otc potentiators, what you use, how dxm helps you

^ I'm not sure what the dose is, but it has anticholinergenic properties like dimenhydrinate so can produce delirium. I don't know what it's efficacy is compared to dimenhydrinate though.
 
Yea, but promethazine in general alone, anyone tripped or heard of trips from it. I take the 250mg with 700mg codeine with zero bad effects, but will nod with the combo. Alone how ever, i tried much higher doses then 250 to try and sleep, to no prevale. (codeine withdrawals).
Then i must really be adhd. Or just made for drugs as i used to say, when everyone would be spewing after various orall drugs, including alcohol wich i don't drink now. Oh well, spose i could say thank you god.
 
I take 100mg of promethazine for sleep and i find it helps greatly. Get a good solid sleep in, no wakeing up in the night etc. It's hard to tell when your under the influence of it because it's not like a benzo and acts instantly. It just kind of sedates you gradually, in such a small amount it isn't noticeable (kind of like that concept in psychology when you don't notice sound or light increases as it's in too small an incriment).

I like the sedateing effects - they relieve stress and worry, i read it's used an anti-pyschotic somewhere, maybe this is why it has these effects.)

All in all good substance. Never done more than 100mg though; might be fun to try that 250mg dose as long as it's safe, IMO feel a bit dodge takeing 10 times 25mg tablets.
 
Phenerg's arn't a fun drug, maybe for mr ibis :P Just a potentiator in my eye's. There has been many uses of promethazine, from a anti-pyschotic to anti nausia treatment. But over all, it's just an antihistamine. Great for codeine.

You go and buy 'Robitussin DX' or 'Robitussin Dry Cough Forte' from the chemist which should contain 30mg of DXM per 10ml of liquid and no other active ingredient. 'Restavit' is also a worthwile purchase, a behind the counter sedating antihistamine used as OTC sleep aid.

I would reccomend you dose 1 restavit tablet and 10mls of cough syrup (30mg DXM) 45 minutes to an hour before you drink your codeine. You could get away with another 10mls of DX 20 minutes after you had your codeine if you feel you need it, but unless you have abused DXM in the past or have a really high codeine tolerance 30mg should be enough the first time. I would start with one 'restavit' I don't think 2 is unsafe but probably overkill. I would take one and if you are still particularly nauseas or itchy 30-45 minutes after you drink your codeine then you can always take another.

Theres other things you can do, like add mild doses of benzos or muscle relaxants, they add a nice feel to it. I like to drink one or two standard measures of alcohol in the half hour or so leading up to consuming my codeine, it adds a little sedation and alcohol induces CYP2D6. You could take antacid 20-30 minutes before your codeine dose as well.

Give some of that shit a whirl man, it is sure to make codeine work better for you, just be careful you don't do them all at once or you might overpotentiate and get sick.
 
Guys, i'm back from friday trip now. WOW. It waas my lowest dose but most intence trip for a while. I will say one thing that i found with me now. Codeine tolerence = DXM tolerence.
Even if you stop codeine for 4-5 days the tolerence will be there for dxm. Wait more then a week and BAM, it works. Trip started off pretty bad, like didn't feel right for first hour. I drove deep in the bush to avoid any light that may anoy me. I didn't get back down to base untill 3am this morning. Still, 1200,mg is my new low dose record! I'll return when i can type better...;)
 
When i can feel my hands again i've got some mad new research on the topic. I'll never need to drink more than 3 bottles again! I'll never need to waste money, blah blah blah. I'm happy 8).
 
Your fucking crazy bro, no idea how you down that much of the garbage. Have you ever had pure DXM? I used to know a guy who got pure DXM, was tempted to give it a whirl but I never really liked the shit. The amounts your using would probably be safer, more pleasant and more cost effective if you sourced pure DXM powder. ;)
 
Yea, since my last trip, i've had a few sources for pure dxm fall into my lap. I'm still thinking outside the box if you know what i mean. I just can't get over how hard it hit me, and on such a low dose.
 
Well, as for dxm, it seems that it doesn't work anymore. I've increased dose tried synergy mixes, codeine and the rest. Don't know why, i've gone more than a month free, then dose and .....just a shit feeling of numbness with no thought. Just a blank stare and mind. I've tried a small dose and same feeling on a lesser feeling. I might add, that i feel sick whilst coming down. Even using dxm to kick codeine along at theraputic dose and i feel the dxm and no codeine at all. Codeine still works btw. Can anyone shed light on this. Cheers.
 
okay! dxm reduces tolerance for opiate type drugs, mmkay? it works, forgive me if im wrong, through your NMDA synapses or some shit!

Have you tested potentiating/synergising with LSA or Cannabis? Both I found to change the experience in a way that can't be compared to normal high doses. I used to try DXM a bit (more than 2 years ago) with dosages from 300-900mg, but I wouldn't bother any more unless I had the pure powder and was using one of those two substances.
 
i really enjoy dxm occasionally maybe once every 2 months
just 600-900mg and then lieing in bed and letting the music take me away
low dosages of dxm just makes me feel retarded though

never tried it with anything else though (except weed to potentiate) i know its dangerous with mdma so i figured its dangerous with other drugs too? heh im no chemist
 
I usually take a bar of alprazolam and drink 200mg of DXM and then drink 600mg codeine 20 mins after, sumtimes adding 60-70mg oxys (On it now) :) DXM is an awesome potentiator. Like DM said travelcalm is great if u experience sickness or nausea. The original one is the best (red box) the others are not as good ( all natural ingredients). DXM also lowers tolerance with opies so be careful with ur dosage. My tolerance has built up over the past years. I suggest to anyone to practice safe moderate doses and also individually if possible just in case. Mixing these things can prove fatal.
