I think people are just getting frustrated because you aren't seeming to grasp the fundamental fact that oxycontin = oxycodone. 60 mg of oxycodone a day is the exact EXACT same thing as 60mg of oxycontin per day.
That being said, you got plenty of good advice on tapering. Stick to the lowest dose possible to get you about half way out of withdrawal - enough to make it bearable. Then slowly decrease over a week or two and them jump off. Once you get down to 10mg a day, or 5mg a day if you want to be safe, the withdrawal should be much more manageable.
Loperamide (immodium) is gonna be your best friend, since it greatly reduces most withdrawal symptoms, in my experience. There are some good threads about it on here.
There is no set time for withdrawal, no way we can tell how sick you'll get. Your mentallity going into it will play a huge role, as well as how far you go to keep your mind off of it, stay active, stay HYDRATED, and maintain proper nutrition.
Your habit isn't small time, but it isn't out of control either. I have faith you'll do well in yoru endeavor if you try not to sweat the small stuff and keep your head up. The acute physical withdrawal should be over within a week, with some risidual aches and pains, and trouble sleeping. The mental cravings are the hardest, which last a while.
