I didn't experience withdrawal until my 3rd month doing it. Snorting it made my stomach upset so I had to snort it and enjoy it laying down. I started shooting it and that just brought on its own set of problems. I know I am a hypocrite but please just stop doing it and please don't shoot it. You will never want to do anything other than shoot once you start. I was just talking to my girl, who I get my stuff from and who I get high with, and we were both saying how we wished we'd never started as we were planning to meet eachother. LOL. But seriously I do wish I had never tried it, I wish I hadn't been so ignorant, I wish I wasn't chasing a high, I wish I had been so dumb as to think I was somehow immune or better than other people and could not get addicted.

If you do decide to do it, please be very sanitary and never share needles. If there is someone you know you trust who can show you how to do it then take advantage of that. I wash my hands, use sanitizer and apply neosporin to the areas. I also wipe the area with hydrogen peroxide. I also wish that the person I was relying on would have told me about tying off. And as tempting as it may be I would avoid shooting up in your hands. I got to the point where I didn't care but when I sobered up I sure cared and now have to get rid of these scars with TCA chemical peels.

Oh and my tolerance is ridiculous. I tried to bring it back down b/c I heard you could if you just didn't do it for a while but no, it still takes like 2-3 bags of shit that sends other people to the hospital for me to feel anything. Before I started I could get high off a 15 mg pill but no more.

Well, it is true that abstinence will bring your tolerance down, but it takes quite a bit of abstinence. I didn't notice my opiate tolerance drop until I had been clean for a few months off dope, and actually managed to catch a buzz off 50 mg hydrocodone. From the couple times I've quit for a prolonged period, it seems to take about 6 months at least for your tolerance to get anywhere near baseline, and even then, it never quite gets back to where it was as an opiate virgin.

And if you start up a habit again, your tolerance rockets right back up to insane levels within a week or two, at least in my experience.

Hey Chinky, did you ever end up injecting? If you didn't its gonna be a lot easier to quit than if you'd been quitting. The first 2 weeks are rough, but after that the cravings just get easier and easier to avoid with time. You'll still get some random cravings that are bitches, but like I said, just give it time.. I also suggest you start smoking weed again. It'll help you with sleeping and it gives you something to do when you're craving dope.

Yeah chinky you can do it, if you're quitting because its putting a strain on your family then I'm sure you can do it. Me on the other, I only want to quit because of the cost and that isn't a big enough reason to quit for good.
 
Got pulled over two days ago, had quite a bit on me. Luckily being paranoid as hell paid off, as my "reason for being in the area" was, at least to this cop, believable, and even then, it would have taken a warrant to actually get to the drugs. Of course if he wanted to play hard-ball and sit around for two hours or so, he could have probably gotten that warrant needed to open the "X-Can't say, as it does actually work", but PM and I'll tell you what I do the second I get my dope. Anyway, even though I'm not that worried about getting pulled over, being part of a buy/bust/etc situation could still screw me over, and the dope game is a game I need to take a break from, at least until I'm not a recognizable figure in the open-airs. Should be good to go in a few months, but hopefully I will be in a better place mentally at that point, and if so, I'm fine without opiates. @tuthspeaker1- You do know you can just go to a doctor and get a prescription for suboxone right? Not all doctors have the ability/knowledge to prescribe it but i'm sure there are plenty of options in Atlanta. You can use the doctor finder on the Suboxone website to assist you http://www.suboxone.com/. I understand that seeing a doc can be costly if you don't have insurance but if you can afford heroin/taxed black market subs you could probably swing it. Hell, if you haven't burned your bridges with your folks they may be able to help you out. Not only will you save money in the long run by getting your own script you can also avoid copping subs from people still in the game, increasing your chances of staying clean. Good luck.

I havent heard very good stuff about the dope in Indianapolis, to be honest. From the people I've talked to, it seems to be predominantly tar that seems to have less euphoria and more side effects, making me think its poor quality and containing quite a bit of 6-MAM instead of true heroin.
 
I just wanted to stop by and say thanks to everyone, the support means a lot...it really does
But I just wanted to let everyone know how the first few days are goin..I decided to move out to my uncles for a week or 2 in indiana, just to get out of chicago and out of my house..actually ignored my dudes phone call..I took about 6mg of sub on weds and haven't had to redose since..haven't thought too heavly about dope so I guess its goin well..been smokin weed and drinkin beers so I'm sure that helps but who knows really..

Anyone familier with subs..is it normal not to have to redose for a few days after your initial dose?

What's good fam..I was gonna try slammin those last bags but I decided against it..I mean almost 2 years of doin dope and haven't touched it yet, fuck it...glad the caps where good though

Chinky, I'm happy that you're realizing what dope is doing to you and your family but at the same time I am worried. It seems as if though you are quitting only because of the effects on family, and to me it doesn't seem like you actually want to quit. I know from experience that no one can make you quit, unless you want to quit yourself.

If you want to quit, you can do it- the best advice I can give is to distance yourself from all things dope related until you have a decent handle on things (after the w/d is over and you have some clean time). Anything dope related could be anything, including (sorry bluelight) but this website.

When I got out of treatment and I started to log back on here, it brought back all those memories of being high as a kite and nodding out while reading on this lovely website, and from those thoughts I ended up making the decision to relapse. Needless to say I am clean now and have been for a little while, but I feel that if I can get clean, so can you.

Its true I don't want to quit really but I have to for the time being..doesn't matter if its a week or a month but I need time off to get shit straight..I'd love to say I'd never do an opi ever again but who am I kidding? I've been doing opiates for so long I know ill dip back into it at some point..hell it could be tomorrow but I know I can't I need to find a job, I have 2 weeks until my hearing for my motion so I need to keep low and not fuck up and if the motion doesn't go well then I'm goin to have to prepare for trail or a plea..the worst I'm lookin at least I hope is felony probation..
 
All the D I do is from Indy.. Id have to say it's pretty damn good.. All of it comes from the Chi so as long as u get it from a legit dealer who doesn't cut it up and it's still in chunk form then your pretty much set.. No complaints here! Nod on Nap Town! Oh and from my experience the paks in Nap don't seem to be cut up with tons of diphenhydramine like I hear the chi town blows are.. Ur packs here might not be as fat but they are more on the raw side.. Holla!

I can't believe this guy, had the phone off for three days and now has a crazy mexican woman screaming for his out-going message. I swear to god, I'm am not going to the west side. Well, maybe not until I get my shoes on, dammit.

yeah, my last post didn't make much sense because the quote i replied to didn't show up, but I was talking about the guy i go up to see in chicago. The foils he has are absolute shit. A few weeks ago I had a drug test at the clinic and of course it came back dirty. my counselor was like yeah you came back positive for opiates and benzos. I was like there is no way in hell it came back pos for benzos then i got to thinkin i bet the guy cuts his shit w/ benzos. but yeah like i was saying 4 foils didn't keep my methadone wd's away. BTW the drug test i failed i'm thinking about challenging cause it had been 4 days since i used and i always thought after 3 days you were good so...anyone know if it's a waste of time for me to challenge the drug test or just forget it cause it's probably right?

Good to hear you're staying clean, man, its pretty rough those first few days, but it does get easier. And subs can last for up to 72 hours, in my experience the initial dose usually only lasts about a day, but I suppose its possible to not have to redose for a few days after a single sub dose.
