For those who dont know.....

Three pubs in Newcastle have been shut down for 72 hours. The Kent, The Gateway and King St. All due to "public health reasons" (people dealing shitloads of pills inside). The cops want them shut down for 6 months because of it.

Eight people have been arrested, five on trafficking charges. I knew a couple of them. Apparently about 4 months ago, someone got arrested for dealing and blabbed on a shitload of people. Now they're all going away for a while me thinks.

I didnt go out last night, but everyone tells me it was impossible to get on in Newcastle last night. The paper and radio say this will dramatically affect the supply of MDMA in newcastle and for once I believe them. At least for a while. Until the power vaccuum fills.

Boo. I was wondering why there were so many cops about on friday.

KSH and G were no surprise but seeing the Kent on that list was a bit bizaaro considering it's pretty much the closest pub to my house and the much older meathead crowd that tends to frequent it.

Still... thank god the children are safe now that the police have taken this action.
 
nah I've met many people off chops at the kent..(as it is my after work watering hole..

usualy the drunk bogan type..("Oooooohhhh maaaan I feeeeel great!!")
 
Lol i feel cheated now!!! All this and only a stones throw away damnit!

I tend to only go there for drinks in quiet weeknights so i've only ever seen a few people obviously off their chops in there.
 
Now i know why some many people get so into the piano guy up stairs at the Kent=D
 
It would explain alot!!!

Every time i go past he's playing the same song. This would provide and explanation as to how he gets away with it!! :\
