Quick question which Im sure has been answered somewhere in this thread, I just havent seen it. Can you get withdrawels from suboxone? If so, what are they and how bad are they.

Can you also build a tolerance to Suboxone to a point where it doesnt make you feel anything whatsoever? Im not even sure if Im making sense.
Ok, I have one more question and Ill stop being a buggaboo. Does Suboxone show up on a 5 panel drug test?
I've started taking lower doses (around .50mg-.75mg range) and notice a lot better results so far and less side effects. Was wondering how much units of water you use James? Like for a .50mg shot I use around 35-40 units of water in a 1cc syringe and find that works fine but have heard of people using a lot of water for some reason?
Are you guys using heat at all when IVing? I saw the steps on how to do it, it said nothing about using heat, but I wanted to ask just to be sure.

Google could have answered this one for youBut no, a standard 5 panel does not test for bupe. However there are tests specifically for bupe. My sub doc does the bupe test to insure his patients are still using there suboxone...
Also I think there is something in the BLUA that says you are not supposed to ask about drug testing...
more frequently, and I don't think tolerance will become an issue. I think tolerance to buprenorphine is more dose-dependent (meaning IVing 2mg in one go *would* raise my tolerance), so if you stick to a certain dosage, there shouldn't be any tolerance to the effects.
In fact, I almost find repeated dosing yields better results, probably because there's a steady level of buprenorphine constantly going into and then out of your body. Continuing this cycle is what yields euphoria to me.
If I haven't done buprenorphine in a while, and I do it, the high is seemingly no better to me. By the 2nd shot I start to "feel better" so to speak.
Maybe if I injected more than just 26 mcg this would be the case for me too?
That's my suspicion at least.
SO, I went to my sub doc today (sounds like they'll take my insurance thanks to everyone that helped out with that) and the Reckit pharm rep was there to see the doc. He relayed to me what they were discussing and it's pretty interesting, thought I'd share it with you guys.
Reckit has manufactured a new form of suboxone and it's called suboxone film, it will be available at most pharmacies as of September 20th. The film is like those listerine tongue strips. Apparently it tastes better and dissolves sublingually in a fraction of the time. This is news to me, has anyone else heard of this?
Apparently they decided to produce this new form in order to hold on to the rights to suboxone and block other pharm companies from being allowed to manufacture generics when that time comes, and my doc made it sound like that time would be soon. I dont know if that means there will be no generic subs, or if there will only be generic tabs and Reckit held out on releasing the new form of the drug until the last minute so they would maintain control of the market by being the only ones with the "new improved" form.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
cool well dose that mean i shouldnt expect much more?

My Dr. said they'd be about 1.5 inches by an inch.
I figured IV users and snorters might not like this much, depending obviously, but some good could come out of this yet for everyone. If it means generics are coming, and the generics are on par with suboxone and have similar inactives and such, that means it's gonna be cheaper for everyone. And people that take it sublingually or WANT to take it sublingually but can't cuz they don't like the taste, also win.
CH- Doc told me that the tablets would still be available, and that drs will have to write specifically on the script "Suboxone Film" or the pharm will dispense you tabs. Also, I'm just speculating here, but my guess is the film WILL have naloxone in it. My reasoning is that my Dr made it sound like the new version had more to do with keeping a brand name and fighting generics than anything else, and if that's the case they'd have to keep the active ingredients the same. I think.
yea but what about those of us who use under 0.3 mg a shot? That would suck.
If it's about keeping patents, it is most likely it won't have naloxone. The current generics for buprenorphine don't have naloxone in them (they are generics for Subutex). That's just me speculating though.
