2010 NFL Season pt. 2 vers. FUDGE PACKERS VS DA SQUEALERS

Rodgers and the Pack are too good a team and you can't give them 3 TOs and expect to win. The fact the Steelers were even in the game in the 4th amazed me.

How stupid does SF look right now? ;)

I hope the owners and players get things worked out for a 2011 season because I want the memory of this loss to be gone sooner rather than later.

If I were a Steelers fan instead of a Dolphins fan I would still be happier than a pig in shit. I wasn't even born the last time my team won a Superbowl, and I was too young to remember the last time they were in one. There is nothing to be sad about, Steelers fans, you still have the greatest franchise in the NFL.

I'm just happy it wasn't the Patriots or Jets. I can't stand those motherfuckers having any success.

Axl sorry your team lost, i know how I felt after the Bucs raped us in the Superbowl.
You guys are the cream of the AFC though, and now that BB and the Cheatriots have had thier camera taken away, I dont really see anyone else but Pitt in the distant future from ruling the AFC, well until Oakland in a couple of years :)

When i said A-Rod was the 2nd best QB in the NFL, afer Tom Beiber, nobody took me seriously.

He is....

Better well believe it today.

It was an outstanding game overall. .

i disagree, i thought it was one of the slopiest SB's i've ever seen.

at 9pm EST i turned the channel and watched tom brokaw's special on aron ralston instead. that was fucking good.

regardless, congrats packers. aaron rodgers is a beast.

A rod is the shit. 24 for 39, 304 yards with 6 easy drops by his recievers, people said he would have been close to the 400 yard mark if not for the drops with 30 for 39

does anybody know when plaxico burress is getting out of the clink?

i kind of think the falcons should pick him up.

it was a very sloppy Super Bowl. but, that's what happens when you have two 3-4 defenses that play as great/aggressive as GB and Pitt. Steelers played like shit, but great in flashes. again, the Pitt OC needs to be fired. Green Bay's corners were shutting down ANYTHING thrown their way, but they couldn't stop Rashard Mendenhall to save their life! I know that Pitt got down early, but that doesn't mean that one should abandon the run that easily

the fact that Pittsburgh almost won the game, such a terrible showing, is a testament to how good of a team they are

TLM - I thin you are stretching it a bit with your Aaron Rodgers thing. we all knew he was great, and shit, all ESPN commentators were hand-jobbing him all season long. I was just more on the fence with him because he hadn't been to great in the playoffs prior to this season. but now, yes, he is the real deal

the scariest thing about the Pittsburgh Steelers was that Troy Polamalu played a mediocre game. haven't seen that one in awhile

GB played with no Sam Shields or Woodson for a quarter and still schooled Pitt.

Credit where its due, and I disagree AXL A-rod is something special.

if it weren't for a few dropped passes by the pack they might have won by 3 touchdown's. AR is the real deal.

that's another thing that pissed me off today. hearing all the "oh GB went through so much adversity, and so many injuries." like the Steelers didn't? all season long Pitt was playing with a patch-work offensive line (where half of the starters most likely wouldn't make the practice squad with another team). Big Ben was out the first four games, and Troy P played injured throughout most of the season and missed some games (but he still won the Defensive MVP. damn)

however, the player that was most missed for the Steelers at the SB was Pro Bowl rookie Center Maurice Pouncey. he is essentially the only above-average offensive linemen on the team, and it was heartbreaking to see a rookie who worked his ass off throughout the year - miss the big game

GB wasn't the only team playing through adversity

on that note - how many player were injured in the first half alone? it seemed like there were 5 players from both sides being carted off the field? and here I was thinking this much-heralded artificial turf was something special. one would think the players were playing on concrete!

Credit where its due, and I disagree AXL A-rod is something special.

you're not reading my posts because I'm not disagreeing with you... :!

GB played with no Sam Shields or Woodson for a quarter and still schooled Pitt.

that is a double-edged sword, because Pittsburgh was playing with a third string O-line and sans-Pro Bowl center, but the vaunted GB defense couldn't stop Mendenhall. now why Pittsburgh didn't run the ball more is the mind-melting question for us fans...

