Yeah it's much better when there are more teams in with a chance rather than one team running it away with it and everyone else hoping that the leaders slip up while they all play catch up.
like i said before though, the team who finishes above city will take it. so much incision in the way they move the ball around plus it has purpose. with aguero at the tip to finish they're really playing some delicious stuff. i think it's time to start considering him one of the top 2-3 out-and-out strikers in europe.
also wasn't really surprised to see spurs do this bad. all the signings they made were so-so. they improved in squad numbers and depth but not in quality. i think the reason they're still in touching distance of the top 4 was their defense and penalties. scoring wise only the bottom 2 teams have scored less. also avb's tactics are far too rigid. it's like he wants the team to play 100% tactics and 0% freedom and creativity.
harry was a big believer in the saying, "football is a simple game complicated by managers" so he used to throw together the most match fit group and let them play football. i think a balance between his style and avb's is optimum.
how do you expect the united midfield and defense to be when carrick and vidic are missing? i expect united to do some serious shopping in january. for a new manager as well if possible. i mean this with no disrespect but if they want to make europe let alone champions league that's gonna have to happen. they go 2-1 up today and start protecting their lead. when the hell have united ever done that. i'm also yet to see a nice goal from united this season.
looking forward to tomorrows match. two teams with similar styles. if i had to go for a result i'd say villa are gonna win it.
2 Workers been killed at the Sao Paulo's Arena the Corinthians stadium, one thats hosting world cup games, it looks pretty badly fucked...large part of the stadium is damaged..
This is a pretty cool world cup group stage simulator, scary some of the groups that can be... My first was England, France, Uruguay, USA. Second was England, Germany, Japan, Chile.
Bookies have taken a raping tonight on all fronts.. all games ending with over 2.5 Goals.. nice little 220 for the weekend there....only thanks to a 90th minute Cavani goal....
the guy who owns my basketball team just bought some football club called Charlton, are they any good? I figured id ask people who actually follow this stuff
not really a huge fan of multi-team owners, even if its a different sport
There are so many , my favs are when he was just breaking in to the team n had his pace all left foot some corkers . He has adapted with the game better than any UK player of the modern era .
In Italy it is not uncommon for class acts to play till late 30s , Maldini, Totti , Costacurta etc
i hope i'm wrong but i have a creeping suspicion spuds are gonna get a result against united after that 6 nil hammering against city.
forest were a great club sometime ago but those days are long gone. charlton's last stint in the premier league consisted of constant relegation battles. with the right money though, you can make something out of any club. sometimes it's not as simpl as that though eg. qpr. also when you're playing in the lower leagues it's hard to attract top players. and if you find the players that can get you into the premiership they won't always succeed in the top divisions. getting it up is hard, but staying up is even harder.
