I'm not too familiar with that type of music but i would surely check it out and i'd say at least a dozen friends of mine would have interest.

Apparently if I heard correctly the Kensington is on its way to being a multi-level club with different genres on each level. yay!
Well it sounds good in theory.

And yes Woody, Newcastle does suck.. and I'm jaded to. I agree the "Cambo" is the place to be these days for the luckeyesque types. The lucky has gone goth hasn't it? Who knows why the renovations brought the goths, but anyway.

About your night Silvia, I think as long as its advertised well, and you have a good graphic designer... like me; and all the cool kids are going, it has to be a hit! And I mean plug the fuck out of it, in every shop, with glossy flyers and posters and ads in papers + volume mag. It will cost, but ppl won't know about it otherwise.

In other news kato is going out on his own with a night called DIXX but you all probably already knew that.

i wish i could take advantage of the slump in nightlife atm, but i doubt the kensington is going to offer up anything new or along the lines of my night in regards to music. so it can and has to wait, as i said i need to find some bedroom djs etc. so ask your friends, that means everyone. i'm looking for a fri/sat night, and the cambridge does look the most promising venue at this point. i like the front room a lot, it's perfect for what i have in mind, except for the paint job lol, but i can work with getting the room darker. i am hoping to attract those up for a couple hours of the latest fashionista music and a few drinks, and keep the other half happy as the night progresses through harder electronic genres.

belisimo - yeah, i would be putting a lot more into it promotion wise this time around amongst other things such as guest djs and genre specific music etc. my last effort (many thanks for all your help <3) whilst doing ok at first was a promoter partnership (as you know) and we all had different objectives for the night so things didn't go too well in the end. i gave all i could give and it didn't work out, but this time i'm going to do it my way, and no compromises.

dq - and others... if you would like to know what type of music will be played i suggest you purchase "World Service 2 - Mixed By Dave Clarke" which should be available here around 06/06/2005. i would come support your nights but atm i am unable to do so, however in the future i will most definitely, it's just out of my hands atm. i wish you every success.

it'll happen but not until the new year. as i said before, finding djs is one of my biggest obstacles to overcome. the established djs around here all play either house, breaks, dnb, hip hop, or trance. so you can see why i need the time to source talent. i don't want to have to end up doing 7 hour sets myself LOL, and i want this night to work out. so please be patient, i'll be doing my best to make sure it's worth the wait.

your ;) makes me wonder if you were being sarcastic where you said "newi need's this bigtime", but that's probably just paranoid old me :). at this point i'd even endorse a happy hardcore night considering the lack of regular dance events. now that's sarcasm lol.

but yes, it will happen and there will be techno!
 
should i or shouldn't i ?

in about a weeks time i should be finding out about a position that may be available at a rival company in Newcastle. I am already thinking about a move east and this has come up at the perfect time. Only problem i have is i know no one in Newcastle, and i know nothing about the place. My Dad has been there and says its a really nice spot.

so if i came over would you all be hospitable and look after poor little lonely and scared Linus?

p,s the night life sux in newi, and aparantly we are the most violent town in nsw, meh were all good ;)
 
party woodys house 24th this month

mainly beer and snags not huge or anything..
 
Went on Sunday night; was very upper class. Suede lounges and armchairs everywhere. They made a point to tell people that bogans arent welcome (good). Looks very nice now.

I was going to go tonight, but Lauren piked out. So I guess I'll just play San Andreas. Such is my Saturday night. :(
