I think he says he's on fentanyl at some point when the interviewer asks him. A lot of these ppl say heroin to mark (because he's a square) but when Mark indicates he knows it's all fentsnyl on skid row they are like "yea I'm on fent"He's on heroin, according to himself but you can't really dose through sublocade, which is the monthly Buprenorphine depot. I'm on it and having surgery soon and they told me what they're gonna give me post op to break through my dose (the lowest dose) and it's massive.
Once stabilised they can start drug and alcohol counselling and work on the needle fixation, that's what I've done with my social worker. Haven't even thought about using opiates for a year and a bit since going on sublocade and I used to use on top of my Suboxone strips. It's actually been life changing.
Real heroin is kind of a rich man's drug now. Ppl on skid row its all fent. Regardless. What's different about sublocade vs oral bupe other than ROA? Bupe is bupe..if you do a drug with a higher bidding affinity (I think fent has it) you're going to feel something.
I would even get something out of IV oxy while on bupe strips at 4 to 8 mg....disappointing but it was something.
