Heroin is in the TGA's Schedule 9, but meth is still in Schedule 8 and can be technically prescribed. In reality I don't think it happens at all anymore.

But on the subject of this thread, not sure if I already replied but if I didn't. I"M not sure dxm really does potentiate codeine because I tried it with 300mg, and I was in pain before dosed up, and i was still in pain with dxm 45mg plus 300mg codeine. Now I certainly felt fucked up and at one stage thought I might pass out, so I actually had the phone in my hand ready to call 000.

BUT the effects didn't feel like more codeine than 300mg it felt different, and perhaps not relaxing, a strong feeling but not one that gave pain relief nor relaxation. Maybe some euphoria but thinking i was maybe going to die sort of cancelled that out.

Although i realise most people here prob aren't in pain, of those of you who are, have you noticed if dxm plus codeine gives you pain relief or does the interraction of the 2 simply create a sensation that maybe isn't related that much to codeine at all.
 
^DXM most def. increases analgesia from mostly all opioids, well all of those i've tried it with. Morphine, Methadone, Codeine all have been enhanced by this drug.

There was this paper about using dxm to assist cancer patients' analgesia, and i think at one stage there was even a morphine+dxm pill/formulation but yeah i don't know for sure.

As for your weird as reaction to the above drugs, i really cannot shed any light on that sorry man.

Yeah I've read human tests with DXM plus morphine, and yes increased analgesia. Never heard of any DXM plus Codeine double blind analgesia tests on humans.

Only read a rat report. Think they tried DXM in combination with 4 different opiates including Codeine. Both blood plasma and pain testing showed increased analgesia with all the opiates except codeine.

The DXM + codeine test showed decreased analgesia, & decreased levels of morphine in the blood, when compared to codeine alone.
 
In my experience DXM is the ultimate drug for making opiates hit you harder than anything.. I have a past in heroin addiction, and found that at the end of a high 2nd plateau dxm trip, i had one bag of dope remaining. .. I remembered reading on some faq that DXM and nmda dissociatives lower opiate tolerance so I was off to test this theory. As slammed the bag and THWAP!!!! I was higher than I have ever been off one bag. It was crazy. And if you ever have done doses of dxm you know you got that feeling when you are comming down that any drug is going to be really strong and intrigueing. It really does work. Now that I am on methadon maintenance I try it over and over again, sometimes Ill trip the night before i dose (this is when it works the best) or Ill take a few tabs (30mg dxm per tab) during my day of methadone when it starts to come down and feel it bring me right back up again.. DXM is not a kiddie's drug, just a drug that hasnt been realized its full potential. Its amazing, I have lost any fear of death completelty on ONE of my many dxm trips, and I have learned many many things that I didnt know were one hundred percent true until reading about them in a quantum mechanics book *seriously* ,,, If you've been where I have, then you know what I mean. Dxm for potentiator of the year, and for psychonaut tool of the year.

I wanted to ask you some questions about your experience in the codeine thread but that wasn't the place...

Do you have a link to that report? An important thing to remember is that rats aren't people. DXM might inhibit the metabolism of codeine into morphine in them (if they even carry that out), or something else might be going on. I'm in a shitty Thai internet cafe but when I get back to Australia maybe I will look into rats and codeine.

Have you used codeine much before? I wonder if you might be a CYP2D6 poor metabolizer, or if that enzyme has something to do with your experience as DXM is metabolized by that same isoenzyme.
 
I ingested double of my usual DXM dosage with my usual combo (same dosage with those) and all i can say is holy shit it felt like my 1st experience with opies. My legs are so red from the itching i was thinking of putting sum gloves on not to scratch it. Not sure if it was due to this or because i used a different brand of codeine. Either way im am totally baffled as this is my 3rd nite on em all.
 
^ I've gotten that same shit you speak of many times bro from doing alot of morphine/oxy/heroin, just slept/nodded in bed all night scratching myself because it felt so good and yeah i was uncontrollably itchy, fucking know what you mean man, was it all irritated when you woke up?

Anyways hard to say what made you get so much more buzzed. Personally dont even know how you get so high from codeine+dxm, like with all the stronger opies you do bro. Maybe you've had a break or cut down lately which is awesome.. I reckon def suss it out and work out why it worked so much better i'm curious to find out man.

Got a feeling it's the dxm though unless you rush your cwe usually and this new brand dissolved way faster and caused you to get heaps more codeine in the final solution, but you're pretty experienced with cwe'ing procedure so i'm gunna lean towards the dxm.
 
What i found that with this new brand i dont think i can mention brand names but when i filtered it there wasnt the same amount of filtrate left in the filter as the one i usually use. So im guessing this new brand is way better to extract. I prefer codeine and morphine over anything else that includes oxy and H. DXM def helps to reduce tolerance and increases its effects. As to my legs have a massive red scratch marks all the way down hahaha. Still scratching it now :P
 
^ You can name brands I think. I do. For example, I always use Chemists' Own because as a certain ex-BL'er once said, they dissolve if you spit on them. :)

Less filtrate in the filter would tell you that there are soluble binders or fillers probably... maybe less mess for the codeine to get caught in?

I think my tolerance is down after Thailand but I might try some DXM and see how it goes with the codeine.
 
The brand is called Pharmacor and has ibu and 12.8mg codeine in it. Was my third day on dean but 2 previous ones were panfen ones and pharmacor just thrashed me LOL Had 300mg DXM tonite and same ol panafen n didnt do too much whereas last nite i was literally nodding off 500mg and my leg is so red from last nites scratching its scary ahahaha
 
^ Ah, I've used that too... I didn't notice anything special about it apart from the pharma-saur jokes my friends made about it. ;)

Maybe it's just easier to work with then the other brands? Don't know, only one pharmacy I go to carries that brand.

You'd have to declare it and then they might want to check just to make sure that it's OK to have here because in Thailand a lot of medicine is available OTC that is Rx here as we know... antibiotics, NSAIDS, testosterone, etc....

Customs and security make me nervous especially after a flight when I haven't had a cigarette yet. I didn't bring back anything I shouldn't have and I still had a knot in my stomach going through the checkpoints. :\
 
Tried pharmacor on day 5 bender with my usual bars, dxm n everything same dose and can confirm they work alot better than other commonly used brands altho lot of chemists dont stock it. They work so much better. Can say double in strength. hehe
