Japan earthquake, tsunami pictures

Hey fuckface, I changed that how the fuck bit to how on earth to make it sound cleverer, requote my shit bitch.
And your spasticated point on polulation growth, how is that supposed to correlate with epicentres of Earthquakes? As if the quake pin-points areas with many people living on it fuckhead.

EDIT: tectonic plates, the moon fucks with tides, I'm sure that and the sun can fuck with the earths plates, not that fucking outlandish eh?

90% convinced that you're a troll now. Good game, bro.

so some bad people have caused the sun and the moon to fuck with the tectonic plates, in order to cause earthquakes to bring tsunamis to heavily populated areas on the planet now.

btw i *am* a world reknowned astro fucking physicist and i didn't get this memo, typical. :X

How on earth do you know the moon has no role to play, are you a world reknowned astro fucking physicist?
The moon is pretty fucking close right now, closest in 18 years apparently(wiki doesn't lie), and that coupled with volatile solar activity could cause a disruption on Earth. A more plausible theory than civilisation or global fucking warming anyway.

So the moon is the closest it's been in 18yrs! A whole 216 months!!! Fuckinhell no wonder all this shit happened.

Footnote ...... The moon is approximately 4 and a half billion years old.

That was a post I made earlier in the thread which I made clear was tin-foil hattish and david icke'esque, is it that difficult to understand that I am not talking about that now? Try reading the thread.
what I am now saying is that it is quite possible that lunar and solar activity could have caused this. I've made this clear about ten times but some of you have reading difficulties.

Because I put out the idea(no not the moonweapon one), that lunar and solar activity themsleves are possibly responsible for these events I'm a troll now? Is it that hard of a theory for you to understand? Seems that way seeing as you and co can't wrap your heads around the idea and instead just make petty remarks, Sadie seems to be the only one to grasp the concept of it or at least have looked into the research or evidence. It's to with magnetic effects, even volcanoes can be set off by solar and lunar activity. It's not me making it up out of thin air like my moonwar theory this is something backed up with research by people in the field but hey, keep your head in your arse for all I care.
Anyway this is getting boring,

looks like the nuke plant is doomed after a second blast. Japan doesn't have much luck with nuclear does it? Two bombs and now a nuclear meltdown? I don't think mother nature likes nuclear being used by humans.
This is going to be worse than Chernobyl for sure. It's a 3 in 1 strike. With more plants in danger or melting down:(Sure they'll have some very good technology to deal with it somehow.

Supposedly not: "Experts say a disaster on the scale of Chernobyl in the 1980s is highly unlikely because the reactors are built to a much higher standard and have much more rigorous safety measures."

The article has a part around halfway down about the nuclear situation.

The US has moved an aircraft carrier out the area after detecting low levels of radiation 100 miles away. According the the correspondent though the levels detected so far are around the same as being exposed to during an X-ray.

I assume a worst case scenario is still possible, just unlikely.

Sad to read about all of this :(

I'll ignore your hiding under tin hats so you can put some wild theories out there botfly, but I won't argue with you about lunar and/or solar behaviour triggering this because none of us have a fucking clue really do we? I certainly don't buy into any kind of man made causes that's for sure.

But in the end, this was a disaster waiting to happen and just needed a trigger, any trigger. The quake itself was as a result of massive sudden shifts in the crust caused by a release of staggering amounts of energy that had built up over time. All they needed was something to give them that final fatal push. It could have been anything. But I think it's clear that it was going to happen soon either way. Something broke the camels back. Whether it was a straw or the moon, I guess it doesn't really matter. The same will happen in San Fransisco at some point, and Yellowstone is just a catastrophe in waiting to name just two of many.

Message to mankind...don't build homes around mother nature's building site and expect a quiet life.

But yeah, of more concern I think now is the reactors.

Word...as they say.

Yowsers! Starts with a moderately large puddle swilling a few placcy bags around and five minutes later there's houses floating up the street. As if the earthquake itself wasn't bad enough there's all the other mad stuff it triggered to deal with :(

That was completely shocking. Those poor people. There wasn't even much chance unless you were already in your car. THe speed it was moving you might have been able to out run it but holy crap.

@shambles:
I managed to totally miss all this until somebody mentioned it yesterday. The joys and perils of living in a cave, I suppose. Not seen any of the footage yet other than the piccy linkies posted earlier. What. A. Mess.

Japan

I saw the initial fotage but worked the last 2 days and didn't see how it was developing yesterday.

Talked to a collegue at shift change that has a wife and daughter somewhere in the Tokyo area. I guess his wife was visiting her parents somewhere North of Tokyo when the quake hit. It took him an excruciating 20 hours before he got news. His wife was OK but stuck in traffic for many hours, his daughter was stuck at pre-school for a day. I could relate, the lines were tied up in the fall of 89' when i was trying to get through to relatives and friends after the Loma Prieta Earth Quake in 89'. I had just moved down to San diego about 2 months prior from the Bay Area. Took me about 24 hours to get through to my folks. Had a friend that was talking a bong hit at the time when the quake hit and he was running for the door but each wave would push him backwards- got bong water all over his moms rug.

Experts on saying that radiatioactive isotopes provides a less severe danger to our US west coast- I'll wait and see.

Anyway, the Japanese are resilient and resourceful (plus wealthy), they rebuilt a vibrant economy after Allied Bombings and 2 Nuclear bombs decimated the country. They will rebuild again. Time to crank out the Shabu, there gonna need it to clean up this mess.;)

We know that the moon was actually closer to its farthest point in orbit than it was the closest point when the quake went off. So yes, we can conclusively rule out the moon being responsible. The quake would have had to occurred within 3 days either side of the 19th of march for it to even be a possibility. There are also absolutely no peer reviewed papers that provide evidence for solar flares causing earthquakes.

That must have been awful.

I mentioned before, but I'm increasingly worried now about a fellow BL'r who I've been working with on various music projects. He's a DJ and Producer living over there and was on tour...somewhere near Tokyo I think. He's still not got in touch :(

Let's hope it's just shock that's stopping him from doing so.

Weird isn't it, no matter how many tragic images you see it's all too easy to get lost in the awe-inspiring magnitude of the event, and in many ways forget the actual human cost. Hope you hear from him soon.
