I went for a weee, and while I was weeeing, I mentally asked myself how I was feeling and if I could notice anything noteworthy. The answer was a resounding no. But I was smiliing uncontrollably while thinking about the above. This is a bit noteworthy since I'm generally a bit dour and miserable normally.

Smiling is definitely progress.

I was wrong to have any expectations, and for that AL LAD, I truly apologise. I have no right to feel disappointed and I take back my mini rant from another thread ...

My thoughts on AL LAD .... this sums up how I feel mainly:

It's certainly not edgy or pushy like LSD. As I said to GoS, psychedelic candy floss and sometimes I get a bit of a sweet tooth

It's pretty, kinda, but really it's just pretty boring.

Nobody has ever made it to the bottom of a bag of candyfloss. ever. One or two bites and the bag gets dropped on the fayre floor. There's a reason for that.

To me, this is like a psychedelic with all psych taken out of it. All the best bits have been removed. Probably works better with other drugs to interact with imo.

I'll give it another few shots without a doubt. But this is a drug for people with an insane amount of hours to burn imo.

I had 300ug, dosed apart by about 2hours. I shouldve necked em both at the same time in hindsight.

yeah, pretty much. And because the latter is absent the visuals are pretty disconnected to your mind imo, and the link is not there between them, making it even less good. It was pretty emotionally sterile for me anyhow.

I'm really hoping Shambles will come in here after trying it and tell me I've been doing it wrong, because I really wanted to like it.

Have you tried the NBOMEs? I thought they were even more like this, too much in fact. I liked AL-LAD as it still carried that mystical 'lysergimide' feeling but I didn't have to go in head first for a trip and if you're doing it weekly it doesn't seem to have as much impact as LSD. I can see how though those who don't trip regularly would be wanting something like acid though instead with a bit more to gain.

I would have definitely went for a higher dose though, I wouldn't dose below 200ug with this stuff as it is definitely not as potent for me as LSD. Also due to the less intense headspace you need a little more. Add about 50-100ug to your LSD dosage, but keep in mind this stuff is much more likely to be accurately labelled dosage wise (@150ug blotter) than a lot of the mislabelled LSD blotter. Excellent social/outdoor psychedelic, especially at festivals. Find it much easier to maintain a conversation than with acid but I know for some this isn't even a problem with acid in the first place.

At the same time I feel if you push this into high doses the headspace wont grow much deeper either and things will just get more side-effects and confusing. I have went quite highly dosed on this due to alcohol and while the visuals were amazing and mindblowing my head felt extremely clear, beyond the visuals it was similar in comparison to lower doses. As someone who takes psychedelics often this is like gold dust to me, cause I think regular taking can be a bit heavy on the head sometimes, but if you don't you'll likely be wondering why you didn't just take acid.

I've seen bad effects with this drug combined with alcohol and nitrous. The person also complained of a skin tingling sensation when on lower doses of AL-LAD, making me think it may be possible allergic reaction. Avoiding all three for now.

Some people report mindfuck, even "ego-death" at high doses. Really, how many times has this been tried compared to LSD and how valid is people's readiness to pigeon-hole this so quickly? Whether positively or negatively.

At the same time when I'm talking high doses I would say it was probably about 500-700ug at most. People in this thread have went over 1mg. I don't see myself ever repeating the high dose experience or trying to go close/beyond it again, I'd probably just take a different drug. I'm not a big person for 'ego-death' and psychedelics like acid and this, I'd much rather opt for ketamine or DMT. Much easier way to do it and shorter duration and doesn't need to deprive senses as much. You'll still get 'mind-fuck' if you do on acid, but it'll be a lot more clearer and less confusing.

I haven't tried this anywhere near as much times as acid, but it's available and I've given it a fair few bashes so feel it's fine to be talked amount.

Also, I find the duration shorter than acid but still not 100% on this. I felt much more ready for 'reality' faster though.

My first trip my cock shriveled up like a motherfuck, we'll see how subsequent experiments go.

Also for what its worth.. I loved it, but I needed more water. Got really hot during the peak/comedown. The note that there is "less" or "little" mindfuck that I've read from others wasn't true for me, I was speechless during the peak.. Then again this was my first dose of any psychedelic in over 12 months. I have one 300ug experience so far, I loved it, very similar to lucy just less long lived. If it wasn't so expensive from the US guy I'd probably get a lifetime supply.. Its a substance I'll be extremely careful sharing as the experience was deep, deeper than say a casual dose of mushrooms for me mentally. I'll never trip the day before work again though, made me realize the futility of working a shit job for rent money..

had 200ug of AL-LAD some days ago. it was almost indistinguishable from a normal hit of LSD (120-150ug). I had a few shakes like with PEAs but nothing worrysome, the trip itself was deep and meaningful, emotional and interesting. it didnt lack anything. lasted well over 8 hours and mixed quite wonderfully with K post-peak.

dunno why people push it with such high doses, 200 ug already felt "upper edge" to me. the visuals were going crazy.

probably trying 150ug next not to waste material on dosage pushes that do not add anything more.

I think people often think that it has to be good or they've wasted their money, so they latch on to any positive thing so that they can claim it was worth it. See a whole range of absolutely snide RC stims for a perfect example.

I'm not saying that's the case with AL-LAD but that's why I'm still skeptical. Sure enough the first reports that aren't "IT'S THE BEST!" are starting to appear.

the way i see it is that AL-LAD is not LSD. if you are looking for introspection and deep headspace then take LSD or another psych with those qualities. What i love about AL-LAD is that you can have a beautifully visual trip with less of a risk of it all going pear shaped. Its perfect for social gatherings because u wont necessarily be thrown into your own mind, being confronted with the darkest corners of your psyche. Its perfect for me anyway as what i look for in trips is the visual aspect with lots of giggles and some form of control. Dont get me wrong i love higher dosed solo trips on acid but generally id go for AL-LAD 7 times out of 10.
