexone and look at whats the same and whats different. Then look how people in Afganastan seperate out the morphine in a shack using a few buckets, water & concrete & muslin filters... Not HARD!

I'm surprised nobody has said this yet: I wonder how this will affect (street) prices.

Where I'm from, this means prices will rise ~$10 for an 80, because as some vicodin-smoking bro would tell me "these are rare now" or maybe even "the gov't banned these, so I have to charge you more"

But then again, I'm frugal (read: smart) with my drug money so I sure as hell don't buy OC.
 
I expect those fake, fentanyl OC80s will become more common. It was a POOR fake but then the people making them looked like POOR chemists. For godsake, if your going to all that trouble, make something a bit better. Even beta-hydroxy fentanyl (ester) would be much better (stronger, more euphoric, longer lasting). But then those dummies probably wouldn't be able to control the dosing so maybe not.
 
If a antagonist bead ever broke in a legit sever pain patient and they went through the hell of insta withdrawl on top of real pain, on a 400+mg dose. JUST ONCE. the whole thing is blown. You can't have that option with pain medicine.

Hey take this all the time. Here, these are better. You mean you took one and you thought you were going to die? You mean you would rather simply not take anything than live with a possible instawithdrawl hanging over your head?
