Your top 5 "drug movies" & what you watch when you're high...

Not all of those are great movies, I just named the ones I could think of off the top of my head.
 
There's been a bunch of good drug documentaries on netflix lately.
I just watched the Green Rush (about marijuana grow ops in California) and the Union (the British Columbia pot economy). Pretty cool stuff.

they made it cartoony because it was showing you how the world looked to the drug users. it was portraying their psychosis and how derealized (when everything is fake looking or cartoonish) they were from the world.

i think they did an excellent job portraying it. and i LOVE that they made it so cartoony. its an awesome movie to watch while tripping.

also another good movie to watch while tripping (but has NOTHING to do with drugs. its just suuchhh a mind fuck) is Being John Malkovitch.
 
theres one named candy with heath ledger in it it aint the best but its fun to watch i like rqeuiem for a fream as well as gia starring angelina jolie and trainspotting

As for other "drug movies" there are plenty of great ones out there including:
-Berlin Calling
-Trainspotting
-American Cowslip (just watched this last night, highly recommended)
-Pineapple Express
-Friday
-Cheech & Chong Up in Smoke
-The Holy Mountain (not a drug movie but certainly one to watch while on drugs)
-Spun
-Blow
-Easy Rider (RIP Dennis Hopper)
-Half Baked
-Scarface
-The Doors

That's all I can think of at the moment.
If it hasn't been mentioned already, the Wikipedia List of drug films is a good place to find movies based on the drugs used in them.

On a side note, there are a couple good TV series revolving around drugs:
-Weeds (comical)
&
-Breaking Bad (I highly recommend this, watch the pilot right now if you haven't heard of it already!)

It's definitely different. I still think it would have been better if it looked more real and special effects were used.
 
Fear and loathing, and A Scanner Darkly are my favorites

Requiem is really good, i thought it's a bit too dramatic at some points though
 
cheech and chong up in smoke and human traffic are by far the best drug films out there

Many years ago here in the UK on Channel 4 they done a night dedicated to pot, they called it POT NIGHT and it was just full of films and shows about pot , best night of TV ive ever seen
 
I love all movies about drugs, the campier the better. Gives me something to complain about.

Fear & Loathing will always be my favorite.

god yeah how could i forget Trainspotting especially when im scottish ha ha

great film .. when i was in rehab down in glasgow a couple years back we used to go a walk every day and we went to the ice-cream parlor that you see them in on the film drinking a milk shake and when renton gives spud the speed, they had the picture of that scene on the back of their menus lol

Its called jackanelies or summin like that
