Chicago - what the hell is there to do around here!?

^ There is (was?) actually something to a similar effect in London (Ontario), except that you're yelled at and insulted by effeminate flaming homos. I never had the, err, balls (or money, to be honest) to go there by myself.

But yeah, Chicago, I'll be passing through there later this year (octoberish), I'd love to see more in this thread.

p.s. Boo @ I'll be missing RB's stop there.
 
The only thing I remember doing in Chicago as an adult (I grew up there as a wee palli) is going to an amazing comic book store. They sold Hello Kitty vibrators. I gave one to my main squeeze, and we promptly broke up.
 
Go see the Ba'Hai Temple in Willmette (just north of Evanston) to make a nice trip of it spend some time in downtown Evanston, walk thru the campus of Northwestern University, then go to the Ba'Hai temple. Its gorgeous.

check out the billy goat tavern, beneath michigan ave. (think SNL- Cheezborger! Cheezborger, Cheezborger! No Pepsi, Coke)

Logan Square is a neat neighborhood with many cafes and bars

There is really great ethnic food all over the city, ie. Thai, Indian, Ethiopian, etc..

take a bike ride on the lake shore path (you can rent bikes in various spots in the city)
 
Go downtown, enjoy the markups.

If you ride the Orange Line to Midway airport, don't let the niggas hustler you (its a dice trick, if you see dice don't bet 100). Its great entertainment though.

Enjoy our segregated neighborhoods (they're all mostly one ethnicity in every one). Chinatown is cool if you like bakery goods and large portions.

Stay on the northside as much as possible, the southside is much shittier.
 
Since the cubs suck you can prolly find tickets and cheap...personally I hate the cubs but wrigley field is the shit and is a must see before you die..kinda like going to fenway or old yankee stadium

I haven't done a meetup since like january or feburary and was wondering if anyone else has

There used to be a lot of Chi BLrs but they seem to have begone...I guess maybe the closure of your favorite posters favorite thread has something to do with it but can't be the only reason
 
It seems like most of the detroit BL'ers have disappeared too. I met up with one about a month ago, and thought that she looked familiar. Then that night on the news she was arrested for being the serial bank robber. She had hit 5 banks in 6 days. I recognized her from the bank servailance videos that have been on the news. Crazy shit.
 
makes you wonder cause the life we choose to live sadly they prolly fall into 3 categories perhaps 4. those would be dead in jail rehab or sober and left BL completely
 
I wouldn't call them friends but more like colleagues..but since I'm a loner when it comes to dope its cool sometimes to have someone else chillin too..

Bearded you talkin about suburbangirl? Lol she seemed to dissappear also

Visting Chicago.

Hi, I am visting Chicago for a couple of days and was wondering whats the funnest and best bang for my buck as for as things to do? Hope to hear from some of you chicago blers out there.
 
Perusing Michigan Ave, Navy Pier and the FOOD! Also, Division street is fun at night, if you are a drinker. Lots of bars to go to. Eat at Lou Malnati's, Portillo's, Wild Fire, Big Bowl, Gibsons (just to name a few). Also, even if you aren't into Baseball, try to make it to a Cub's game. Wrigley Field is amazing and the whole experience is something that can't be duplicated. Or even if you can't get tickets, go to the Addison stop on the Red Line El train while a game is going on. The bars are nuts.
