Temazepam?

Temazepam is the best benzo for recreational purposes hands down.
powerful hypnotic, plus it makes me happy as shit.

xanax and klonopin are like skittles next to temaz!!

In my experience with temazepam I would reccomend 45mg for your first time, if not 60mg, just make sure you avoid alcohol. If you had one or two beers then 30mg could probably skate you through.

I find temazepam has to be taken in reasonably high doses to be appreciated, where taking lower doses of certain benzo's like diazepam or clonazepam has nice subtle effects that can still be appreciated, in my experience temazepam has little to offer in the way of more subtle benzo effects but is one of the better ones for getting blatantly fucked.

Even without tolerance and for my first times trying it low doses of temazepam were decidedly un-recreational for me (as they are with most benzos). I'd start off at at least 45-60mg - my normal recreational doses are around 100-160mg usually, but I do occasionally go higher, or then have a little less and drink a couple beers when I'm running out of pills.

As for being of use for insomnia, I found them to be useful at the 20mg mark in the beginning, but once I got a tolerance from recreational higher doses, even 40mg would not put me out after a few weeks of no benzos at all - I had to be put in nitrazepam, which works now.

It has decent sedative and muscle relaxant properties at slightly higher doses and is among the more pleasurable of the benzos for recreational use, but I personally don't rate it anywhere near as highly as most people here do. Way better than diazepam, but like eating candy when compared to alprazolam/clonazepam/nitrazepam or many others.

I know every one reacts differently to benzodiazepines and has a different favorite (hence all the what is the best benzo threads), I find it interesting that after you built a tolerance to temazepam you were put on nitrazepam. Nitrazepam isn't used in the US, but when I took it in 10mg doses, I never really liked it very much because I felt it took awhile for the onset of action and it always had a hangover effect leaving me drowsy. Temazepam in 30mg doses was much more recreational and a better sleeping pill in general for me. Also I find it interesting how z-drugs, specifically zolpidem is most likely the most addictive drug I have ever been prescribed (this includes benzos, amphetamines, and opiates) due to it giving me a total disinhibition euphoria. Most doctors would rather rx drugs like Ambien because they believe benzos like Xanax, which I know take and have no problems with, are too addictive.

^ I think you would be in the overwhelming minority if you truly find zolpidem tartrate more recreational than benzodiazepines, amphetamines AND opiates. In my mind all of those drugs >zolpidem tartrate, not to say it has no recreational value whatsoever, but imho it is minimal.

I took 60mg last night and I can't really remember much. All I really remember is fighting to stay awake. I'm thinking that I took too much.

Yeah, if thats the case I would try taking 45mg next time, maybe even 30mg with a 15mg booster dose. Obviously it isn't very recreational to just pass out.

Well I find that in equivalent doses, nitrazepam is the far more sedating. It did have more residual hangover effects, granted, but I took feeling a little groggy in the morning from 10mg of nitrazepam compared to not sleeping or barely snoozing for half an hour on 40-50mg temaz.

oxcontin + benzos? good mix?

if so which benzo in particular

sorry to the OP x

I always enjoyed Klonopin the best with opiates like OxyContin because it lasts longer. And yes, they are a good combo. (benzos + Oxy)
thanks very much for the quick and straight to the point answer.

well i done around 20mg oxy about 1and half hours ago, wasnt feeling much (id usually be pretty fcked! of 20mg) so i necked 6mg clonazepam (i have a high tolerance btw ) that was before you answered mn thread.

"great minds think alike"

and

"fools never differ" =D

5 minutes ago i just took another 40 mgs of oxycontin, see how things go.....

60-75mg is what I'd recommend for first time. It's my 2nd favorite benzo, following klonopins. I tend to stay a bit more clearheaded on temaz, speaking of the hazy, somewhat drunk feeling that high doses of benzos generally provide.

I don't know whether you take them orally or snort, but a small warning before you empty out a capsule: there's a LOT of powder in each one, and it's very, very bitter. Like immediately after doing a small line I nearly always start coughing for around a minute. I would almost describe it as being chalky.

TL;DR: 60-75mg first time dose, don't snort due to unpleasantness, take orally and make sure you keep yourself awake.

^ Mixing an opiate with a benzo is fairly dangerous unless you have a fairly high tolerance to both. The two together can cause respiratory depression meaning you could stop breathing.

Temazepam is my favorite recreational benzo, and my favorite for inducing sleep, save triazolam.

I would recommend starting lower than 60-75mg...for me, 30mg, perhaps 45, is probably an "ideal" no-tolerance dose. Before I had used benzos more than a few times, though I've never used them regularly, 15mg would have been reasonably pleasant for me, but I tend to prefer lower doses than most people.

The combination of opiates and benzos is responsible for a good portion of both opiate and benzo overdoses, and is significantly more dangerous than either by themselves. It's a 1+1=3 situation.

Temazepam Midozolam and Diazepam are the only ones out of the common benzos that produce a discernible euphoria

Temazepam+oxycodone= a awesome combo :D . This used to be a fav of mine way back when i had a good script writing doctor who would write for loads of percocets or oxt IR's and temazepams every week. The opiates coulda been justified but no way can you justify 30 30mg mazzie caps a week 8o

Be very careful mixing benzos and opiates because they increase each others respiratory depression so if you take too much you could OD or die if you havent the tolerance for it.

Hypnotic benzos paticularly temazepam are more dangerous in terms of respiratory depression then say clonazepam.
