Console Animal Crossing: New Horizons

I literally bought a second Nintendo switch for $550 after buying the Lite model for the dual purpose of gaming with friends and secretly (and more importantly) getting a whole new island to play and make on the new console because the game saves there and not on the disk. My life is complete, almost. It will be when I buy another copy of the game (yes I will pay $70) so I can use it to trade turnips when I need to instead of always relying on @mal3volent or my friend from university to help me out (though they are happy to it's easier to trade with myself).

I happen to be able to justify this because my current drug spending is far more expensive than the second console was and the console has already proven to be far more valuable than my weekly session.

It took me a while to understand why Mal put all his houses on the beach at the start when I visited and he cashed me up, because I'm finding landscaping and terraforming a bit of a pain when I have to work around structures and it takes $10,000 and 24 hours to move them and sometimes I cannot move them exactly where I want because it won't allow me to just shift it slightly, it needs to be a certain distance away from itself. I've got some parts of my island I absolutely love and think look amazing and I'm proud of how they've turned out (a little zen garden, a type of relaxation area, and a house which is surrounded by a type of orchard) but there's more places that just don't feel right.

My favourite part of the game is when my fruit are ready again I can go and collect all of them and sell them, then I go and get all my crops and sell the ones I don't need and then make heaps of food out of the rest (carrot, potato, pumpkin - orange, tomato, sugar cane and flour and whole flour can end up netting you $500,000 a batch if you put the time into making the recipes) so I've finally taken off in money making.

I'm always looking for new animal crossing buddies because my turnip prices are atrocious.
 
i don't see why they'd be bad...i'll have to see but i mean there's not much to it - never has been so idk what anybody expects :shrug:

Pretty good! I just finished paying off my house loan again so now I have a second floor on my home. I'm also working on the empty space on my island, I'm turning it into a sort of natural park area with lot's of flowers and trees, and also going to be using a small section for growing crops since the area I placed my home in doesn't have much space and I don't feel like relocating because I like that spot. Even though my island is still a WIP I'm more than happy to have people visit so just let me know if you want to stop by and likewise, I'm more than happy to go out and visit other people's islands so if you wanna have me over I'd be glad to visit!
 
I'm finally really getting serious about my island. I've been perusing Pinterest with my neice and I fall asleep every night to Animal Crossing YouTube content. It's so relaxing.

I have a little islander wishlist, though I'm quite boring. I adore several of the brown Islanders e.g.. Eric, Fauna, Beau and Ellie. There's a bunch more but I honestly haven't spent much time studying them. That's more my nieces department.

Has anyone been spending much time designing homes with the Happy Homes Paradise DLC?? I love that they give you so much to work with and just turn you loose to design. My niece and I have so much fun with that portion of the game.

I love Lottie. I tease my niece by telling her that Lottie is my Animal Crossing girlfriend. She's my little Hottie, Ottie, Lottie. Otters just happen to be probably my fav animal since I was a kid. I made her my Nintendo avatar after my niece kept hacking my account to change it from Samus or whichever character I had at the time to make it whichever character she deemed to be the most ridiculous looking. She hasn't touched it since.

Anyways... I'm too embarrassed to let anyone tour my poor neglected island ATM but that may change soon. I'm open to tour others islands for inspiration though. I've never been to anybody's island except the random stranger islands you can visit in your dreams.

I have so many crops it's so bad. They keep double and triple sprouting and I don't know what to do about it and I have no idea why it happens. Gives me no time to work on my second island.
 
If I loved the original Animal Crossing and Wild World even more but haven't played since then would I like this game? I've been waffling over it for a long time. I'm looking for more things to fill my free time with right now.

well, I loved both of those and I love this one.

cmon, please play! Lol. All these assholes say they are gonna play and never do. Eli is always asleep when I'm awake too. 😠
 
Alright, I got the game and I added you. :)



No flights until tomorrow though.

I paid off my moving fees and got my house upgrade in the works, also bought the full Princess Peach set and saved up half the bells for my first home loan. Pretty good day.
 
looked into AC, but after years in SL, decorating, creating, growing, breeding , for me it didnt seem like my cuppa, but wow, it sure seems its come along way.Not dissing, so dont get yer` pantaloons in a cross.
