hey bluelight... so i found out i have step throat today. fever was over 104 not too long ago.. this sucks so bad i hope none of you ever get as sick as i am now.

im trippin but not in a good way.

I think a big part about psy is the fast, hard pumping kickdrum and rolling bassline; just giver down, and I mean really get up and just fuckin groove your ass off too it.

Hard to explain really...

Really gets me goin though.

Try something like this, just admire/actually think about what is going on with the sounds. Like how sounds are doing what they do and how awesome they go together.

And another key factor in psy is you really need to listen to the whole song, as after a couple listens you'll be like "holy shit I never noticed that before!"

And some psytrance tracks are actually very psychedelic as compared to traditional trance/house/whatevs.

It just seems like psy producers put a hell of a lot more time/skill/intricacy into the sounds and the track as a whole.



Basically; Most average trance/electro/house/etc. < Well made psy (and I would say even regular cheesy psy blows most of the other genres away in terms of production value (I really mean intricate designs and crazy sounds doing crazy things)

Most psy pisses me off, just the same beat for an unbearably long time...and fucking darkpsy...even more annoying. I like quite a few older psy and goa albums, but anything recent i tend to find really irritating. That being said I love psybient.

I don't like dubstep as a genre really, but I absolutely love this track:

Not a problem <3 It was the music for the first time i got high, split a half oz with 2 friends in brownies, we ate the whole thing in a night cause it didnt do anything until 3 hours in. Was in a tent that felt like it was 50ft tall and melted into the music, almost like tripping, was fantastic :p

Psytrance isn't all bad in my mind, but I have trouble getting past the cheese factor that's overwhelmingly present in electronic music...that, and it all tends to sound repetitive and bland pretty quickly (to me). It's too formulaic. I still might be up for checking out a festival at Deerfields (near Asheville, NC) if for no reason other than to immerse myself in psychedelia with a bunch of people in the beautiful outdoors of the North Carolina mountains for a weekend.

I went to one of the psytrance fests they have a few times a year, last year. It was absolutely a wonderful place to spend a weekend with out any sense of time. Not to mention how comfortable Deerfields is with only a couple of hundred people.

little teensy dnb sections in it, they switch between fat dutch hardcore beats and fat dutch dnb beats. its a fat track though, at least the meccano twins remix. the original song i dont like as much.

That third link if a little hard is right up my street, thanks. Oh it keeps changing, thats weird. Ha ha LMA that third link is like a complete mash of dnb and hardstyle, well found man. He he it's really well done the switch's. Predator and angerfist was awesome.

hardcore but yeah..that shit is way too fast to be hardstyle.
hardstyle seems to be a bit moar cheesier than it used to be. when i be rollin i like it a lot but sober id much rather have proper aggressive hard beats.
angerfist is good but a bit played out imo.
his whole HORROR MOVIES I WEAR A JASON MASK WHEN I PERFORM thing is imo a bit dumb.
