I was turned on in 2005. smoked it a couple times in 05 and 06 but didnt start smoking it heavely till this year.
In 2007 i experinced my first breakthrough and there had been no turning back since then
I wish you all a year filled with the smell of moth balls.

love lite and deemsters

DMT is about to be as main stream as LSD, I can gaurenty it.

and to beat the problem of its carrier becoming schedueld, simply contact your own people in areas of the world which it can be grown in.

anyone else ever been to mexico? :p

love lite and deemster, BTW, bam margera smokes DMT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wants to try it so badly !
I haven't been able to find any of the plants that contain it in reasonable quantity here where I live (New Zealand) and am really not keen to import any plant material as it would at the very least give reasonable cause to obtain a search warrant, argh.
Then there is the option of a synthesis, but me being a upstanding citizen would never do such a thing.

In my opinion the trial could get rather complex using the "you're all holding" argument, because the judge and jury would also be acting as 'DMT carriers'

Cheers to more daylight! (for us in the northern hemisphere) =D

Don't forget DMT isn't the only scheduled chemical to occur naturally in the human body. There are a few hormones on the DEA's list as well. And everyone on the jury probably has at least a bit of one Sch II drug in their wallets. The above doesn't make them any less hypocritical, but I'm afraid the landmark case you speak of is nothing more than a pipe dream.

It doesnt come around my area. sucks

No shit, people/suppliers around here look at you funny when you mention DMT, they have no clue what it is.8o

A pipe dream perhaps, but I like to be optimistic. Who hasn't dreamed of stepping up in a court of law, laying out in beautiful logic why the drug war is an unconstitutional fraud and setting a precedent? Of course that presupposes a just system, and quite often in the halls of justice, the only justice is in the halls! 8)

I'd like to think that public perceptions are shifting more towards individual responsibility and moving away from Government babysitting. There's definitely opportunity for positive change, but I also agree that optimism should be tempered with realism.

Good point, aside from steroid-type cases do you know how common it is for people to go to trial for those endogenous chemicals?

I still haven't tried it (I'm gonna do an extraction next week I promise!!!), but I think we have to remember that this is only in the psychedelic community that it's spreading. Most people, even most druggies, have never heard of DMT. At least I've only met two or three IRL who've even heard the abbreviation, and never someone who's done it. At the moment it's not a psychedelic like acid or shrooms that everybody and their grandmother has heard of. And that's a good thing I guess, don't want our sources getting B&.

I think many people are afraid of DMT.

That's my experience anyway.

Quite why I'm not sure, the short duration (vaped) is a blessing inasmuch as if it feels scary it doesn't last long.

LSD/mushrooms etc at high enough dose can be equally uncomfortable.

DMT is one of the finest psychedelics I ever tried

I agree about the collective perception of DMT changing. To me, when coke-head 'valley girl' type bartenders are asking about DMT because they head about it from ... thats a signal of DMT moving more towards mainstream recognition. Thats only my perception though,

If ever I get bogged down trying to explain what the magic is with DMT (which is often) I send them to that Joe Rogan clip.
Strange how it suddenly came big in 2007. I had been searching for years. I had some inkling as to what would transpire, thanks two a couple of decent goes with Ayahuasca analogues. It seemed like DMT was always just around the corner, a bit like that feeling when you are looking for mushrooms after a tip-off and you can't find any.
Likewise, psilocin has seemingly popped into the open last year. The pessimist in me says that these synthed products will not be around long so a I grabbed it while I could. Despite availability, however, I haven't gone mad with them. I fully intend on enjoying the occasional well planned trip (both light and heavy)for many years to come.
When I think about it, the beginning of this sudden broadening of human headspace really warmed up when 4AcO-DMT first appeared. As I said in a report from that time, the headspace prohibited by the ban on fresh mushrooms (in the UK) had become available again.
Without wishing to be too silly about it, I really felt it a privelege of almost divine providence to get these opportunities after such a long period of hope and waiting. I have (unsurprisingly) not gone bonkers, and have found some strength from the fact that I am able to experience such outlandishly bizarre things and come out the other side with love in my heart.

could everyone that votes on the polls to also post how many people they turned on in previous years and 07?

I voted for 2007, since it was the first time I've used DMT, even though I haven't broken through yet. Still having trouble getting proper weight out of extractions. I think I just got shitty bark (I ordered powdered instead of whole). I've been trying straight-to-base, but I'm hardly yielding anything (we're talking like 10 or 20mg from 200 grams of bark). I'm going to try marsofold and see if that makes a difference, but otherwise I'm just going to write off this batch and try to find a better supplier for whole bark.

It is slowly becoming more popularized. It has come a long way and will probably rise in popularity. I am seeing it at more and more shows, this year especially.

Unfortunately, with school, family problems, and loads of other horse shit that needs taken care of, I haven't gotten around to trying DMT yet.

Hopefully the new year will bring a much needed change!

In 2007 I smoked, snorted and ate DMT for the first time. Though I love it, I only got three other friends to try it, and one of them smoked next to nothing. So only two friends who really tried it. They love it though :)

Well I got my girlfriend to retry it a few times only to have her cough out 'that disgusting shit' in rage. Also gave it to two friends, who saw it more as a funny weird thing then anything spectacular- thoughI haven't been able to encourage them to take higher doses....

I don't hink its a bad thing that DMT is becoming more popular,so to speak. While it will probably lead to tighter restrictions on the plants, I don't think any particular species will be illegalised, as there are too many (exception of mimosa hostilis, you guys are ploughing through that shit ;)) plants that contain the magic stuff. But DMT will never be controlled, because I could grow a garden with every plant containg the drug, from the grass to the trees. Plus, golden wattle (acacia) being Australia's national emblem and its variants being very commmon, I think we're safe.

Pipp, my thoughts exactly.

Good to see you on here and read your thoughts on the subject. You seem like such a good-hearted person - I almost instantly agree with what you say, intuitively.

peace and love <3
