It most certainly does enter the BBB, but it does not act like GABA itself, it increases it's production.

i ment GABA itself can't cross the BBB, i know pregabalin can.

i think you are right, as i read that pregabalin acts as a GABA precursor therefore would end up with increased GABA.

damn science can be confusing.

No, I mean pregabalin increases a certain enzyme that is responsible for direct GABA creation. This is how it works...
