otc potentiators, what you use, how dxm helps you

Cool, i remember reading that years back. But any info on it's ability to reduce tolerence to opiods? Plus any go on the dozile etc?

^yeah, it is believed it can reduce opiate tolerance over time, but how efficient and effective i'm not sure. there's threads on it in Other Drugs, plus a google search will bring all you wanna know up.

but honestly the only way to really reduce tolerance is by abstaining for a good period of time but even then your tolerance goes back up in no time when you start using opiates again...much quicker.

Cheer's. I'll check out other threads on it. But any go on dimenhydrinate and doxylamine succinate? Is it otc here, and brands etc? Thanks.

yeah they're OTC, don't know the names of dmh off hand but drug mentor will be able to tell you. doxylamine comes in 25mg(they might be 50, its been a while since i purchased) gel caps called dossile or in combination pills of codeine/apap/doxy called travacalm

Alright, doxylamine succinate comes sold as 'restavit' which are 25mg plain, white scored tablets.

When I take dimenhydrinate it is brand name 'Travalcam - Original' (there are other travalcams, fuck knows whats in them) and it has 50mg dimenhydrinate, 0.2mg hyoscine and 2mg atropine, the box is white and the writing is dark blue I am pretty sure.

If you are interested in diphenhydramine you can get 50mg tablets under the brand name 'snuzaid'. Apart from promethazine these are all the antihistamines I have experience with and I use them with codeine and not to potentiate DXM. Obviously since I also use DXM to potentiate codeine I do use them together but you know what I mean.

Awsome mate! You made my day, now i have a new shopping list :)
Now for one more question, is dimenhydrinate sposed to be trip-able? I swear people where posting years back on erowid. I'll be doing some reseaarch in the meanwhile, and see what are the pro's and cons of the synergy. Will definetly try with codeine. Thank you drug mentor and leftwing. drug mentor, your avatar name is very accurate. I'll comeback with a trip report.

^ When I was younger I tried dimenhydrinate, it sucks, it just makes you delirious, talking to people who aren't there and believing ridiculous shit which now I have no problems doing without drugs. :\

NO euphoria or mind expanding potential like psychedelics, no awesome dissociation like with DXM, you will just be interacting with people and things who aren't there.

^ I thought he agreed the DXM culture thing was wrong/strange to talk about?

Whatever. The best part about DXM for me was listening to Bitches Brew and perceiving the monstrous bass loop as a living creature with the other instruments being smaller organisms hanging off the big one or being the voice of the monster. That was strange.

Yea, from what i gathered off erowid, it's delirium, like datura. Some people don't mind going mad in the primative brain. I'll keep that safe for motor skills. Still the synergy might be cool.
I'll keep the dose below that of delerium. I must admit, it was wierd on datura talking to my mirror, and having me talk back from the mirror, if you know what i mean. I want a spiritual experience. Things are loooking sooooo good for friday. Sooooo long with no drugs, cept pot of course, and nicotine. You guys ever heard of a natural/permanent tollerence to opioids?

on the topic of DXM ive read it is neurotoxic along with K and other disassociatives to a larger extent than MDMA and heard about people that have abused it and cant string long words and slur their speech and lots of people say they wouldnt do it

Is it fairly safe to just try it a few times with large gaps between trips?

I think dimenhydrinate would give a delerious trip similar to any other antihistamine, I would be carefulwith the brand I listed as it contains atropine and hyoscine. I know atropine also causes delerium, not sure if hyoscine is dangerous when taken in large quantities but it seems to me it really is not a wise medication to abuse... I should add that 'Travalcam - Original' are also plain white pills with a score but they are flat pills where 'restavit' are more bevelled.

LOL at you saying my name is accurate, I have always felt a bit douchey having my name as there are many on here more knowledgable than me, a great deal many more knowledgable than I was when I signed up. It was an inside joke in my group of friends I was the "drug mentor" because I was reading erowid and bluelight from a young age and was always giving tips on HR.

Yes it is a good idea to keep gaps between trips.

Some of the neurotoxic claims about DXM ended up being bunk or unproven, I'm thinking Olney's Lesions here, but still in that great William White FAQ on the stuff he talks about other long term effects users have reported to him and like you said they don't sound fun.

It's funny how self taught net heads can get the same knowledge in 1 hour, then a junkie of say 5 - 10 years. HR is important with mates. There's always one guy (like me) that dives into things way to hard and i'm sure that many lives have been saved due to Bluelight, erowid and google etc. I'm still waiting for friday, but my posts from then on should be.....ummmmm, more....ummmm, "spacey"? "thoughtful"? I dunno, something along those lines. =D

I've tripped on promethazine before, people began appearing and having conversations with me, i found the delirium quite fun, i was able to figure it out myself at the time, that i was tripping, didn't stop me from talking to myself though.

I was like this when i was young, reading erowid, and i started posting here. Infact i remember when you started posting. I was a goose back then imo - the knowledge i have now far outweighs the knowledge i had then, i'd describe that as a basic drug education, and now i'd call it advanced.. still not an expert (perhaps save for G related drugs)

Hey Ibis, now i am sure you have a magic relation with substances. Can you let me know the tripping dose of promethazine???? I use 250mg per single dose, at 50kg and i don't even get drowsey let alone trip. Are you sure it was prometh? Not dimenhydrinate? If you've seen that goo again i'm gonna die of envy!

^ sweet holy cow batman, 250mg would put me well and truly to sleep! 25-50mg has me drowsy for at least 12 hours with some residual foggy-headedness lasting into the next day. I've never taken more than 50mg but haven't had much delerium off doses of that size.... combined with doxylamine & temazepam I've had some memory loss though.

(75kg male btw)

Please be careful taking doses that high and be mindful of respiratory depression!
