Erowid Reports HIGHLY EXAGGERATED?

That trip report reads like Fear and Loathing... except without anywhere near as many drugs and much more trivial retarded subject matter. The whole 911 thing does make it sound like planted info playing off what the government thinks we would be afraid of.

Heh this thread reminds me of this TR.

I've never taken Scopolamine but even with this TR I'm going to stay away from it.

This experience was so radical I still remember it vividly after 30 years.

My friends came up on a pallet load of expired drugs from a hospital headed for the hazmat dump site. We went thru the hard stuff MS, Diluadid, Dexoxyn, etc. With a rip roaring drug habit I started digging thru all the little bottles of unknown stuff. Thats when I came across the vial of pure Scopolamine Hydrobromide used for compounding and formulation.

The Drug Reference said it was used in over the counter sleep tablets, and I needed some sleep bad. I swallowed about ½ grain and injected ½ grain. BIG MISTAKE.

It was about 9:00pm and I don’t remember much of the next 12 hours. My stepson said I crawled around all night eating lint balls off the shag carpet and mumbled to myself. At times I felt perfect, except I couldn’t walk and the hallucinations were so vivid I thought they were real. I was so bad my stepson helped me get to a payphone to call the ambulance but the numbers on the phone were backward like in Russian.

The fire department came and took me to the ER. My body was like on a PCP overdose, and I could not even stay on the exam bed but kept slipping off onto the floor. It was funny cause I would go from a clear mind to talking to people who were not there. They shot me with valium 3 times to no effect. My heart rate was over 200 and my mouth so dry I could not talk.

The cops came, accused me of resisting arrest, and put me in a choke hold. After beating my butt right in front of the nurses, they took me to jail and tossed me into the rubber room. There I kept seeing a detective shove his handgun into the cell and pull the trigger. “Click” but no shot. He would laugh and pull his hand out. This happened over and over. Then I saw my grandma get thrown into the bull pen right across the hall. I saw the thugs rape her over and over. I was sure I could knock down the cell door and slammed into it with all my weight over and over. It was screaming I would kill those punks and they were all pointing and laughing at me.

It was 12:00 am the second night, the watch commander opened the cell to check on me at change of shift. I leapt from flat on my back like a cat and bit him so bad he had to go on work comp then retire. After that, they called me the biter. All the time I was in the padded cell I thought I saw pills all over the floor. I kept eating the pills hoping to come down. I thought there was a bowl of valiums in the middle. It was really the crap hole in the rubber room. Gross.

They took me upstairs the 3rd day to a medical unit. I thought I had a long sword stuck down my pant leg. I was walking with a stiff leg and the cops kept asking why I was walking funny. Over the next 12 hours my toilet was singing do-wop, my towel was Popeye’s kid Sweetpea swinging around the bars, and I was stuck in a standoff between the Hells Angeles and the Black Panthers. I must have killed a dozen men with my sword.

The third night I was afraid to move because I would set off a war and I was right in the line of fire. I lay frozen for at least 10 hours. The Black Panthers kept throwing dead cats into my cell.

The fourth morning I had to go to court so Mental Health interviewed me. I denied taking any illicit drug, knew who was president, what day it was, and where I was. I told them everything was fine ‘cept they keep throwing dead cats into my cell.

When I got back to my cell I noticed I could see more clearly, was able to shave (Had to threaten a fellow prisoner with beheading if he didn’t give me a razor) and went to court. I mustered every ounce of strength and told the judge it was all a big mistake. My wife had filed a police brutality report over the hospital incident and they let me go.

It took over a week and a lot of downers for it to wear off completely. I know what it is to be insane and come back. Don’t recommend it.

Otherwise, Erowid is no longer the reliable source of information it purports to be.

I stopped reading as soon as i saw "250mg hydrocodone". if you took the highest 10mg pill thats 25 of them. with 500mg of APAP thats 12 grams of acetaminophen right there. dude woulda been havin some liver issues. OPIUM and HYDROCODONE would absolutely fuckin not cause some type of crazy ass hallucinations like that mixed with such a small-ass amount of mushrooms. if they fresh they weigh so much more than when they dried so the active amount of psilocybin in there would be pretty small if he had less than 1 gram. pleeeeassse kid. no fuckin way you have smoe type of full blown crazy ass hallucination episode when you noddin on opium and vicodin with a tiny ass amount of shrooms tossed in. God damn, erowid is so fuckin lame. 8(

well, the first time I IV'd a painkiller, it was half of a Roxi 15 mg with no opiate tolerance. I felt amazing for 2 hours. 3 months later, I shoot a bag of good dope and the rush lasts only minutes :( It would make me crazy to think that I once got high off of so little. It probably helps that I'm 5'1 and 105 pounds...
 
I've wondered about that, but I also have occasionally had my ass HANDED to me by doses of psychedelics which have previously just had me tripping pleasantly before.
 
i agree, some are really well written but there are some ive read that are complete bullshit. like the one with the guy that got "bitten by a black widow spider" he describes all the things he hallucinated on the way to the hospital. yeah ok buddy
 
lacey .125oz is an eighth.
an eighth of shrooms isnt a tiny amount by any means.
i agree with you otherwise though.
 
I've had some profound experiences with caffeine. It generally only works if you have no tolerance though.


Also, maybe someone already posted it, but there's a methamphetamine report so ridiculous that erowid even acknowledged its silliness within the trip report but decided to keep the report up anyway.

do you happen to know the title of it? I wanna read it but don't wanna pour over 30 reports of a drug i have extensive experience with just to find one silly report.

If I find it I will link it here(if that is allowed).

Meth made that guy not able to count properly. 11:34 to 11:40 is not seven minutes; it's six. LOL

While that is a really silly report I can confirm that some of those negative after affects of over use will occur. I'll not bore anyone here with the details except to say I have permanently altered the way my heartbeats, the flow of mucus in my nose/sinus, my cognitive abilities, the way I communicate face to face with people and that I get really extreme sinus headaches regularly.

I am not proud of the side effects however, I do not regret doing meth for as long as I did it(only the amounts and how often I was using). Those were some of the craziest years of my life; I learned a lot about myself and the way the world and the people in it work.

I am not condoning heavy or regular meth use or binges but I am not demonizing the drug either. I think that all things have the potential to cause harm if not used in moderation.

I'll not pull this thread off track any further. If anyone wants to talk about the permanent negative effects of heavy meth usage or if you are doing meth heavily and are concerned that something you are experiencing is real and not just paranoia like your friends try to say it is; feel free to PM me and we can talk about it more.
 
Some are really funny to read. I think the example given here was caffeine. Those can be good, benadryl also... they can just be the most delightful trainwreck/watching the boat crash on the rocks from shore type of experiences. All in all though I've always loved reading erowid experience reports, I don't read them for raw data though, I just read them for fun and personal amusement.

That guy is a fool, if at first you aren't miserable enough, do it 2 more times. Also would you really wanna be shitting your brains out while all disconnected and in the depths of a DXM high. I don't believe that this report is real. There is absolutely no information about his trip and too much information about shoving things up and expelling liquids out of his ass.
 
Also, have you seen how old the 'media coverage' sections are?
Most of the links are 3-4 years old and dead. You click on them but nothing is there.

I'm beginning to think Erowid is no longer a functional entity.
Along with the other place online... like this site...I'm sure it's monitored and full of whatever. Oh well. Every loop hole gets closed sooner or later.
