[Mega] Harm protection supplements

And guys I have a question. I am rolling tonight, and I take St. John's Wort three times daily. I have already taken it when I woke up, and would it be alright to take it with my lunch today, or is that not advisable? And what about right before I roll?

i wouldnt take it, just to be safe.
its also a mild SSRI so theres a chance it'd dampen the roll.
 
I'd also like to officially add Lion's Mane Mushroom to the official list of harm reduction supplements
 
Well I didn't see the responses till right now, so I didn't take it. Probably the safeest bet. But I;m still trying 62% dark chocolate.

ive never used it so i couldnt tell ya,
but from what ive heard, it works wonders.

It was just a "meh" for me. I tried it a few different times, once was just ok and the other two were not so good (and all other variables were controlled; good pills, setting, etc.). The only thing I can think of is that maybe it really only works for people that really need it? But in any event it certainly didn't make feel like the "first time" and a good possibility that it made things worse in my case. I tried different loading schedules too (pre-loading for a week one time, just one day another time...)

I hope it works for you, I just wish it did for me, because so many people rave about it! (it did give me a rush with my morning coffee which was kind of nice!) I might end up trying it again some time....

Yes long term 5-htp usage depletes Dopamine.

serotonin and dopamine precursors use the same enzymes. and that enzyme is rate limiting.
so when ur taking 5-htp everyday, the enzyme is converting it to serotonin, but that enzyme gets depleted and dopamine's production is inhibited.


the only way to have optimal levels is to take both dopamine and serotonin precursors and not just one.

long term 5-htp usage causes depression and unbalanced neurotransmittor levels.

also, when you take 5-htp, MAO increases to metabolise the excess serotonin, not only does the serotonin get metabolised but so does dopamine and norepinephrine.

It made it worse for me... the come-up was excruciating and the peak, short-lived. Maybe some pot would have helped, I don't know. I don't think I'll be taking it again, though. (I'll rate it at a 4.)
 
Piracetam w/ Ecstasy question

Some time ago, I took an attack dose of Piracetam hours before I rolled. What I noticed is that I was really rolling, but I had more control of myself and didn't feel the wild and out of control feeling I get when I'm rolling. I don't know if it was the pills I took, but here's the question:

Is taking Piracetam before rolling supposed to make you feel more controlled? Does it lower the tolerance you have with ecstasy? Out of anyone's own experience, what's Piracetam done the most for your rolls?

I moved your thread here because I think you'll find lots of answers throughout this thread.

I find that piracetam potentiates the "clarity" that you typically get when you are first using MDMA, but at the same time manages to make me "roll harder" off smaller doses. I've yet to experience noticeable come-downs when pre-loading with piracetam as well, though I personally space myself out by 2+ months each time.
 
anyone know if 5-htp is ok to take with Milk thistle?

been taking 5-htp recently after doing mdma, helps so much with the come down!
 
Would love confirmation that this is a safe/effective preload/postload. Also, should I change my st johns wort dosages? thats my only addition to my previous supplement diet:
PRELOAD
st johns wart - 1500mg twice daily - fourth week to second week prior (none for two weeks prior)
piracetam - 1600mg twice daily - two weeks prior
vitamin c - 1000mg twice daily - two weeks prior
vitamin b12 - 1000mg twice daily - two weeks prior
magnesium - 500mg twice daily - one week prior

POSTLOAD
piracetam - 1600mg twice daily - one week post
vitamin c - 1000mg twice daily - one week post
vitamin b12 - 1000mg twice daily - one week post
magnesium - 500mg once daily - one week post
5htp - 100mg twice daily - one week post
 
I think you can up the vit C dose on the night quite a lot. If you're after anti-oxidant effects then you' d get more of those by taking green tea along with the vits, you can get decaf mega caps which equate to like 8 cups. I'd also say that slow release vit C would be useful on the day since it doesn't hang around all that long. Pycogenol is another strong antioxidant which is long lasting. Bit expensive though. Vit E is also antioxidant
 
thx very usefull thread .. but imo nothing can protect ur brain from mdma use ,its just the way this specific drug works.
 
Hello guys, I've just spent 2 hours reading the whole thread :p

I was well aware about supplements but not about there interactions and the variety available.

I already take 5htp, magnesium, vitamins. As of today I started using Piracetam thanks to this particular thread lol

Being quite sensitive to come downs I am looking to ameliorate my supplement intake.

5-htp: Some people say take before/after roll, some say after only and some suggested not immediatly after roll (same for tyrosin:
also any one thinking about taking L-Tyrosine or L-tryptophan post MDMA. it will not DO ANYTHING!

MDMA usage causes oxidation on the enzymes that convert tyrosine and tryptophan to l-dopa and 5-htp. these enzymes will not work for about a week after mdma usage.

people are advised to take direct precursors of serotonin and dopamine to increase their neurotransmittors. otherwise in that week, serotonin and dopamine levels can drop upto 40% since our body can not synthasis the neurotransmittors from food sources

So who has a good answer to this? What are direct precursors of serotonin and dopamine? Should I take 5htp and tyrosine 2 days after the roll? Whats the best dopamine precursor?



After a long thought I am thinking about adopting these supplements:

Quercitin
Green tea extracts
L theanine
ALCAR
ALA
L Tyrosin
5 HTP
Omega 3 (1000mg/day)
Magnesium
Piracetam


I havnt worked out the quantities and frequency but do you guys think it's a smart combo, or are their some redundant things in there?

for some people, taking 5HTP the day prior/of their roll they feel like the experience was less than they thought it would be, ime preloading doesnt do much anyways :\ and taking 5HTP immediately after your roll is safe and good if your worried about insomnia, only thing is theres always the chance of serotonin syndrome. using it the days after work amazing for mid-week depression IME.

i wouldnt worry too much about replenishing dopamine since your body can produce it pretty easily and MDMA doesnt release nearly as much of it as it does serotonin. plus i think dopamine toxicity plays a huge part in the whole MDMA causing brain damage debate so i wouldnt worry too much about it.
 
I usually take 5htp after sleeping it off, not immediatly after the roll. I wouldn't take it right before the roll either.
 
I currently take a time released Multivit which has almost all of the above + 150 mg ALA and quercetin with grapefruitjuice an hour before dropping and take 4 grams Piracetam 2-3 hours before dropping.. After i take a regular lowerdosed multivit with 300mg ALA and another 4 grams of piracetam and take 2grams twice daily the week after with ALCAR and GINGKO.. NO COMEDOWN AT ALL

Im currently taking 2 energy pills containing Caffeine + Geranamine + PEA (from Tyramine) + Hordenine + ECGC + Konjac root + Rhodiola Rosea + Evodiamine + Curcuma Longa + Forskolin every morning with my piracetam and am super energetic till bedtime feeling really good. BUT im wondering if this might be bad for my roll thats coming up in 2 weeks. Anybody got any info on this?

Also im planning on doing this 4 weeks on 4 weeks off.. I have a couple dozen boxes i bought at an auction for bodybuilding supplements :D


Any advice on possible harm or reduced roll due to this energy supplement is appreciated.
