MDMA made in a toilet!

If you're smart enough to synthesize MDMA, wouldn't you be smart enough to realize that a ceramic bowl has the same characteristics as a toilet bowl?

Ok, fair enough, the ad 'works'... but the tragic thing is that there is a generation of kids now (my age!) who woudn't even know what MDMA is, they don't know what it does, how it works, the feelings it produces, nothing at all! It's all just about getting drunk and doing stupid shit and apparently that's ok because hey, they don't make alcohol in toilets.

ah man... all depressed now... haha, well, just my 2 cents :P

It's not sad so much that my children won't know what MDMA is, the worrying part is what replaces these older and more researched compounds, which judging from the trends of the last couple of years will be the everlasting list of research chemicals. I may sound like a broken record here but pity there isn't a proper education syllabus in place which can teach anyone about illicit and even legal drugs.

Im amazed no one has studied the toilet ecstacy picture enough to realise the tube running into the toilet is merely the water outlet from the condensor. last time i checked pouring water into a toilet was no different to pouring it down the drain. Theres actually some pretty good tips in these pictures if you study them hard enough. Im sure swim could actually produce some very clean substances, using the setup pictured for one of the steps. still, drugs are bad... well thats what the government told me anyways so it must be true.

I have no idea how to produce mdma but I suspect this may well be a real picture taken at some lab they have uncovered somewhere.

They wouldnt just make this shit up.

The point is however that there are lots of weird ass things probably used to make a lot of prescription pills (those chemists amongst you feel free to slam me down) and certainly used to make a lot of weird ass stuff we use everyday of our lives quite safely.

It was also pointed out that its a proven fact the toilet is far cleaner than other common household items such as the phone, money and dishcloth for example.

I still however stand by my original post that I truly believe its a good thing and that its a worthwhile avenue to stop those who are not able to think for themselves or who are easily swayed ...........to not do drugs.

^I agree. still i doubt that was any kind of MDMA lab... It was just meant to look fukn filthy and sway the ignorant.

Sure enough, it seems like those they are targetting are those who shouldn't/wouldn't do drug anyway?

The photo was actually photoshopped to the max!

A mate of mine who did the artistry on this photo was telling me they started off with a picture of an average looking bathroom and added things from there! Its seriously not even real half of it!

And is this guy 2 posts above me serious..

"THE GOVERNMENT WOULDNT MAKE STUFF UP!"

(not a direct quote but he basically said that!)

lol!

Mate, your in for a real shock. The government ALWAYS makes shit up! EVERY government... To keep you in control and thinking the right way. Its all about putting on your socks and black shoes and going to work and you mow your lawn, he mows his and everything keeps moving along smoothly the way its supposed to... for now.

I don't think this is ourcing because it's a non-for-profit website. www.wikileaks.com has exposed many lies by the Australian government. I wouldn't believe a word they tell you if I were you.

Yep I'll have a bit of a dig. Off the top of my head a couple of things they did was release the early "unofficial" list for the internet filter and a story on Aus army spendage.

Hmm I can't see any sort of archive on wikileaks... I'll have a bit more of a look around the interwebz and see if I can find one.

Here is a web story about the internet filter blacklist.

.

bahahahaha. You cannot seriously think anyone is going to believe you.

Mate, there is no need to photoshop this shit from scratch. They bust labs all the time and would take a bazillion pics. I have no doubt that a bathroom is an area used by some to cook shit.

If your gunna spin shit then at least be slightly credible about the way you do it.

As for what you want to believe about what governments say..........thats up to you. As I mentioned earlier, the adverts are going to stop a lot of idiots from doing drugs and thats a good thing. The smarter ones will seek out further info to find out the truth for themselves.

Of course its also true to suggest that the really dumb ones will still use drugs anyways and probably reason that anything the government says must be bullshit so the opposite is true..............yay drugs are good for you.

As for me? Well I wear my trusty aluminum foil hat so the government cant affect me.

Sorry, I had to come over from the European boards to say what a missed opportunity this is. Why hasn't someone suggested taking MDMA, raising one eyebrow and saying in a Roger Moore voice: "I'm feeling a little flushed."

It's an outrage.

Cos it would be a shit joke?

Nah its OK, Im just taking the piss.

I'd sure as hell put it UP my cystern ;P

Interesting to note Wikileaks also made an appearance on the leaked government blacklist.

Wikileaks has done released a huge amount of shocking information. Most of the big shocking corruption and misconduct news stories come from Wikileaks. They have a massive international reach.

I highly suggest everyone checks it out.

Perhaps that pic is an extreme and/or unlikely - but I do believe drugs (apart from drugs straight from the pharmacy) aren't often made in the most sterile of environments. What about bacteria? what about infections? Just because you use drugs - (and I do) doesn't mean you shouldn't be careful about your health.

I think the message of the ad is meant to be a scare tactic thing: 'you don't want to take drugs made in a filthy toilet - and what's worse there made out of all your common house hold poisons which can KILL YOU!!!, lol - and some people who don't know any better will see it that way. But I think the ads are not trying to put drug users in a bad light - but they do put drug manufacturers in a bad light. -and if it gets anyone considering more about health risks and harm reduction I think that's a good thing ;) - i.e I would never shoot without a Bacteria filter!

Just putting a different slant out there...

None of us definitively know if the picture has been altered or not. For most advertising the images are altered to convey meaning at a higher magnitude.

This picture has the potential to turn off drug users and probable drug users. A human being with a preconceived disposition on drugs be it negative or positive will most likely look at this advertisement and be turned off or not respond at all, the latter being the most likely reaction of an illicit drug user with a minority actually being affected by the advert.

A scope of the advertisement could have possibly been to target drug culture as well. These are all placed in club and bar bathrooms where I live and for face value does indirectly put drug users in a negative light, as the product of what is being made in the bathroom is being put into someones mouth etc. To the uneducated demographic in these venues this would seem rather disgusting but the government does have an agenda and the severity of this picture illustrates it, not all MDMA labs are like this.

One of the NSW driving campaigns which featured in the last couple of years is I guess a good analogy for what I'm trying to say.

By placing these ads in high traffic areas (pubs, clubs) for the target demographic whereby they will engage with the advertisement the government is trying to emulate the scenario in the above video. Instead of drug use, speeding etc. being an underground, respectable and cool thing to do they're trying to reverse this view and make it something which is frowned upon.
