The 6-APB (that may be 6-APDB but probably isn't) Train Wreck of a Thread

A "thumbprint" of the substance would be a pretty good description I would think. Am very much a layman myself but that is essentially what it is, as far as I know. It shows the chemical make-up of what the substance sent out was, I believe. Somebody who actually understands it properly could probably explain far better though.
 
How did you get it? Like for the specific batch? I understand if it's hush hush or whatever but I am just interested in how one acquires one. I doubt you have a spectral analyzer in your back yard and just chuck the substance in and out comes the graph...

Maybe for a chemist sure but as you said you're a layman.

I've been more interested in chemistry since watching breaking bad. I find it pretty fascinating :).
 
I can't tell you where I got it from but it is (as far as I know) the analysis provided by the lab that made the stuff and shows the batch of the drug that was recently sent out as samples that some of us have been fortunate enough to sample :)
 
So what is the general concensus regarding the difference between 6-apdb and 6-apd. The same, similar or completey different substances?
 
well I'm glad to see there is finally some scientific related info out there now for people to analyse.

just doing a bit of reading myself! 'Mass spectrometers (MS for short) are machines that give scientists a look at the composition and origin of a material by analyzing and quantifying its atoms and molecules. They do this by vaporizing the sample (if it’s not already a gas) to make it easier to work with, ionizing it to give it a charge, then seeing how those ions react to a magnetic field. That reaction tells scientists what a particle's mass is. The machine then sorts and counts these particles, revealing the specimen’s chemical makeup.'
 
The picture provided is actually 1H NMR in D2O.

On the first sight, it looks indeed like genuine 6-APB (probably a salt; it was measured in D2O): 5 signals in the aromatic range vs. 3 for 6-APDB. The rest is hard to deciper though. Methyl is there, so is methylene and methylidene. No signal for the amine, but that was expected in D2O.

Nice! Thanks for the spectrum! I can see several impurities though. Check minor signals at 2.1, 2.8, 3.7, 6.8 and 7.25. All these shouldn't be there, if this batch is intended for human consumption. But impurities seem to be an accepted standard nowadays.

Yes, I was wondering about this myself. There is a slight shift about 0.1ppm or 0.2ppm towards 0 in the higher region (maybe because of the solvent?) for the two aromatic protons nearest to the isopropylamine chain. One would predict a peak somewhere about 6.5ppm (alkenyl 1H approximate to phenyl ring) also so the presence of that is not surprising. Yet strangely the peak is quite a bit higher than expected. The peak near delta=7.7ppm really strongly indicates the the alkenyl proton adjacent to the oxygen, though, so it sure seems like the benzofuranyl amphetamine derivative.

I am spending hours and hours going through threads and reading about various RC's trying to find the next best thing to my so much missed meph

All I have discovered so far is that NO ONE! has anything worth buying

God I wish this stuff would just get through so we can get some proper reports up coz its damn clear at the moment no one has anything in the UK
 
only used meph once - 50mg and it blew my mind! decided not to use it again for a few months, and then the ban hit :(

Anyway back to 6-APB.

All the official vendors are saying 1st July (end of June). However, does anyone know what's actually going on?

Are there bulk quantities in the UK yet?

If not, are the labs sending it out via post to the vendors around 25th June? if so, whats to say its not going to get held up at customs under confiscation for a few months just like 5-iai is?

have the labs sent any bulk amounts to the vendors yet?

have the labs manufactured many pellets yet?



There really is no detailed news on whats going on with this and this magical date of 1st July will almost definitely get set back...again! ;/
 
so how stimmy is this stuff on the heart/circulation etc? as dodgy as meph or anything? sounds good but i get anxious on things that are too stimulating.

Well, bluelight mods have stepped in in the past and allowed source discussion once it was discovered that toxic materials were being sold as something other than their label. Unless that happens though, I think it's best for this forum to remain source discussion free, and by harm reduction I don't mean protecting people's wallets. A scam artist who sells benign on nonexistent substances is not an issue for harm reduction. Source discussion attracts all sorts of unneeded spam, shilling, and name calling that doesnt help anyone.

When I was on the needle exchange program in the lower east side of manhattan, they had a bulletin board listing which dope brands were circulating which had been cut with pcp (awful), high doses of benzos, or had the bags that were some high potency synthetic that was improperly cut where 4 out of 5 bags would be dummies but 1 out of 5 would be as strong as 5 normal bags. They did not list however, who was selling dummies, or whose dope was the best potency or the best deal. This was for obvious reasons of now wanting to attract a lot of nonsense.

I personally found it much less heavy on the heart - my HR was still raised, but not as much as meph or m1 (maybe cos i didn't need to keep redosing).

However, YMMV (as they say) -

The binding numbers suggest that it is less so than MDMA, but there isn't really sufficient data yet.
And meph sets the bar really fucking low. ;)
 
Right apologies if this is breaking the rules mods.

Have heard from a vendor that at present it's definitely 100mg pills, no talks about powder yet.

Bulk orders are being done at the end of this week apparently (1000 +) e.g for the headshops and will be available for smaller purchases the middle of next week e.g. me and you.

Not disclosing the prices, but vendor has tried them as he said in his opinion they are worth the prices that are being discussed ( I know a vendor will say this as it's in his interests).
 
This is my problem. Obviously it's against the rules but my biggest worry is buying from a vendor who is going to claim they have 6-apb and will send me something else.

I've tried to do my research and will just be buying from vendors who all seem to be towing a line of not selling early. I will just try to remain vigilant I guess and not be suckered into a vendor saying they have it early.
