It was my first time trying out DMT in 2007 as well, god damn, 2007 really is the year of DMT :) I extracted it from half a kilo of MHRB and yielded a few grams of pure crystaline DMT. That was some amazing shit, it blew my mind like no other psychedelic ever did.

2003 for me.
I'm currently growing a tryptamine-bearing Accacia....a few years old now, but that baby's growing slowly-grrr.

Anyone read Rick Strassman's DMT Spirit Molecule? See the chapter 'If so, so what'? Definitely sobering reading.

I assume you're talking about smoked DMT. To this I picked the 3rd choice. If Ayahuasca counts, then it should have been 2007, yes.

DMT crystals and 2C-B are two psychedelics that I somehow never managed to obtain for one reason or another.

Ayahuasca is nothing like smoked DMT.

I'm missing a 2008 option in that poll :/

Not sobering for me - I was never impressed by the quality of his volunteers in the first place. None of them explored DMT or ayahuasca themselves, they simply went to the hospital and got injected once or twice.

Spend 2 or 3 months getting the hang of extracting it and then put 4 or 5 years of devotion and exploration into it and you'll get a completely different opinion. It's like most things in life - you get out of it what you put into it.

I think one guy says "It didn't change my life" - nothing can change your life for you. It can simply give you a new perspective on life.

Yea
I don't really care what other poeple got from the experience just because it was put into a book.

I believe Youkai was kidding about this ^^ ;) but who knows I could see Bam gettin down on the DMT pipe for sure.

...Mmmm... mothballs...

::drool::

My first DMT experience was 2007. I have not broken through yet though. I suspect that will occur sometime in 2008.

From memory I think most of his volunteers were experienced to some degree.

You're right though. Thanks :)

True, they had some experience but I'm still not sure their atitude was right - for example one guy says "DMT reminded me of the times I tripped in my twenties when I had nothing better to do".

I think that's a guy who has never grasped the meaning of psychedelics or who wouldn't understand the difference between tripping and drinking beer.

Jamshyd, I'd love to hear what you have to say about low dose DMT and its anti-depressant effects. This is something I wholeheartedly believe in.

I know you support ketamine for this purpose, so it would be interesting to hear about your experience trying similar things with DMT.

Do you need help with extraction tips or something, I will gladly talk to you about it.

peace and hugs friend,

A bird got a real nice chunk in my area, a good bit.. so it's still around in 08 for me too :)

but i first hit it in 07, for sure.

^word. DMT is all over springfield. milhouse deals these days.

I think it was 2007 when I first tried Ayahuasca, may have been late 2006.I still haven't had a strong trip with it. I came close last time though. Maybe next time will be better.

I'm hoping to smoke some before this year is over.

It wont spread too far before the DEA fucks it up for everyone.... Just a matter of time until Mimosa Hostilis (Root Bark) is classified as an illegal drug...:\

There are some fairly common plants in the USA with a high DMT content. Desmanthus illinoensis root is supposed to have a dmt content similar to that of Mimosa Hostilis, and is very easy to grow. It grows as a weed in much of the USA, it would be very hard to eradicate. There is also phalaris grass. It is easily grown but not as potent.

There is no way the DEA can get rid of those natural DMT sources. If you don't mind growing those plants yourself, there should be nothing to worry about. You could find them growing in the wild in many places, so you may not have to grow them.

That doesn't really surprise me that '07 was a big year for DMT. I've still never gotten my hands on any, I'm sure I will when the time is right. But I do remember seeing an article in Rolling Stone at the end of 2006 about some guy out in NY that was starting like a community-thing, like the acid cliques of the 60's, with ayahuasca as its base.
