Haven't even thought about using opiates for a year and a bit since going on sublocade and I used to use on top of my Suboxone strips. It's actually been life changing.

I think he says he's on fentanyl at some point when the interviewer asks him. A lot of these ppl say heroin to mark (because he's a square) but when Mark indicates he knows it's all fentsnyl on skid row they are like "yea I'm on fent"

Real heroin is kind of a rich man's drug now. Ppl on skid row its all fent. Regardless. What's different about sublocade vs oral bupe other than ROA? Bupe is bupe..if you do a drug with a higher bidding affinity (I think fent has it) you're going to feel something.

I would even get something out of IV oxy while on bupe strips at 4 to 8 mg....disappointing but it was something.

Sublocade is the monthly depot injection, and there's no option to skip your dose to lower the Buprenorphine levels in your body to use on days you don't dose. The level stays pretty stable throughout the month, there's no big peak and then trough like people think. Sometimes I've pushed back my dose 1-2 weeks because I know I can make it last longer and I'm not close to being in even the most mild state of withdrawal yet.

The addiction medicine specialist I saw before surgery told me that IV fentanyl, IV morphine, and oral oxycodone would all have to be used together to provide adequate pain relief to me on the lowest dose of sublocade which is 64mg a month. The people you're talking about would be on several hundred mg per month. 64mg/month is equal to 8mg a day.

I am self admittedly rubbish at maths (dyscalculia), so I would be grateful if you could work out what 32mg a day would be equal to for a monthly depot dose. That's probably what these guys would be put on.

Well yeah it's a bit tricky. I just hold the syringe steady between my middle and my index finger and pull back with my thumb. I personally had more trouble just getting a clean hit at the start because basically my lines are shit. It's all a matter of practice I'm afraid

Yeah it sucks lol. I feel like I'm gonna do some serious damage to my veins while I "practice" and figure out what works for me lol. Wish there was a way to practice without actually injecting yourself or something.

Don't worry, practicing makes you better and shakiness will reduce over time. Use as small needle as possible and always fresh. Take your time, there is no hurry to shoot and try to think it's "only" a drug, it's only a new way to use and it doesn't matter If the shot goes wrong, make a new one and try again.
 
Hey buddy, I'm an ex IV user for about twenty years or so, I too have had that sensation of registering and shot stinging like its missing. Usually smaller veins hurt me even if im in and shooting meth its just part of it, not so much with heroin. But all i can figure is that maybe the needle is partially in and partially out or the vein is crooked or stoppered in some way so a little bit leaks back out of the injection site while most of it goes in. Thats just a hypothesis though.
 
the best thing is in the groin .. I broke my arms until I finally found the groin veins and the best technique unfortunately has also increased my i.v use but for about 2 years I have been use the groin area left and right alternately and every day
 
I collapsed a vein in my left arm 2 years ago after the twice daily injections for a year. It was a Honey pot. I didn't have to tie off and could not miss because it was deep and wide. When it started to collapse, I still tried there and started missing a lot.

I tried other veins but found it very difficult to hit and usually missed. But when I didn't the needle hurt going in, the meth burned the injection site and all down my arm and I started bruising. I wouldn't know if I hit or missed until I got a rush or didn't.

These complications and just not being around any rigs caused me to quit for a year. I just found several rigs and loaded one after the other the last 4 days. I think I've done it 5 times now and missed 3 times, hit good once but I've had a time trying to shoot. I hated going in my hands and avoid it but ran out of options and went in a moment ago.

Meth just burns sometimes,so it registered and I carefully pushed it in steadily and managing the intense burning in my fingers. Then I pulled it out, pulled off my tie and looked in the mirror. I always do that and wait a couple of seconds for the rush.

This time I hit it all, no bump, felt it travel up my arm and then nothing. I was confused because I put a good amount in so I stood in front of the mirror and waited and waited for a full minute. Then I felt it. It was just like any other time. A little weak but nothing else unusual.

