All men play on 10 (METAL THREAD 3.0)

I call them the 3 C's: Carcass, Cryptopsy, and Cannibal Corpse. Don't deny they're similar. And they're listed in order of goodness! My word is final.

hah. cryptopsy's style is about as similar to cannibal corpse as oranges are similiar to orangutans. even back in cannibal's prime (dont even say their prime is now, their last 3 releases have been "average" or below in the death metal world), cryptopsy had brought an entirely new flavor to the scene. they have a sound all their own. maybe some are similair, none are the same.

personally, i never relaly liked carcass. yeah they are pretyt badass, but i dunno theres just something about them (or maybe not about them) that ever really really appealed to me. and yes i own the dicog.

surprisingly, my fav carcass album is Swansong. probably most people's least fav.

YOU CROSS MY HEART
YOU CROSS THE LINE!

i get raped a lot for my opinion on carcass. meh.

^ thats sweet. I cant play guitar sitting down for the life of me. I have the same exact guitar as that guy, except in red, and with a different freboard.

lol the new metalocalypse, they eat at "Dimmu Burger" for some burgers lol. There is another episode where they go to Burzum's Burgers, and Marduk Put-put Golf

dude when does metalocalypse come on? i never catch that shit.

oh yeah and corporeal jigsaw quandry is the best song title ever

^ huh?

and metalocalypse is on sundays at 11:45 on cartoon network. but i usually download them and watch it on my own. i thought the first season was over tho cuz they started playing reruns for a week or two but i guess not.

I just wanted to give a big up to the new releases by my favorite hardcore and "sludge-metal" bands (though not strictly metal).

ebola

busted this bad boy out after years upon years with no listen

Sacred Reich | Heal is def an incredible thrash album. Has a total 90s feel to it, for those who shy from 80s thrash. SR may not have had that many outstanding releases, but this album is kickass. Im a big fan of The American Way too, but musically this one blows it away. They always have some pretty decent lyrical content too.

ok seriously tho: Children of Bodom. I like their shit. not so much now, but the first few records were sweet. excellent party music, for those so inclined.

^ i dig hatecrew/deathroll. their last 2 albums, i think i listened to them 1 time each.

Just to be clear, they only put out one album since Hatecrew Death Roll and that is Are You Dead Yet?

oh the 2nd one magically manifested in my head as a result of a weed hangover.

"Follow the Reaper" is a good album too imo.

Man, I've been watching some of the metalocalypse episodes... i'm really kinda disappointed. I hate to say it, but this show sucks. It doesnt really relate to metal much at all, even if it did its not very funny anyway. Since when does a metal band make that much money and become that popular? The band members dont fit together at all. The only notable humour would arise from associations with actual underground metal culture, which arent really present. Apart from random violence sequences and a few obscure metal cameos that would only prompt a chuckle from seasoned metalheads, theres not much redeeming about it. Its just... stupid.

That's the premise: What if an extreme metal band became an international sensation of epic proportions? It is supposed to be a ridiculous concept. They are bigger than the Beatles. funny. ha ha. no?
