I cant trust the word of a person who walks down Hunter St with a cat on his shoulders picking fights with regular people, to film it, and threaten them with legal action if they retaliate.

I want to know how the hell he trained the cat to do that. Seriously, he may be nuts, but the cat thing = freakin' awesome.

Anybody goin to this?

hmm depends where you stand atgthe uni bar. I alwyas preferred standin atr that bity about 10 meters from stage just where the roof comes down to standard height.

Normally the sound system is good, however a friend that was setting up the party earlier in the nigfht was telling me that Bukem set the sound levels for the night and was very pedantic about it. It hasn't been that bad since the first party back at the Cambridge (Kid Kenobi?). I couldn;t stand being in there as it was too loud and distorting so even though i liked the music i had to console myself with being outside or up the back for most of his set which is not a good thing when you dance like I do!!

It'll be interesting to see how a nutshell at the BOTH goes.

No trip up from sydney this week as the Resin Dogs take up my entertainment budget this week.

^I think he meant shock did the latest update, not the original. But I still think Shock is lying about that to help his career as a serial pest. If it was him he would have done numbers. Anyway enough about that!

Easter weekend- I need to do something that's not to crazy, local, pretty fun and on the Saturday if possible. Any suggestions?

I see that t.a.p.p.e.d is on this night, and it's easter fancy dress! I am just wondering, has anyone been to any of these events yet? Was it any good? Preferably from someone not running it, ta :)

The T.A.P.P.E.D. events so far have been OK but far from something I would rave about. I was seriously let down by the first T.A.P.P.E.D. and the people attending. This may have been due to too much Happy Hardcore being played which I tend to despise after about 10 minutes. The second T.A.P.P.E.D. was a slight improvement but still left alot to be desired.

I think the promoters of T.A.P.P.E.D. have alot of improving to do before they will be close to the professionalism and quality of the EXISTENCE and ZOOK events,(which are far from perfect) which I always seem to enjoy, especially the last EXISTENCE where Amber Savage played a flawless set.

One thing that has put me off the events of late as a whole have been some of the attendees. Towards the end of the night, people who can only be described as 'pissed fucking loser clowns' start stumbling around the event knocking into people as pissed idiots do. There has also been an influx of individuals who I will refer to as 'strokers' and 'Fanny's Sluts' who walk around the events with their chests pushed out as if the world owes them something or it's some kind of fashion show rather then appreciating the music.

I'm reminded of a phrase that left the mouths of one of these 'Fanny's Sluts' that amused me greatly, being something along the lines of "This techno, trance, rave party is sooooooooo cool and I so love the pretty glowsticks" It is my belief that these people should return to their Fanny's domain to carry on with that nonsense.

Enough of my bitter and twisted rant though. Something that you may want to keep in mind for the Easter Saturday is PLASTIC on the Coast which I'm sure will be a good night. Any PLASTIC night is good and I'm sure this one will be no exception with both John Ferris and Bexta playing.

And just in case your wondering. I have no association with the promotion of any of the above mentioned events.

A Plastic V Existence weekend would be a good one I think. The one time I know of that John Ferris played in Newcastle was a great night. It would have been good if Plastic on the coast was done in Newcastle as it is still a bit of a hike to Gosford.

I think the next good thing coming to Newcastle will be the Transmission warm up party which is going to be a big one.

I missed Steve Hill the other night in town, and shall miss again at this, because that weekend I am flying interstate! Stupid thing is that I don't have to be there til the Monday but I got them to book my tickets for the Saturday....if I'd known this was on I'd have said no, book my tickets for Sunday night.

I wonder if I could possibly change the booking.... investigations are to be made I thinks.