GB had 15 players on IR 8o
They basically raped Shitsburgh with 66% of thier healthy roster.

raped? I know you might be gunning for a reaction on this board's Steelers fans, but it's not like this was the 1985 Bears VS Patriots SB. in most games (and especially playoff games), when Big Ben has the ball left with 2: 00 left, he wins. I give props to GB's defense for stopping him, I just hope you do realize that you could have been very close to singing a different tune...

oh yah, funny from a Steelers fan perspective:

PS - and that could be the last SB of the Super Bowl Era (45 years strong). I suspect that both the NFL players are correct in predicting that there will be no 2011 season, and that the Mayans are correct in that the world ends in 2012 (just months before the last SB ;))

Axl The Packers dropped 4 3rd down catches, dont pretend the game was as close as it was.

Pitt got raped, whichever way you chose to spin it.

I dunno man, seems to me like you are spinning it. sure you dropped a bunch of passes, but that's the game of football (if you've played, you've heard the footsteps too). fwiw - I thought my team had it in the bag when it Rodgers started finally not playing invincible in the 2nd half - and -

you're telling me - after "Young Money" Mike Wallace was hit on that 4th quarter TD and Randel El scored on the subsequent 2 point conversion - that it wasn't a close game, or that you were nervous in the slightest? the game was within 3 points

raping is like... let me pick an example that you would understand... when the Steelers raped your Oakland Raiders 35-3 in the middle of the regular season. I think you're trying a little too hard here

while it was a sloppy game (whaddya expect with two tough-as-nails defenses), the general consensus is that it was a pretty good SB. my question to is, why would the general population consider it a pretty good SB if it was a raep?

I knew the 35-3 game would be mentioned .:)

We are on the way back though, that was our worst game last year, we doubled out points total this year under Hue, and drilled Dungver for 100 points and 1000 yards in 2 games. And went undefeated in our division.

McFadden is the best young RB in the NFL, And wait till we get a full year from a healthy Schilens, cant wait to return to prominence, the future Pitt-Oak games will be for AFC dominance =D

Maybe there was some raping going on during the first half, but the second half we definitely had y'all not doin nothin for a whikle then we cut the like axl said usually when there's 2 minutes left and Ben's got the ball and we have the chance to win, we do. When the Packers were at 2nd and goal I figured they was gon score and it was over, then when we forced the field goal and we were only down 6 I was so sure Ben was going to pull out a legendary drive and win it for us as he has so mayh times before. I think that's what made it especially heart breaking to me was getting so close I could taste it at the end like that. But when you play like shit 80% of the game you don't win Super Bowls

i knew something was off:

Because the NFL has decided not to include cheerleaders into the Sunday Super Bowl program for the first time in it’s 45-year history. What’s the reason for this, you may wonder? The reason is simple. Neither the Green Bay Packers nor the Pittsburgh Steelers currently has a cheerleading squad. The Dallas Cowboys’ cheerleaders offered their services to do their rah rah rah thing, but since they are not affiliated with either of the teams actually playing in the Super Bowl, they weren’t allowed to cheer. The head cheerleader said, “The NFL just won’t let us. They’ve covered up every star, every Dallas Cowboys logo, so we’ll be performing outside before the game.”

But there was a time when the Steelers and the Packers had cheerleaders. The Green Bay Packers had a squad called the the Packerettes, Golden Girls, or the Sideliners, depending on who you talked to, who disbanded back in 1988. In the recent past they have brought in college-level cheerleaders to entertain at the home games and at past Super Bowl appearances, but not this time.

Long ago, the Pittsburgh Steelers had their own squad called the “Steelerettes.” They formed back in 1961 but were sacked just eight years later in 1969 by the Rooney family, who owns the team. The family, as well as some of the players, feel that the “eye candy” takes away from watching the game itself. Pittsburgh wide receiver Antwaan Randle El recently said about cheerleaders, “They are a distraction. You want to focus on the game. If you happen to look, it’s ‘Oh, my Lord!’ Especially in Dallas — they not only have cheerleaders, they have go-go dancers hanging from poles.”
