Temazepam?

What does it do/what are it's effects? I have some 15mg capsules and I'm planing on taking it tonight so I'd like to know what it does and how much I should take.

It will make you feel relaxed and sedated, I quite like temazepam as a benzo. Don't mix it with other CNS depressants until you are more experienced, I like mixing it with codeine for a good time.

Take probably 30mg or so for a newbie and see how you go.

^^ indeed you'll have more than all the info you need on wiki and erowid... but start with 30mg... don't take it if you're feeling sleepy or you'll fall asleep... and it produces a very strong chilled out no stress feeling... some people go as far as calling it euphoria because if you are very anxious/nervous, it will take that all away immediately... for some it doesn't do much at all apart from making them a bit tired...

so starrt at 30 and if you feel after 1 hour you're enjoying it and are not too sedated you can allways redose 15mg...

Temazepam is a hypnotic benzodiazepine which means that it is prescribed for sleep. Benzodiazepines all have anti-anxiety, muscle relaxant, anti-seizure and hypnotic properties. Taking too much benzos can also cause amnesia.
This being said, temazepam makes you feel happy and relaxed (possibly sedated) before going to bed. Some people experience euphoria.
As I beginner who wants to get "high" I'd recommend 60-75mg.
If you have a lot and you find them enjoyable for sleep, don't take them daily because you can experience physical withdrawals if you do take them too many days straight. They are the most physically addicting drugs that are prescribed or taken on the street. You can get addicted even if you don't abuse them.

The beginning dose really would depend on whether you've had prior experience with benzos. 30mg is what I was prescribed for a nightly dose, and I think I took 45 or 60mg my first time and felt pretty good. Enjoy!!

I've never understood why US docs prescribe such high doses for insomnia. I'm prescribed 10mg of temaz per day for insomnia and it's almost always enough even after being on it for 20-odd years. Don't use it daily though. 30mg gets me nicely high (triple digit doses are also fun but 30mg is enough for a decent buzz, I find) and am hardly benzo-naive - I'd say 30mg is a good starter recreational dose for anyone. Can always take more if required. No point sending your benzo tolerance through the roof if you don't have to

Because 15-30mg is just the suggested prescribed dose for insomnia. If you want to get "high" with temazepam than you should roughly double that dose, regardless if its your first time. Doctors don't prescribe doses to get you "high". So do you want relief of insomnia or do you want to get "high"? From the previous prescription drugs that you've taken recently I've noticed you need much higher doses than most beginners. Remember taking 30mg of oxycodone and feeling nothing? 450mg of Lyrica

When I was very first prescribed it for insomnia I was given 30mg capsules. I took one but needed two to actually help my insomnia. Before going to sleep (from 60mg) I felt pretty nice and relaxed before hitting the sack. After a few days I found what hit my spot; 120mg. I don't suggest that dose for a newbie or someone with a slightly low tolerance but my point is, if you want to feel as good as you can from temazepam, take higher than the prescribed dose. Your not looking for relief of insomnia.

The worse that can happen is that you'll fall asleep. If that happens you have another night. (although you shouldn't take benzos on a daily basis, two days in a row is fine.)

Silentstar, I have much experience with temazepam and benzos. I'm no Greenlighter who just read some crap off rxlist.com. I know what I'm talking about. How about this...take 30mg and if you are feeling nothing after an hour than take another 30mg. (Or you could take my word and take the entire 60mg at once) You run no risk of overdose nor addiction if you keep to weekends or so and you run no risk of tolerance if you do that.

Well hopefully 60mg will do it for you but if it still isn't working within an hour than I guess, sure take another 30mg. After all, your looking to get high. Trying to suggest the best you can get out of it. (Just remember: keep to weekends or special occasions if you enjoy it, the are VERY addictive)

I'm not really sure why my doctor prescribed 30mg. She was reluctant at first to even give me temazepam; said that the large majority of her patients were on the "z drugs" (zopiclone and zolpidem.) Anyways, I've only seen 15 and 30mg capsules. How did you end up with 10mg?

Oh, and yeah, everyone above is right on when they say to use it on a not-daily basis. I was taking temazepam (30mg) nightly for about a month, and by the end of the month a 30mg dose wasn't nearly as effective as my first couple of times taking it.

Temaz almost always come as 10mg pills in the UK. We used to get eggs/jellies up to 30mg but only used in hospitals and old folks homes now cos people were shooting them up and losing limbs too often. Selfish sods.

Watch out with Benzo's though, they have a thing for making you think you're not high enough, then you take more, then you black out. Know your limit.

^^ True that, fuck benzo's actually. I've lost many girlfriends, close friends, and have run into problems with the law thanks to GABA-A Agonists (and how they fuck your memory and not know what the fuck you are doing), fuck Benzo's & Alcohol.

GABA-B Agonists on the other hand are much better, and much more euphoric IMO, never had memory problems with GHB.

the one thing I like about GHB though, is even on HIGH doses, I still now what the fuck I am doing. High doses of Alcohol or Benzo's, and you don't have a clue.