What could have delayed the onset of ike that. Usually, I have to hurry and unwrap to stand at the mirror right as it hits me.

What could it be?

My friend told me the same thing before I tried it. It will keep u addicted to drugs for as long as u live. Luckily my parents took away all my form of transporation so I cant get needles. Ive been needle-free for 4 months and I hope to not use needles again. It ruins drug tolerance, is more dangerous, can lead to infections easily, endocarditis etc, blood clots, the list goes on and on. Its easy to blow things off and say nothing bad will happen to you, but trust me it will, its just a matter of time, some quicker than others.

I totally agree. My Best Friend passed away he was turned on to it from his older Cousin. He swore that he would keep me away and safe from bootin' but one day a very long time ago around the last time I used Diesel. We coppped and we go back and I drop (like an idiot) my whole bag and was in WD's and couldn't take it anymore....so I said F**k it help me out (Best Friend) (FYI- so he od'ed the night before) and had bloodwork papers from a REAL Hospital at the time it showed no diseases. It that lucky? Is that stupid to trust a piece of paper? (I would say YES) these days you just never know. Soooo, long story cut short....... (Best Friend) injected me I had sworn to my Friends/Family/Girlfriends etc. That I would absolutely never b00t up. It was okay to inhale it every minute of every day but IV (hell no) so, after the injection I felt something....This person told me in advance the spike was very dull and was used while poking around my upper arm. So, it happened BAM instant (drumroll) NOTHING! I just felt a jolt of pain and a jolt of something I can't explain but I was still sick. I looked right down below me and found my bag after ALL OF THIS!!!! So, I could tell this (best friend) was not even caring he just injected his "Best Friend" with Intravenous Diesel use. I poured my bag out and did a bit and felt "normal" again. Bottom line, point blank I FELT NOTHING!!!!!!!! THANK GOD! GOD FORGIVE ME FOR THIS! You guys FORGIVE me for this! I've never talked about it before.

The only thing I have left from this incident & my B.F.F of ALL TIME is a kinda-blueish vein that kinda sticks out when I put my arms out b/c this was the first & last time trying or experimenting with spikes & veins. MY B.F.F passed away about 3 yrs later. when the Fent. cut dop kicked in.
B.F.F used alone in his own room so yeah. I just had to get this out.
I used since I was 11 when I started out with Meds/Dope so this was all my first time and last with I.Ving

But, thank you for the advice I Would def. be dead right now with all that I've put in my body from age 11.

No stem or headhop shen after id found the bag of flubLam if I didnt say so Friday(?) night and passed out 30min after plugging my seonc PhMii. didnt even ligiht the blunt i rolled closest and def more social than both using IV IMO/IMO

im insanely exhausted alll a sudden ; thank God I've go a strong sativa with a couple grams or crack to hotrail or otherwise utilize

Arterial blood will be bright red, as compared to dark red for venous blood. It may also be foamy. Plus the blood pressure will push back against your syringe, sometimes strongly enough to force the plunger back. Thirdly hitting an artery will HURT. Might feel like electric shocks going all the way down your limb, or like a burning sensation ; but you'll most definitely feel it.

What are you injecting? Most things will burn like lava if you into the artery when the particles get stuck in the capillaries downstream, but if it's something like cocaine then you really can't even rely on that because it numbs it so much. Like mentioned earlier usually arterial blood is brighter red and has more pressure, but from experience if you're dehydrated or malnourished sometimes that's not even a really good indicator unfortunately. I really can't advise enough against trying to go femoral or at the very least taking instructions off the internet. If you hit that femoral artery all of it is going to get stuck in the capillaries in your toes which is the furthest point from your heart and the absolute hardest to heal. Can I ask why you are trying to go femoral? Have you used up all your superficial veins?
 
Is there any situation, ever - is it even remotely possible - that you could inject suboxone, and miss the shot (even just a little) and not feel a burn or any pain?
