It's a pretty heavy duty antipsychotic and the adverse effects are not to be taken lighly - particularly if you don't have a psychiatric disorder and not using it to manage episodes of psychosis etc.

I'd personally rather take diazepam any day over antipsychotics. Valium is a wonder drug and when it comes to sorting out sleep / hangovers / comedowns / anxiety and without the risk of nasty side effects, its a no brainer.

I was prescribed it for anxiety, along with Mirtazapine, but asked to have the Quetiapine to be stoppped as it left me doped into the next day. Great for knocking you out, better than 20mg of diaz I'd say
 
Just got back from the doctors, she has agreed to a diazepam taper, I have to hand over my illegally obtained alprazolam powder/propylene glycol solution though as one of the terms, also, she will only ever give me enough for one week at a time.

Will be starting tomorrow on 50mg diazepam split into two doses and taper down 5mg a week until I am at 10mg when I will taper down 2mg a week.
 
You'll be keeping some of your illegal stash behind just in case though eh? ;)
 
I didnt want to start a new thread for Diazies so I thought I'd post here.

I know everyone is different but what are peoples average use of these in a day?

And, What is the average or safe amount to consume in an evening?

Aye, its old and has nowt to do with the OP's problem.

I'm inexperienced with Diazies so was just looking for some HR and experieced advice.
 
I normaly use 5 - 10mg for anxiety, i dont have a big tolerance at all. For sleep i have went up to 50mg before with no problems. I try to leave at least a week between doses.
 
Thanks for that Danny. Think I'm just going to enjoy it today but leave it for necessary use in future.

I find it odd though that previously 2mg knocked my on my ass. I've taken well over that today and I'm still going strong. Perhaps these are weak. I dunno. Or, maybe cross tolerance with other things ? Though I've not been on anything today so I can't see how that would be the reason.

You've no real reason to take anymore though have you? Though ff you took a couple more you'd be in no danger. As I said earlier in the thread have had mates take 100+ 10mg pills on top of a bottle of vodka and survive. Fucking pointless though, they both regretted it big time afterwards. They were a sorry state for weeks, total monged.

Don't take them daily, keep them when needed for bad hangovers and comedowns and on occassions when you can't sleep. Don't take them every time you can't sleep or every time you feel slightly anxious because you'll get into the habit and you'll end relying on them as many people on here do.

I don't even take 10mg once a week these days though have taken them pretty constantly in the past as a student when out on the piss n taking drugs all the time and when in Asia and was pissed every single day so needed a hangover cure. Not a good idea in retrospect.

I'm fucking rambling now man and you know why? Because I've drank a bottle of wine and had some diaz. :D
 
Taking diaz doesn't really get me fucked or have much effect bar make me sleepy unless I mix with booze, they might be working you just haven't realised. If you're not tired they might not make you that sleepy at all.
 
maybe that's it then. I'm starting to feel ready for bed. I want a good night's sleep tonight. I want to be up quite early tomorrow and out of the house before anyone notices.
 
nitrazepam

will 5mg knock me out? i have basically no real tolerance too these things, i really wanna go sleep !
 
tommorow will be trying nitrazepam, will have 2 x 5mgs to try, how strong is it? I have a high tolerance to benzos so i doubt this will be enough but hoping it might help me sleep.
