There's alot of cool shit I want.

Hehe wafflesickles :D

Hey thanks for the feedback for my rants in this thread today guys. I went up the coast today and scored a whole heap of awesome stuff at the sales around the place. I got an awesome Furi, East/West pro 17cm knife so thanks Eggman for the heads up on them. I also checked out torches at a big camping store and can get the same maglites on ebay for virtually half price.

Edit: realized Eggman was talking about Shun knives :\
Oh well, they were past my price range...

a headlight?! Man that's awesome!

they're good machines, all the carpet cleaners I've had have always used kirbys

how much did you pay for yours if you don't mind me asking?

TBH, I stole it form my parents, my old man bought it and my Mum never used it; they had one of those systems with plugs in the wall in the house so you just plugged in the hose and vacuumed away.

If memory serves me right, I think my Dad paid about 2K or so for it back in 1996?
Apparently, they can pick up a VW beetle; I saw a video once and no there was no Chris Angel anywhere in sight.
I'm happy with it but it's heavy as funk. It even has Drive and Neutral on the foot pedal. :)

dude the majority of stuff on ebay is 'clone'/fake, are you sure it's an original maglite?

I will put money on it if it's half the retail price it's a fake from china, if you don't have enough balls to shop online, then buy in a shop that you are guaranteed to be able to get your money back.....

ahhh ducted, that's what I want here :-)

I still want a kirby, anything that has a neutral pedal sounds manly in my view!

plus the spotlight for roo shooting makes it sold for me hahahaha

This has been bugging me all night because I browse ebay literally everyday looking for bargains. I always look at feedback and for the transparency of the store, I don't want to get ripped off. I use google to check other online stores to see what the general prices are and even look for the items in shops and generally get a feel for the brand. Maybe that's true for maglites, but a lot of people are getting ripped off there with no idea if that is the case. It looks like the main Australian distributor online is LE Gear, and the prices are similar to ebay prices. Proper shops are just a rip off really, but there are lots of advantages I must admit, returns and actually seeing the product.

I think stuff online is always going to be cheaper because there isn't the overheads of a conventional shop. I have bought about 3 or 4 pairs of New Balance online this year and they have all been literally half the price of in shoe shops. I won't buy them full price ever again, the online store is great. You can ring up a call center in America 24 hours a day and give them your credit card number over the phone. I even returned a pair of walking shoes that were about $200 no questions asked because they weren't comfortable.

This is turning into a bit of a rant, but generally from my experience anyone can access the exact same catalogs retailers would use and get them cheaper around the place.

On Topic:

Looking around in second hand shops for a chest of drawers. I want really big drawers and a nice sturdy construction and I really bloody need them too! The set up I have at the moment is falling apart and I have piles of washing all over the house.

This sort of thing would be perfect. Hopefully one will turn up for about $50 in a used furniture place. I got an awesome Pine TV unit for $30 at the local place, I like going in there and monitoring what they have.

I have a very fine Gerber knife. Though I've run out of unscarred square inches of my body to attack. Volunters?

Is it morbid that I've been sitting here for an hour looking at knives on ebay? How cool is this, it's a Razel (cross between a razor and a knive)

I wonder if ASIO have a file on me? :)
